Thank you Frank for your awesome comment and I try to make it the best as possible for my cruising and fishing liveaboard soon I will show you new videos when I go to the Bahamas I think you and I like them👍👍⚓
Anytime captain and yes we all have the same problem because we try to pack our vows with very essential stuff but yes in the future if you can change to lithium a lot of your batteries you will see a huge different captain and thank you for watching👍⚓
Ok, so you are making me jealous again! lol. Nice job and great to see this type of upgrade. I will be very eager to see how these perform for you. In my case, I have not yet gone for the 96" Rhodan that I want which will take 3 AGM batteries if I want to keep the expense down. However, 3 AGM Group 31's weigh total of 202lbs. Cost is $600. If I go to the Lithiums, it would be $1500 but at a weight advantage of 70lbs. In my case, my boat being a wide beam 25' Grady can handle the 70lbs. However, over time, I think once the Lithiums come down in price, that is the way to go for sure. I have 2 AGM Duracells for house batteries now going on 7 years and still pass the Carbon Pile load test, so they are still as strong as they were the day I got them. For your case, the weight is a great advantage for you for sure! But if I can shave off weight here and there, it does help! Keep the videos coming and can't wait to see the results what you experience in comparison.....
Thank you Robert really appreciate your advice and you are right the price will come down a lot with time and my case this batteries were $800 about a year ago and I was able to find them for $500 so that is about a 30 to 35% off in one year. Wait one or two years and you going to see that price drop to $1100
I recommend the Renogy battery monitor for those. Its a very accurate monitor thats fairly cheap. You can see it in action on my channel with the lithiums on my golf cart. And its fairly cheap at less than $100. You are going to love those batteries.
Nice to see this upgrade Cap, literally worth its weight in gold. I made same upgrade a couple years back and asked if you were considering it before I jumped. No regrets, used same brand batteries as yours. The latest is I just bought a lithium Ionic starter and a cheap lith house battery. According to Ionics its plug and play to replace AGM, not sure though re: alternator charging lith battery without a dc to dc charger. Hope to see you make that switch too and share it, perhaps I can let you know how mine works out after install. Thanks
hello captain and yes please do let me know how it works for you, that is something i will like to do in the future because i have 2 starting batteries , hope it works out for you cap.👍⚓
Great will do, also made mine blue tooth with $40 Victron bat monitor. Saw it on The Bass Hunter you tube channel at ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-D0wWJQri52E.html Thanks for response, take care
My friend great installation as usual, I’m so proud of you, I’m in the process to buy a 2021 Parker 2320, I can wait to start doing almost all your upgrades, if you don’t mind I’m going to ask you a few question ones I have my if you don’t mine, thank you and be safe
Hola.
LOL Bob dies but I took about a hundred and forty pounds off this heavy batteries total from the fridge in the Minn Kota so now the boat is going to increase about a hundred RPMs more so it's going to work better now👍
Only you capt .Real boat owner bring the Moment like we are there with you .watch you from back..saw your DIY...like the placement of Battery and so Powerfull...but so sad no closing without cofffee
Also Did you get 50AH or 100AH. Motor pulls 52AH I believe so at 100 X 3=300 divided by 52 is about 6 hours of run time. Is that what you get? Thanks for all your help for doing some weird (lol) things to my boat. Love your videos and all I need is to ditch my Center Console and get a Parker. At 76 yrs old it’s time!
If you get a pilot house just make sure that it's not crooked like mine and yes you're right with the old batteries I was getting about six to seven hours of use but with Elysium I haven't tried them yet but I'm sure that can get between seven to eight hours of use
Hey man first off I enjoy your videos very much. I’m looking to upgrade my 17ft center console to either a larger 23’ or a pilot house like you have. Seems like it would be better for my kids but I feel like I’m the pilot house you can’t see as well as you can with a center console? And can you do a video on the cost of a trip to the Bahamas I really want to make the run thank you!
