The ultimate form of peer pressure IS Democracy. Are we for standing alone against the masses even when they are factually wrong? Or do we say the masses decide facts? To quote a great philosopher: "Democracy is government of the people, by the people, for the people, but the people... are retarded." Democracy is the fairest form of government only when the majority of people care for the minorities.
It really shows Gregs strength to adapt to a situation, he is talented both as a comedic straight man and a goof. Richard is more limited in his comedic persona but so very refined at it. Their dynamic was most pleasing indeed.
It's the teacher vibes of Greg Davies. Him and Ayoade mix chaotically like two separated educators, one Geography and English Lit, let loose together on the final day of the tired year without a care left and ready to be a bit of kids themselves.
I would have never thought "bad dong" would be hilarious. But seeing an 8ft tall Taskmaster giggling like a schoolgirl over it makes it ridiculously funny
He's so good at deadpan it makes it makes it so much funnier when he breaks. Like the time he told Mel Giedroyc (referring to Jimmy), "Don't let that f***ing cyborg speak to you like that." 😂
@@terranovarubacha5473 I've seen Cameron Diaz drunkenly touching Richard's hair while talking about pubes ... there's something magical about that man, truely magical
I just love how Rob and Jo just never touch the damn thing. Everyone else is putting their lips all over it, and they're just "no, we have life experience, we know better than to put things in our mouths."
Greg's "help me" expression at 28:29 will never not slay me. 🤣 The naughtiest boys in the class are always the most charming. 😊 I appreciate this cut of the show - it adds more context than the other, shorter 'bad dong' clip mashup out there, without having to go through the entire show.
Somehow even with all the noel and russell episodes, including the two together, this feels like the quiz where jimmy had the least control of the show
It's all down to Greg Davies. The man was a teacher, he knows how to control a room full of children...especially when he's the biggest child of them all. 🤣 (For real, though, Giggly Greg is so delightful, when he's wound up, it's impossible not to just sit back and let him go.😊 Everyone comes out a winner.)
Even feels like by the end he wasn't amused by the bad dong joke. He was just rushing to the end. He's usually a good sport with other people's jokes, but he seemed to have had enough here.
"Strange men standing at podiums distributing quiz questions is no basis for a system of government. Supreme executive power derives from a mandate from the contestants, not from some farcical aquatic ceremony!" :P
I admire the thought, but I wish it was something I'd read. When Rob Brydon does that long, slow explanation of things I can't help but switch off. There are enough slow, boring people in my real life and I never ask them to entertain me. Sorry.
"I think there's going to be quibble over this" "Quibble? There will be no quibble. I mean, if you got it right, you got it right" "Well, that's happened before"
Am I the only one that would spend so much money to have dinner with Richard Ayode and Greg Davies? 🤣 and it would be money well spent. They have always been in my top 10 of people I would diiieee to meet. Individually they are so damn hilarious, together I didn’t know something could be so good.
Richard Ayoade says Moss is an exaggerated version of himself. Judging by his comedic style I would say Moss is a more reserved version of him. The man has some of the most hilarious insults & meltdowns on 8 Out Of 10 Cats & Big F@t Quiz. Any fan of Richard has to watch his rant about people stealing his sweets it is comedy gold
@@Stuart267 ahahaha remember when he was like “my mistake, you asked me how I was, I thought you were genuinely asking how I’ve been doing, so I was telling you” etc 🤣 love it so much
He's way, way hotter than he looks. He's the kind of guy who doesn't turn your head when he walks into a room, but after a few minutes, you can't take your eyes off him.
For the life of me, I do not understand why "bad dong" is so hilarious, but I've seen this episode/clips from it many times, and I still laugh myself to tears by the time it's over. :D
I just rewatched "the watch" or whatever with Ben stiller, Vince Vaughn, Jonah hill and Richard ayoade, and I just gotta say the decision to have Richard's character turn out to be a friendly alien makes more and more sense the longer I think about it.
British shows in general seem to have less taboo topics and/or censorship for humour so they’re more fun. Your neighbour to the North has similar tv show rules to you!
@@diamund223 We're a bit more free in what we're willing to say north of the 49th, but we're too close to the elephant to be as free in our speech as the Brits are.
It's rare to see Richard break character but when greg pretended to be frustrated because he said bad dong you could see richard trying to hold back his laughter.
oh dear, thought I would have this on in the background for a good chuckle ones in a while as I worked. I ended up too engrossed, forgot to work, coughed myself silly and ruined my make up with all the cry laughing. Thank you... I think.
