Hello Peeps,
After long time, I went out to try Nepalese & Tibetan Cuisine at Lha Kitchen, South Delhi. The place seemed nice & clean. I was happy to see the authenticity of the restaurant. I ordered for their famous Pork Momos, Shakan Datsi & Nepalese Thali. I went crazy with the food as I came with less expectations. The staff was really good & polite. Prices are pocket friend but the taste blew my mind. I will for sure suggest not to miss on Shakam Datsi (Must Try)
I felt happy with the overall experience.

As a Tibetan who was born and bought up in India with time split between north and south and also spent some time in Nepal in formative years and now living in USA, I have learnt to appreciate how each countries has of own unique variation on same dishes. Momos for example as we call it can take different shapes and taste as one move from country to country. Indians has also come up with innovations of chatpata momos like kurekure momos and tandoori momos. Nepalese serves with momo on chutney and that is also adds to the variation. Xialongbao from Shanghai and Gyoza from Japan also distinct from what we Tibetans are used to momo. So no point in fighting over which is authentic or not and just enjoy the diversity of taste. Life is already complicated and no point in making it more complex.

i agree with u but just for the sake of fusion u cannot totally change the identity of a dish like a tandoori momo what is the need? who asked for it? as a darjeelingay where cuisine is mostly inspired by tibetan dishes and nepalese cuisine i take immense pride in our food and i am rather left offnded when i see such thing as tandoori momo or kurkure momo. what even is that? and oh there is a special place reserved in hell for ppl who dip their momos in mayonaise. god

Though I am a Delhiite and not a north eastern I still have undying love for NE Food and Nepalese Food since I visited Sikkim ! You will go mad with every bite of authentic local food . Vegetarian is sooo soo tasty ! Food culture and people are the best here ♥️

I am sure! I honestly didn't expect thr food to be this good! But after a couple of experiences... I thoroughly enjoyed the authenticity and thr love for Pork... ! I am gona travel NE to get involved much deeper in the culture! Waiting for Covid to settle..

I dont know why people have the misconception that Nepalese, Tibet and bhutanese food are same. Like some foods are similar obviously like its same in both india and Nepal as well but most of the foods are different . Its very specific

Momo is tibetan Food. Nepal upgraded it. Like Nepal put their Momos powder the powder is also made in Nepal. They don't put too much white fat thing of meat. Thats the difference.

This place is super awesome. Food is brilliant and the time when this guy was making this video I was sitting just opposite to him . At that time I was not known to his RU-vid channel but know I can relate . Anyways the main thing is the food which is super good and awesome 👏🏻

You guys will be suck when vegetarians will know the national food of NE ..!!... Try once guys it’s pure organic once you will try your life will be extend for more 1 yr 😊. For vegi:-Sisno ko saag(Stinging nettle),gundruk ko jhol ,chop(a type of pickle) Masi chamal ko bhat(type of rice) NE Himalayan sheep ghee with Nepali salad .🤤 😋 mouth watering guys

In datshi the 't' is silent it is pronounced as "DASHI" which means cheese! it's a Bhutanese dish / hope you enjoyed... keep eating:)

Shyaa kaam means dry meat and datshi is cheese 🧀 well I'am not Bhutanese but I grew up in such environment and Nepalese thali isn't quite complete I must say there should be an option of dhido and many more l!!!!
