TIP: If you want to go clear the elite four with a lvl70-ish Lunala, I'd recommend teaching it thunderbolt (in addition to psychic and moongeist) and carrying choice specs. Choice specs help a lot since you generally won't need to switch up your moves, since each elite four member is generally weak to 1 move. You may also need 1 leppa berry or ether per run, to restore PP for moongeist beam. For Hala: Choice specs psychic 1 hits all 5 of his pokemon For Olivia: Choice specs moongeist will 1 hit all of her pokemon except probopass, which may take 2 hits. Moongeist is the ideal move for olivia since it 1hits the sturdy golem. For Acerola: Choice specs moongeist 1hits everything For Kahili: Choice specs thunderbolt 1hits everything except her sturdy skarmory This is assuming you EV train lunala at lvl70 to max speed and special attack. After Lunala gets to lvl80ish, you can get rid of the choice specs.

HP number is independent of Xp value, and higher level pokes earn less XP.

No waifu no Laifu Defeating pokes with a higher Base Xp gices higher Xp. Its just that gamefreak USUALLY gives high HP pokes high base Xp values, though a chansey is worth less Xp than an audino.

I believe you can find or SOS Chansey from Touros and it'll have a 5% chance to hold a Lucky egg. I was just looking at the ORAS held items table (Chansey/Happiny ave 5% to hold lucky egg) and is SOS-able from Touros on some route, so I might be wrong. You also cant trade from a previous generation just yet as Pokebank isn't out.

Happiny and Chansey don't have a chance to be holding a lucky egg anymore. I spent 10 hours chaining Bonsly to get a lucky egg from Happiny. I ended up with 27 oval stones and 0 lucky eggs before I checked Serebii which says that it can only have an oval stone.

There does not seem to be anyone around Alola who is the "Ice" type trainer. Could Mount Lanakila be the location of the ice trial when the type had a captain? Because it was not being used, possibly for a long time, it was decided to be used for the home of the Elite Four?

I just grind the wild pokemon on the route outside the Battle Tree. Send in the pokemon you want to level up while holding a lucky egg and +2 affection, then swap it out for a high level mon and take out the pokemon. The wild mons on this route range from around level 55-59 i believe.

I feel like the best strategy would be, if starting from an Egg, do elite four runs until the pokemon are in the 60's range, then alternate festival plaza and pokepelago for the set of levels.

Hey, not sure if you've been told before, but you should take a look at Wishiwashi. In it's school form it has an insane 620 total stat points. Almost as much defenses as Toxapex, but with double the attack stats.

My Greninja is lv 100 so now I just put every other Pokémon that I want to evolve in the party on the first slot and then change them with Greninja so they get the highest possible XP and then sweep everyone, that's just my way to do it and I have completed the Pokédex of just doing this but thanks for explaining it better and keep up with the great content!

Hey during my game play after most battles I continuously pet and feed my Pokemon and they all have full affection and slowly draining enjoyment for me.. they also seem to dodge attacks and hit more criticals for me because they have that full affection... Just my theory not sure if it the affection maxed out matters or not but might be worth a shot

the elite four isn't the fastest method of experience, the fastest is right by the battle tree fighting wild pokemon as they are easy and convenient, u don't get money but it's faster for exp

Not sure what the rates are, but if you have a fire/flying/dark/dragon type Pokemon, then I recommend going to executor island to train. It works wonders for me and it's guaranteed to get only execute or executor.

guys i have another method of leveling up very fast. in the poni gauntlet all you have to do is sos chain bewears, dont use false swipes for it tends to use double edge and kill itself, just chain sos battles with bewears and you can earn more experience points. well other pokemon in the pni gauntlet also give great amount of exp yet bewear is the highest exp rate. usually most of the pokemon with high HP give the most exp.

Terragg 20 I run a tapu koko a Mudsdale with soft sand and an Ash greninja with mystic water and dominate the elite four but be prepared with many revives and full restores because it takes a couple of times before u start sweeping the elite four

the challenger has the shortest cut scene actually. each elite four member has 3 cutscenes: entering their room, unlocking the exit, and after exiting.

I don't know I go to the battle tree area in the grass and one hit kill everything there they drop 1200-1300 a pop and you don't have to wast potions or other items to fight. Also running toward that way from Poni meadow breaking the rocks then you get stuff to gain coin as well.

What about SOS chaining Hariyama for exp? its not a trainer battle, and its only 54-57 in poni plains but at least theres no cutscenes. Get a Ghost type and you basically block any of its attacks.

Blue Essence Dusk Balls are effective in the dark, so i would assume if its night in the game they are effective.

Pokemon refresh, give it a lucky egg and then Chaney S.O.S chain on Poni Island. The grassy field under the battle tree has a bush that spawns Chansey. It is the only spot in the game where this happens. Bam. 5-7k xp per knockout.

Hey, I just want to make a note. When Chaining Riolu you encounter a lot of Chanceys, which give between 3-4k exp when its boosted from my experience. It is easy, Put a ghost pokemon out first, profit? I think the encounter rate for chancey would be around 20, anyway, its just a level 50ish pokemon that gives massive exp.

Necrozma is, in my experience, the absolute best Pokémon to use to grind the elite four for sun and moon- if you have a beneficial sp atk nature that doesnt decrease one of your defences as well as a heart scale to relearn power gem and the tms for flash cannon and dark pulse- plus its signature move that u catch it with- it can take on each elite four member's signiture type super effectively and one shot all of their Pokémon by lvl 85 (with corresponding z-move assistance for certain team members) also useful is its ability, which weakens any super effective attacks a certain ghost type trainer might throw necrozma's way

Here's another idea. After beating the game, go to the area outside the battle tree and fish for a dratini. After that, enter a S.O.S. Chain with it. Pokemon near the battle tree are around level 60-ish, and Dragonite will drop a whopping 16k exp, minimum. Just make sure that you have a pokemon that can wall dratini completely and you're set.

In X I used to use a lucky egg and exp O power 3 and grind on the Audino in the Battle Chateau - I would get roughly 30000 exp per KO. It's a real shame Game Freak didn't incorporate anything like this into Sun and Moon.

You are better off battling wild Pokémon on poni island. Especially chaining against harriyama with a lucky egg. In the poni Plains he gives I think over 2000xp without lucky egg. plus the fact you don't need all the cut scenes it works out way quicker

Rare Kitchen 3+ in Festival is an option for high level xp. The best meals give 7 or 9 levels up to lvl 89. Do NOT use them for lower levels, pokemon do not learn moves from rare kitchen.

I just SOS chain chanseys for a solid hour and each chansey gives about 3000Exp and when you get a blissey it's about 5000Exp

kukui isn't appearing for me for the lucky egg, ive done more than the first trial and i have 108 Pokemon caught and 118 seen.. i cant find him..

Lucas Roberts thats not true becuase theres a video that says if you beat the first trial kahuna then have 10% pokemon caught then go to the lab you will get it. i had to start my game over because i beat the elite four on there and i didn get it and i had over 113 pokemon caught
