The reasoning for this is actually in the game code. If the opponent is immune, It means that they can't be targeted by any random spell, so it defaults to hitting own face if there are no other targets. The spontaneous explosion is cuz hearthstone runs a calc. I don't know the exact code but it's something along the lines of: cast 60 pyros at random targets. Then: is player still alive. If yes, then opponent dies.
@@gryllodea well, not ANY other way. Immune also acts like stealth, which means that the opponent cannot use a spell like assassinate to destroy a immune minion. You can see this in the clip with 2 immune heroes: all pyroblasts hit your own face, as the opponent cannot be targeted.
A 1/16 chance for Yogg to survive both brawls. I think most people, including myself, would have just risked the chance for extra face damage. Edit: oops my bad I did the math wrong, sorry
@@Scr3xx i think after his 'drama' earlieri n the year everyone has dropped amaz like a lead balloon, so i wouldn't expect to see anything from him in these kinds of vids anymore.
Had a Yogg I needed to eat everything or steal his board cast mystery box near the end of the turn so I couldn't wait for each spell, saw I could attack and hit his face accepting my loss only to see that one of the last spells yogg casted was the new card in rogue that gives your hero stealth for the turn so coul'dve actually lived for another turn, I should've saved that but I was too mad I ruined my chance lol
To every single other Hearthstone fun clip complication editors out there, THIS is how you edit Yogg Pyroblast clips to not make your audience get annoyed, thinking "aw shit, here we go again".
5% of the time, it works every time But to be serious, none of the other options would have been bad, apart from maybe terrible luck on filling the board and giving yours rush.
so a long time ago i had an amazing moment in hearthstone. it wasnt filmed or clipped or anything but ill tell it here. so if i remember right, i was doing a tavern brawl. which one i dont remember but essentially i had no board and was about at 15 health, while my opponent has three or four health but has one or two taunt minions. however, one of his minions was one of the ogre dudes that has a chance to miss a target. and i? i topdeck soul mirror. for those who dont know, soul mirror makes a copy of all enemy minions and has your copy minions attack the original enemy ones (i think that card is actually in this video). i think you know what happened. i thought about what i should play and what to do against a pretty much full board and some taunts. then it hit me. i played soul mirror. the minions attacked as normal until the ogre dude. he was a 4/4 with a 50% chance to attack the wrong target. my opponent has 4 health. it misses its target and hits his face. best moment in my hearthstone career
Welcome to our fair, spend time without care, visit tents filled with history, what the wheel shows is a mystery. You can be a champ or a dog, but do know it's all up to Yogg.
Fucking Yogg killed me the first time I played it with Nozdormu. Apparently, if you summoning him with Yogg, short turn timer will start immediately as the wheel of fate spins By the time it was out, my turn ended before I could even see what my own minions were.
@@flamefusion8963 25% chance to instantly lose is much bigger than a 0% chance to lose. Hindsight or not, but he had no need to risk this way, because he would still retain the board.
@@flamefusion8963 The upside of winning the brawl is that you gain +1/+1 of stats on the one Rattlegore that doesn't die, compared to trading them. Against a Druid with Carnival Clown in hand. Obviously, he couldn't have known for certain it was in his hand, but Clown is fairly popular in Druid decks, and it should have been a reasonably fair guess from seeing the deck up to this point in the game.