Awesome Captain thank you so much for watching my channel and if you think about getting a pilothouse remember that they're very hot and if you don't have air conditioner you will suffer a lot from the Heat that's why they sell pilot houses up north where it's cold. And the cost of Bimini trips it depends if you stay in a hotel or in your boat in my case I stay on my boat and it causes me close to 500 to $600
@@OutOnTheReef yeah I would put in a ac system for sure but as for being able to see real well has it been difficult to learn to drive the pilot house coming from your center console?
Thanks again for the video. Very informative. I have an off topic question : I’ve seen in a past video that you have a nice cover for your boat. I recently purchased a similar boat with a pilot house (23’ Steiger Miami) was wondering where you got that cover?
Congratulations captain that is an awesome boat and and I placed the link in the swishing below of this video so you can see the one I bought I think will fit yours perfectly check it out. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-7jCSUAEWApE.html

@@OutOnTheReef least I could do. You put out a lot of content and it really helps a lot of people. These days every little bit helps. Keep up the great work. Be safe out there.
Thank you Captain and yes I am thinking more like an hour to an hour and a half you're right that's awesome extra run time for fishing days the longevity of the batteries are incredible thank you for watching captain
Did you connect all the 3 charger positive cables to the 36v positive side at once? If yes that would help me a lot. Now every time i charge the batteries i disconnect all the 36v connectors and charge the 3 (12v) banks separate.
How are you liking the chin batteries since you have had a changes to use them now Just wondering because I'm getting ready to pull the trigger on the same battery for my new boat that I take delivery of in October Thanks
i love them cap and the price has gone down a lot and if yoy do get the any battery you decide if you used my link i will be given a commission and it really help my channel cap, thanks and hope everything goes well with your boat delivery⚓👍
Nice. Did you replace the engine start battery with lithium too? I knew you did the ones that ran the fridge but it seemed like you had a wet cell battery in the rear starboard compartment.
No Captain the engine batteries I have not changed him to lithium because they're so expensive they're like $800 each But once they become more affordable definitely I will change them and thank you for watching
Captain, you are much braver than I am. You explained it well. I was advised by my Minn Kota installer that I would only need one lithium battery to replace my 3 AGM batteries. Now, I’m really confused.
Well captain there's several systems there is a 1 battery 12 V system there is a 24 volts two battery system And there is a 36 bolt 3 battery system like the one I have each battery has 12 V bolts pairing together you get 24 Volts or if you have 3 is 36 balls system Like the system I have in this video captain hope this helps
happy to find this video looking for a lithium setup for my 32v Minn Kota.. Watched a few of your beautiful pilothouse videos in the past. Wondering, what has your experience been with these CHIN batteries so far?
Awesome batteries im very happy with the performance cap and they are very light and if you would like to support this videos please hit my Amazon link and they will give my channel a commission that really help me make more videos like this And thanks for watching my channel If you have any other questions Don't hesitate to ask👍⚓️🛥
@@matthewdickson2627 Hope you get the best one for your money and be careful if you're looking at the brand I use because they do come defected from factory
I can afford a bigger boat so i have to make this one work for me li a yacht lol. Plus the bigger the boat the more problems cap. Thanks for your great question 👍
Cool buddy usually wen it ships i will see the commission and i will know it can from you cap. Thanks so much and if i can help you just let me know cap😉👍
Another great video! I clicked the link to the batteries but there’s multiple 12 volt AH batteries to choose from. What size AH did you go with? Was it the 100AH? Or the 200AH? There’s a huge price difference between the two.
Hey Captain, Now that it’s been a few months can you tell me how you like the lithium batteries on your Terrova? I’m considering selling my Ulterra and getting your exact setup. Any issues or things you wish you had done different? Thanks.
