Our first day in Ho Chi Minh City started off rough, but we managed to get along with our day and see some pretty cool places and also taste some iconic Vietnamese Food! For the next couple days, we roam around searching for the Banh Mi and some delicious Pho!
We love sharing our food adventures along with exploring the iconic places in the city. Our first stop was the Pho So 1 Hanoi. Bernard and I were so excited to be finally try our first Pho in Ho Chi Minh City. They provided us with a container full of different veggies. We added some mint and some basil. Overall the noodles were pretty nice, but we have had much better before.
That evening, we went to Propoganda searching for our first Banh Mi, but unfortunately, they were not serving it anymore even though we researched the menu prior. As you can see, we weren’t very successful on our first day Saigon food excursion. Hopefully, our luck will be better tomorrow.
We were very happy to try our first Banh Mi and Banh Mi 362 really hit the spot! Though Bernard’s Chicken Banh Mi had some questionable items in there, Wedee loved it.
Our 2nd Pho 24 place was really nice! They offered a classic beef version as well as a chicken version for Bernard! On the side they provided veggies, bean sprouts, basil and chilis. This place was much better than our first place and we were very happy. Bernard was definitely enjoying is Pho this time. We also ordered their Fried Spring Rolls which were hot and crispy.
Pho #3 was probably our most favorite as the flavor was more authentic and the chicken was just perfect the way we liked it!
