Verlisify in one of your videos you said that the the ability to change and a Pokémon's I.V's (it may have been called super training) was useless because they don't transfer to breeding but couldn't it be incredibly useful in legendary Pokémon as they can not be breed? I haven't gotten into thinking about the competitive side of Pokémon before so please correct me if I am wrong

EVs are the stat points you can distribute with drugs and training. IVs are the statpoints that are random and cannot be distributed how you want. So people try to breed for IVs to get the best possible pokemon. Example you have a Charizard with 254 EV points into ini but only 15 EV points and you enemy has a Charizard with 254 EV points and 31 EVs (a perfect stat) he will outspeed you and probably win the battle due to having the better Pokemon. Hope my english was ok and made you understand it a lil more.

Atheas Of course it does. Destiny know is only available through 48 BP or with a small chance via Pick Up. Macho Brace isn't in the game and you need 96 BP for all power items. So, at what point doesn't make my statement any sense?

well this isn't exclusive to this game. Any MMO is grindy and they want you to play fair. The only difference is pokemon has weaker hack protection/detection and punishment. Plus some people like the grind. I do for one

Vivid Abstract when i get to the point in the game where im ready to breed seriously, im going to use a Alakazam for trick (also has synchronise for nature) and munchlax for recycle. Also worth having is a pokemon with lots of damaging moves to a normal type and a false swiper

I have been trying to figure out the same thing. My hope is that when the PokeBank opens in January, there will be an update for it that will allow us to transfer items to Sun and Moon. Or, at the very least, allow us to transfer the mega stones over that are not currently in the game. However, knowing Game Freak, that most likely won't be the case and we will be out of luck :(

Just recently found out that while most items wills be untradeable through bank, bank will let you trade mega stones. Just a heads up for people who are still unsure.

Shouldn't be easy? Moving the analog in circles for a while doesn't make it hard, just absolutely frustrating and boring. If the method shown in the video is a way of replacing a game mechanic that took longer but was fun, then you could make the point that you are supposed to hatch them by playing the game for fun. However, all it replaces is doing the same thing but in a different area. So the entire game mechanic of hatching eggs is boring, especially if your aim is to make a competitive team. Once you finish the story, you have no purpose of traversing the map on foot so you are expected to hatch them through means like this. While the loops were not fun, it at least made it less of a hassle. I regret getting the game from the 3DS store, because getting a physical copy would let me cheat. Fed up with this shit.

Lord Chop I don't want to cheat, but I also don't want to waste my life playing one of the most tedious aspects of any game I've played in decades. You can't deny that GF doing shit like this actually encourages cheating, whereas they could soften the grind by including a loop or an alternative method to speed up the process. Ryan S Ugh, for years people have been crying and crying that the game's "too easy" and now when they make certain parts harder people are upset it's too hard???? It's mostly older teens and adults that complain the game's too easy, and they're also the ones who mostly do competitive. GF needed to keep the main story relatively easy because, you know, little kids still play Pokemon and Pokemon is suppose to be a family game. So what did they make harder??? Oh!! Something that usually only competitive/older players do! This is literally what people have been asking for. Difficulty. It's just not what y'all expected because the normal game play still has gotta be fun for all ages.

My way of looking at it is, if this is true, about offspring of hacked dittos being illegal, then they should have put up a check in the GTS to prevent them from changing hands, because it would be pretty unfair to disqualify someone who didn't know that the poke they got in-game via GTS somehow made all their further efforts null. Also what if it wasn't an obvious hack? Like not lv.100 not shiny and say 5IV but still hacked, how the heck would anyone know? Then get basically punished down the road when they do everything legit themselves only to get their poke shot down trying to bring it to tournament. All a 6IV does is save some time. If anyone wants to fault someone for trying to save some time then point the finger at anyone who trades for a high IV anything without catching it themselves. Seems like the only problem anyone would have would be receiving a hacked ditto to breed with, so if that was blocked from trading then everyone could use the GTS without worrying about everything they did breeding getting messed up. Really I don't think they can call bred pokémon illegal, because you're right, GTS is for everyone, and while I hope I haven't used anything that was hacked for breeding stock, it isn't just dittos with 6IV people would have to worry about, since I don't even know how many near perfect IV pokes I've sent over wonder trade to make things easier for people and free up my box space. Just thinking about how often that happens makes me think of how crazy it would be if all those, from everyone who might have bred at some point with an illegal poke passed on illegal status. It would be like an undetectable Pokévirus that nobody wants. :p

