I'm a Gringo, but my life is the perfect combination of two different cultures. The first part is made of twenty-eight years living in the United States, while in the second part I've been living in Latin America for over 10 years now. I'm in love with these two worlds to the point where from a burger to an empanada I'm equally happy. And although it might sound strange to some, there can be similarities between these places, and I love sharing them in fun and interesting ways.

This is ridiculous!!! You are comparing a country (USA) to a continent!!! Is like comparing Brazil to Europe!!! The $1000 cost of living is a joke. The cost of living of Latin American Countries varies SO much that it is imposible to calculate a median. If you want to compare Chile to the US it is totally fine but please don't compare an entire continent to the US. I am Latina and I have been living in the States for 20 years. I love América and I love my country of origin and I must say that throwing all of the Latin American countries' diverse culture into a blender for the sake of a video is insulting.
Another fantastic video. I'm so glad we found you on RU-vid. We visited Ecuador in February, and were amazed with the culture and beauty. We loved it and plan to return permanently. Thank you for sharing your experiences.
Absolutely! We moved to Chile in order to help the local church and teach in the public school. We got way more out of it than that but our original intention was just those two things!
Cada pais tiene lo suyo, pero Argentina tiene una variedad de paisajes unica, tienes todos los climas y paisajes.... Y la comida y cultura no la cambio por nada. Y Buenos Aires es una de las ciudades más lindas del mundo
Howdy 🤠 You got me thinking to move from northern hemisphere.. you mentioned the food the culture.. for an old timer… empty nests síndrome.. how bout health insurance ? How that work for citizens and non citizens? Your boy had grown up!!! I’d follow you since he was born in Linares.. you’d travel around town in a motorized skateboard! 😂👏👏👍
Hello Jon! great video! Do you know if they lend or rent binoculars or spotting scopes for bird watching? Also, what does the word "Mindo" mean? I'm curious about these kinds of things. Say hi to Moses and Elise. God bless you Jon.
Amazing video! I loved it, especially because I am a nature nut and a birder, right now I have hummingbirds and other birds in my backyard, and a house wren nesting in a little house I have for them. I also raise monarch butterflies, they are so beautiful. Thank you for all the good tips and awesome views! I liked that you separated your topics and gave out excellent tips when visiting Mindo.👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
YES!!! After we went to Mindo we purchased several bird houses and now have our backyard filled with hummingbirds and other birds. It really puts a smile on my face!
Great question... we never could get it... You will need to contact the chilean embassy where you are first and gather everything you need before you go. We had to get our graduations from university papers apostiled, background checks apostled and much more. I'd contact the Chilean embassy because we did this almost ten years ago now in Chile :)
Hi, you are in the right place at the right time. I will be there in October 2024 and finish life in Chile. I have lived in Chile 25 years and USA right now is a disaster in waiting for the right time to get worse. I took my wife to hospital and with insurance got a $100,000 bill. The work the hospital claims did is to me 80% questionable. I see both medicare and SSI going out of business in a few more years. All of which will impact 25% of the population immediately.