Hello captain and yes this Litium batteries are awesome And the price has gone down a lot so they're now more affordable right nowAnd check out the link and description below so you can see the charger that I use is an awesome charger
Are you concerned about the stability of the cells in the lthium batterys if left dormant? My brother runs down his lithium batterys when he is away on work trips
Glen that charger will maintain the batteries to keep full charge all the time. I have a old guest charger on my house and starting battery and I have a noco Charger maintaining by gator gill dive system battery works great keeps them charge if you need a charger make sure it will automatically maintain your battery JT 🇺🇸🇺🇸🐟🐠🎣🛥🌴⛱🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Well I will have the charger maintaining the lithium all the time on when I'm at the house can I use my boat monthly so I wouldn't think I will have a problem I think more if you leave them for 6 months and on without using them but thanks for the awesome tip captain
@@hookednrolling2009 yes I agree with you a hundred percent captain that is what I told Glenn that this battery maintainers really keep the batteries healthy
Hello, thanks for the video! I ordered the minn kota ulterra 112 lb 36v 72” shaft and planned on getting these batteries after seeing your video. Minn kota states their 112 lb motor has a max draw of 52 amp. These lithium batteries states that their max amp output is 50 amp. Have you noticed any performance or operating issues with your trolling motor? Thank you!
congrats cap. you will love your unit and i have no problems with my batteries and they last longer then wet cells and they are lighter and remember if you want to support this channel wen you go to amazon to buy your Batteries please use my link and amazon will give me a Commission to keep making videos like this cap. thanks for your support if you remember 👍😉⚓
@twinrockk2860 you are awesome cap. Amazon will give me a commission and that really helps my channel out and if i can help in any way just ask cap. Thanks for your support cap
@twinrockk2860 goodmorning cap. I got the commission for the batteries and charger and probably some other things for the system , amazon gave me Over $55 in commission, i just wanted to share that with you, thanks so much cap.👍⚓️🎣
No captain lydium are not made for starting lydium are just for house batteries I have cranking batteries for the engine the lithium Don't have cranking power
That is another option but since I have the engine off at night at Anchorage and the generator is running the AC I take advantage of that to charge the batteries
No you can not charge lithium battery’s with a motor alternator. The battery has so low internal resistance it will take all the power the alternator can supply and cause it to overheat and burn out. You can do it but it requires a D/C to D/C charger connected to the alternator. There are other ways as well but all require other equipment.
Awesome upgrade. I definitely need to upgrade my trolling motor batteries and get the same charger as well. How do you like the batteries you purchased so far? Are they holding up ? 🎣🥳
They are holding awesome cap. They last in my experience 20%longer then wet cells and i reduce my boat weight about 100 lbs with is more fuel economy for me cap. And if you would like to supporty channel so i can make more videos if you please use my link in the description below to purchase your batteries or chanrger Amazon will give me a commission witch ir really helps cap. If i. An help in any way let me know cap. Navigate safe⚓👍👨✈️
Thank you for watching and it's a much better battery I have never run this battery down to 0 they always keep the power on it's amazing definitely daylight longer than wet cells And the price is right
( sorry off topic ). How many miles to the gallon are you getting or how much gas does your PilotHouse use to get to bimi and back ? ( btw great vids - thks for posting !!! ).
No Rodger for the engine I have to wet cell batteries but in the future I would like to get a good quality lithium but they're too expensive they're like $900 a piece and I have two of them
@@OutOnTheReef Don't use lithium for your engine batteries because if the lithium batt internal BMS disconnects the charging system of your engine will burn up in two seconds.
I’m waiting on mine. Same batteries but getting two for 24v system. Bought the same charger also. How are they doing so far and much more life are you getting out of them? I’m going from 50ah AGMs to these 100Ah so I’m expecting a huge difference in run time.
