Its like giving someone *SEPARATELY* to taste - burger patty, bun, cheese slice, mayo, veggies, sauce etc ... and telling them - *"This is American food called hamburger"* 'Nepali thali' is a set, the individual items in it is meant to compliment/balance each other. Its kind of like you create your every bite/morsel by mixing different items to your taste/texture preference. Every bite can be different. PS: That bearded dood is in 'Chill mode' ... 'nomsaying?

You gotta watch till end. It’s a simple to understand some time we are eating separately even not only with rice we eat all this items with others dishes also. If you watch till rend you will see they are eating all together and also using their hand even they don’t know well to use their hand. You should appreciate for this video. Watch after 14:02

+Umesh Ale Yes i did watch the full video. What i am saying is their approach of introduction kinda felt like - hard to reach itch. Almost there ... but not itching the right spot. They went with the approach of *'Parts to whole'* rather than *'Whole to parts.'* Just personal opinion tho.

Dal bhat and curry with pickle is the simplest wholesome Nepali food which most of us devour every day. We can choose verity of curries each at a time and pulses as well. We can replace the pulses with chickpeas,gram,beans or kidney beans soup and other variety of such items. Pickles can also be varied. Such as mint leaves pickle,soybeans pickle,green mango pickle. Coriander leaves pickle, lemon pickle,radish pickle. One can add salad also in everyday meals.

Had a white guy live with me for 8 months. By the time he moved out, he was perfect in cooking Nepali food and was eating Nepalese style. Even had interest for spices and utensils.

Hello, Im Nepali thank you lot so much for make this video! In Nepal my favourite food is dhal bhat masu. Which is rice and chicken and a soup which you can buy from shop. Also I like chatpate which is made with onion potato coriander tamato and more. I also like tama. Bamboo shoots