+Nathalie Mykløy Except Pokémon bred from injected parents are absolutely indiscernible from Pokémon bred from "legitimate" parents (with the exception of passing currently unobtainable moves/abilities or impossible pokéballs) even by TPC. Yes, The Pokémon Company made that claim, but they couldn't actually discern a pokémon bred from an injected parent or otherwise (with the exception of what was pointed out above); they know that too, and it doesn't matter. You realise that the pokémon bred from an injected ditto is still a pokémon generated by the coding of the game; they don't inherit "legitimacy". A hacked ditto as a parent is 100% undetectable in the off-spring. As long as they don't have impossible moves/abilities and aren't contained within an impossible ball, then any Pokémon bred through injected parents will pass all manual and automatic hack checks; they are Pokémon generated by the game after all, with no regard for the parent.

CryNathan If a kid doesn't understand or hack for competitive reasons then it unlikely they're giving a Pokémon perfect iv and correct EVs, natures, ablities, and/or moves so it should make your team pointless. If a kid does everying thing correctly then it can. I'm not saying cheating is right in anyway and it worse if a kid is taught its ok so the should know it's "wrong". But in the case of a kid the blame falls on the hack creator a bit more then the kid.

CryNathan Well, no. First, masuda method. Yes, it's done to have more trade or anything like that. But considering Masuda method is also suppose to help you get shinies (Masuda Method would give you something else if it wasn't about have more shinies) it's stupid. How can you know if what you get is a legal one if it comes from GTS ? I've used pokemons I got from wonder trade to use masuda method, done by people breeding. So there are too possibilities, the parent check is retarded or masuda method isn't done to get strat pokemons. Then comes the part with the dev. No, the devs don't want shinies and perfect strat pokemon more valuable considering everything done to make it easier in the past games. All you strat pokemons have absolutly no value considering and you are probably a shame for every pre 5G breeders. And what make your "Hard work = High reward" ridiculous is the hyper training. I will be easier to have a strat shiny using just a pokemon the good nature/move/ability and then get what you need for the hyper training. And considering it'll be easy to generate the hyper training items and impossible to find out the pokemons were hyper trained with generated items. So no, it's not about hard work and things like that's, it's about having less hackers, but it's a fight pokemon won't win. So no, people like me are not devaluating pokemons that are both strat and shiny, THe pokemon Company did that, and now does choices that make no sens considering what they have done in the past. You were not clear about Masuda method, so I'd like to know you superior point of view more in detail. Yup. It's random when both pokemon are the same. I bred two Eevees, and I've gotten both types of poké balls passed down. Randomized, not related to the gender of the baby (i.e. female babies didn't always get mom's ball).

It's likely it was hacked, but it's not impossible that it was obtained legally. If you're able to upload it to Pokebank, then the game considers it legal. Hacked Pokémon are only "bad" if they have moves, stats or abilities they can't normally have. A popular hack in X was creating Mega Evolved Pokémon that didn't have mega stones.

If it got through Wondertrade it passed the legality check. The trader probably cloned it from a legal Charizard. However the legality check only checks for illegal moves, abilities and too many EVs. Shininess and perfect IV can still be hacked on and since it is theoretically possible to encounter such a mon it will fail no online check. So despite what was said in the video in XY and ORAS it was perfectly possible to use hacked mons and I can't imagine that it will be different in Sun/Moon because it's impossible identify a hacked mon as such if it can be legally encountered/trained/breed as it is.

Bingogogo721 With game sync, the game or whatever powers that be could check the origin of a Pokémon, and mark it as illegal if it hits or doesn't hit certain criteria. Also, it can theoretically cross check between trainers to check for multiple instances of a potentially duplicated Pokémon and mark them as illegal. Then they can require game sync for competitive battling. I'm no coding expert, but I know there's a lot of ways to check for legitimacy.

to answer your question each pokemon does have a info on it's origin point but this can be faked so the only real way to find out is only available to devs who can check the full trainder id number to see who "caught" the pokemon and then check his system to see if the anti-thirdparty code has been breached or if the system has a ram editor installed (like game shark) if he was REALLY prepared tho he could fake that too bye uninstalling his shit and "recreating" the steps but i don't think anyone would do that to get away with hacking a pokemon