Most definitely kept it now you're gonna have 60% more capacity because leave the embattery's last like 10% more than regular AGM what sell batteries And definitely you're going to love the performance of those batteries and also the light weight And if you take care of them take a last between 8 to 10 years
hey CPro Fishing, did you end up getting these CHIN lithiums? Figured I'd shoot a message to see what you've thought of them so far? I'm looking to pull the trigger on a few of them for my 36v Minn Kota myself
Hey. Captain-Minnkota says No-No on Lithium batteries! What is your take on this? Says voids Warranty and not good for circuitry etc. I would like to do this but nervous about frying my 4 year old, working perfectly, Ulterra!!
They probably do not recommend lithium is because they have Chargers and their charges do not charge lithium so they don't want to lose those kind of sales
So far captain they've been working awesome have no complaints they last longer than wet cells and if you plan to get this batteries or any other batteries if you do please use my links and will help really my channel out to make more videos only if you can't captain thank you in advance
Have you had any issues using that NOCO charger with those batteries? I am considering get 2 of the batteries to run my 24V Minn Kota Trolling motor and I have have NOCO GENPRO 10x4 Charger.
Hello Paul I have not had an issue with this batteries that work in work incredible better than the AGMs and I have never run them out out of power that's how good they and please remember to help my channel if you use my links to buy anything from Amazon Use the link in the discussion below And that will give me 5% commission it really helps my channel out to keep making videos captain I really appreciate your help Only if you can't Navigate safe captain
@@OutOnTheReef Ya I am just doing research before I pull the trigger on these. I have been looking at both Chins and Ampere TIme 12v100Ah. Ampere Time has told me there have had customers have issues when using the battery with trolling motors and do not recommend it at this time. Chins has stated no issues and recommend using heirs for trolling motors. The only issue I have with that is that they are the exact same battery under a different name. Its a lot of money to have the battery take a crap after a few uses. How much usage have you put on your trolling motor after installing them?
@@keonos1 I have used the trolling motor about 20 to 25 times and the battery has never gave me no issues even charging it with the noco charger But in my case I have 3 36v batteries But I don't see why would it be a problem with the 24 V it should be the same But it's my experience They've been working awesome and the price is just right for batteries they're supposed to last close to 6 to10 years cap.
Yes cap If I had to do it all over again I would do the same purchase that'd been holding up really good. No I didn't get nothing bigger because of the size of my storage But this size batteries they last a long time
And if you do decide to purchase any of these batteries any brand if you can please hit my link and I will get a commission from Amazon to help make more of this videos And if you do I really appreciate it😉👍

Hello, I finally got two Chins lifepo4 12v 100 ah battires and same charger (2 banks). Charge voltage 14.2v to 14.4v. For the batteries. My charger only charger at 13.6v Do you have the same issue? Thank you.
the charger voltage is always high but the batteries retain less then 14.4 cap so you may be ok , because the Lithium batteries have a BMS that controls overcharging , hope this helps cap
I’m thinking of making the purchase for a 24v battery for my 80 thrust pound trolling motor , do you still recommend that brand if so send me affiliate link
Hello cap. I don't have the affiliates program anymore. And yes, I do recommend them because I have used them for over 4 years with no problems, captain. And now they're very unexpensive compared from when I bought them. They're like a $190 now.
Really recommend the. And if you use my link to buy them at Amazon, Amazon will give me a commission and that will really help me making new videos cap. Thanks cap.👨✈️
i don't levee the charger on all the time if im not using the boat every 2 weeks i maintain the battery overnight to top it off and wen i make a trip i fully charge it the day before and is been working perfect cap
I only charge them once a week just to maintain it but I don't leave it plug all the time But yes some people do leave it charging all the time but I don't like to do that
Well that's a great question if one battery dies you can replace one and go back to your normal routine without having to buy all three which is more expensive
hello . Any battery that you use ,they all cost the same 40 to 50 dollar per years, the advantage of lithium batteries is that they can be discharge below 12 volt . second advantage weight. in my opinion I don't buy battery from china, fire risk and they cheat. your next step solar panel I have in my boat working perfect
