I use Pixieset because I wanted everything in one spot. When I compared the prices for Pixieset vs website platform, digital gallery, and client management the prices were not even close. Also, they are adding new items all the time. I’m not trying to convince anyone on either one-just giving my two cents to try and help. Who knows-I haven’t compared in awhile-the prices might have changed drastically! 🥴 Either way, great video content as always! Thank you!

Yes! I wish she would have done more research vs seemingly learning it all while filming. Pixieset DOES allow you to put names to the icons in the gallery, and you can create sections/sub categories in each gallery (i.e.cake cutting, family formals, bridals etc). And your point with the pricing is a HUGE point that she just glossed over! How much does she pay for her show it website? and I know Honeybook is around $300 a year for a studio manager. So it is hugely more cost efficient to use Pixieset with everything all in 1 place, vs using 3 different companies with 3 separate payments for the galleries, studio manager and website. I'm a big fan of Pixieset if you can't tell. :)

This was SUPER helpful thank you so much Hope! I currently use Honeybooks and Zenfolio and was looking for a better way to deliver my client galleries and sell products/prints and I think CloudSpot is the way to go for me at least after watching this. Love the new feature of seeing artwork on your own wall too before purchasing. Clients are going to love it! Appreciate your time and love your videos. So helpful!!

Since this video was made you can select photos for the app gallery in pixieset from a current gallery so the doubling up storage is not an issue. Nice comparison video!

Great video! I noticed that the files you were uploading were just over 1 MB each. Was this for this exercise only, or is that the size you actually upload your digital files as?

Today I tried switching to CloudSpot however, on all my galleries that I uploaded (big and small) my thumbnails within “My photos” are not showing up. However, when I double click on the images it pulls up. Do you know how you fix this?

Can you edit a picture after purchase? As a rodeo photographer we take a ton of pictures of every rider but through my existing site I can edit their pictures after they purchase. Saves me a ton of time not editing thousands of photos. This is why I haven’t switched over because I like this option for my photography but there are other things I want that these other sites do.

Super helpful, so glad I came across this video! What size photos do you usually upload, sized for 8x10, or bigger? Or do you always ask the client what size they're looking to print? thanks!

Love this! I always learn something new about Cloudspot from your videos! However, I don't see the option of "Apply Preset" in my cloudspot. How do you create that? I have the pro version and not the unlimited so wondering if that is the reason.
@SybillT
@SybillT Год назад
I have the Lite version and I'm able to use Presets. What I do - Once I select everything I want under Cover, Layout, Download, Sales, Access, and Advanced, I then click "Create from Current Settings" under Presets on the Advanced tab. You give it a name, and then it is available to choose for future galleries on the General tab under Apply Presets.

I am a new CloudSpot user and I really like it but my uploads are sooooo slow. Is there a setting or something that you changed to get it to upload that fast? It may be my computer but I thought I'd ask.

Great video!!!!♥️ Would you ever be willing to talk about how to set up a Facebook business page to be successful? I’m currently trying to get my Facebook business page to say only “followers” but it says like and followers and just doesn’t look as great as if it just said followers since that’s what Facebook prioritizes. And Facebook doesn’t provide support very easily to ask them.
@HopeTaylor

Hi Michaela! Thanks so much for watching! At this point, I actually very rarely use my Facebook business page. Facebook is slowly "dying" compared to platforms like Instagram and TikTok. So, I just have my Instagram and FB linked - and any posts I share on Instagram automatically get pushed to Facebook. That's about the extent of what I use it for these days!

Do you typically edit all photos before uploading to the client gallery? Or do you use the gallery for them to choose their selected photos, then edit only those, and then reupload for them to purchase?
@HopeTaylor
@HopeTaylor 7 дней назад
I upload all images already fully edited! I prefer for my clients to see the final product vs. the unedited files!

I'm curious. Why would you have a "download" button available? If people can download images without purchasing, they have no motivation to ever buy anything. What am I missing here? Additionally, why would you have something like this instead of in person sales, isn't that a more effective way of presenting and selling? Just trying to get a handle on the process. I've shared images before in an online gallery and only sold one image, a 5x7 and most people either downloaded free images or just looked and didn't purchase or download. When I do in person sales, I average about $1200-$1500 per viewing. How do you create income with just online sales or do you perform both? Thanks! :)
@HopeTaylor
@HopeTaylor Год назад
Great question, Todd! In my opinion, this really boils down to personal preference. I charge a much more expensive fee up front (~$1500) and include the digital files in that package. Then, I incentivize the purchase of prints and products with a limited time coupon code after the shoot - these are automatically fulfilled through my online gallery with CloudSpot. I honestly just prefer this workflow, as I don't enjoy the in-person sales process. I also would prefer my clients share their digital files on social media, as this is my number one way of getting new bookings!
