That's a paya in english... great. Sorry my english, but you loss de better views of Ojos del Caburgua... you need cross the river or enter for the other side of the river... and, in the Caburgua lake, you arrived to the Playa Negra (black beach), but the next beach is Playa Blanca (white beach) the most beautiful ... has a white sand and you can see trees down the water... the most beautiful beach and lake at zone is Coñaripe, in the Calafquen lake, and Calafquen beach... and the little beach of Licanray... jajaja... sorry, but all is beautiful in the south of Chile ... Chao pescao !!!..
You couldn't chose a better time to go! September and March are the best months to go to Pucón. July and February makes that city the most crowded place ever. Hope you had a good time in there. Have a nice day!
Jon Gross After visiting el ecoparque, you can take some detours along the way and venture into the woods I mentioned, I used to go there a lot with my dad when I was a kid, there are rivers and great and beautiful plains!
Saludos.
I love that part of Chile. My daughter-in-law's parents live about 15 minutes from Villarica and it's all beautiful country. You didn't mention that Volcan Villarica is active. Always smokes.
Great job Jon!
Hey Jon, i'm retired Marines with wife and two kids living in Mexico. Question is, have you visited Mexico and if so, are the prices comparable to Mexico. If not compared to US prices, would you say cheap, expensive? Cheers Man
You missed A LOT of cool places in Pucón... next time there go to “Salto la China” or “Salto el Leon” or go hiking to the volcano... Pucón is pretty awesome! Nice video btw
Yes!! Literally my favorite things to do! Haven't been to "Los ojos" though, but I love visiting places like that! I actually dived in Caburgua once love it! Ahh Volcan villarica, where I rolled down my first time skiing. Trawen is awesome!! I usually eat waffles there! Cassis is my favorite place by far. Glad you enjoyed it
gREAT! video! I live in Villarrica. Ojos del caburgua are actually an underground river that comes from caburgua lake. If you think about it, there is no river upstream the waterfall. :D. I like your videos! I might use them in my english classes.
The sad part about Caburgua its that all that "desert-like" parking lot/beach near the lake, used to be part of it a few years ago. The lake has been constantly drying during the past decade, most probably due to global warming. Locals even say that the lake won't even exist anymore in 15 or 20 years from now.
Jon Gross My family and I had a chance to be in Hopkinsville Ky. On August 21st of this year to see the Great American Eclipse. Let me tell you, it was a fascinating experience. One you won't want to miss. I've been to Pucon in the past. I can't wait to go back.
The 3rd deck oh how cool!!!! Yes I would love to see the eclipse again in my lifetime. It's on the list of things to get done before I die for sure! :)
Can you go next time to pomaire god empanadas and pastel de choklo is a litle town and as a tips is a god restaurant in sgt el name chilenaso. Parrilladas god wine
Nice "paya" at the end, but I do recommend to put the right accents on the vowels, since their accentuated pronunciation gives the paya (verse) to rhyme (for instance, empaná: contraction for empanada).
Jajaja arboles de terror de pelicula de disney... esos arboles tan terrorificos en realidad son arboles de manzanas! Los ojos! De caburga no caburgua... el sur de chile es muy bello... no olvide visitar Valdivia. Saludos
Abeautiful place but definitely snobby and expensive. Lots of expats who act like they own the place. Go there anyway, just explore the outdoors and bail on the Vail/Aspen town scene.
