One of my favorite personal Bible layouts is the ESV Heritage. There's a more affordable version of the Heritage (more affordable than the Heirloom Heritage) coming out Feb 2024. I also love the CSB personal Bible that you picked as your favorite, though I think I prefer the CSB compact Bible a bit more overall. Regardless those two would probably be my favorites. Love your reviews, hopefully you'll do a similar video of your favorite compact Bibles! :) Edit. I forgot to mention that Holman is slated to come out with a single column personal sized CSB (similar layout as the personal sized CSB in your video) in their Handcrafted Collection in March 2024. It will have red accents on chapters, verses, among other features.
Thanks for the 'show and tell'. (smile) It is good to have someone review these because I would not ever know all this. I really like how the single column looks. However I do agree with you in one of your other videos that the double column with the references in the middle is a classic go to. God bless you for sharing.
I'm with you on the Concord - it's great Bible. I just wish that Cambridge would publish the Concord in other translations besides the KJV. I also very much like the Cambridge Cameo for a personal size Bible. For a compact Bible, it has got to be the Cambridge Pitt Minion.
My two favorites would have to be the same CSB as you chose. I like it so much I got two. The other is the LSB Handy Size in goatskin. I have the 5 Solas version and the Burgundy version. I love the full yapp on them and the paper is incredible.
That Thomas Nelson NKJV has to be my favorite of the ones you shown. WOW, what a beautiful bible! I really wished catholics put more care in their bible making as protestants did.

I think the NIV study Bible has been the very best in studying Bibles. I use the nkjv but for the sake of balance and academic excellence, the NIV study Bible is a gem- God bless Kenneth Barker.
I'm Catholic and I'm using The Great Adventure Bible by Ascension Press (RSV2CE). I would love to find a compact bible in that translation but I don't think one exists.
I've got a leather ESV large print personal size (Crossway) that's become my going to church/ Bible study group Bible. It's a good compromise between the huge Bibles that are kinda heavy and the little ones that are hard to read.
I worked at a Christian bookstore over 30 years ago, where I bought the smallest Bible I own. If I recall it was marketed as World's Smallest Bible. Published by Thomas Nelson, it measures just 5 x 3.5 inches. Full KJV bible.
Love personal size Bibles in general and the TN Sovereign KJV in particular (that infamously tight gutter notwithstanding). It’s the Bible that made this former Cambridge-onlyist really sit up and take notice of what TN are doing with the KJV. No other publisher matches the Sovereign's quality at that price point. The benchmark “tweener”, to steal your categorisation.
At the moment, my favorite is the Schuyler Personal Size Canterbury Full Yapp. I have an Allan Brevier Clarendon 7C that’s out for delivery right now. Who knows? My favorite could change.
The PSQ is sized as a compact. I had it in the compact pile. I know it is called Personal Size but it’s the same size as every compact I have, virtually.
Still waiting for a CSB personal sized double column, 9.5 pt type. In the mean time, it's the CSB Restoration bible, double column 9.5 pt type. The foot print is a little bit bigger than personal size but it's not large at all.
The ESV Heritage looks awesome, I just wished Crossway had it in a cheaper cover as I would be all over it. I also like that CSB Personal Size layout as well. I was seriously thinking of trying to get one for myself, but I wanted to see how I would like the CSB as a translation first. Own things for sure is that there are many English translations of the Bible, it can be difficult to to choosing which one to call your own.
My favorite is the LSB 2 column VbV. Please show us your rebind when you get it. Also, what is the font size of the NJV? This was a great video. I wish it were a lot longer and in more detail. 😍
I mentioned the font size but it was a LOT OF CONTENT in a short period so it’s easy to miss. The NJV is a 9.5. Thanks for watching. And yeah, there are so many that do long videos I just decided short and sweet is my place in it all. God bless!

I bought the Saddle Leather CSB, since you’ve recommended it so highly. It’s incredible, and a dream to read!! The binding makes loud crackle sounds though, a minor issue. Is there anything I can do to fix it? Or is that just how it is?
