Best Public Free Skate in Kitchener Waterloo. In this video, we’re going to take a look at the indoor and outdoor rinks in Kitchener-Waterloo, and I’ll share some info on when you can find free or affordable public skates for you and the family to enjoy.
There are two major outdoor rinks that you should know about by now if you live in the city, Kitchener City Hall, and Waterloo Square. Right in the heart of Kitchener, on King St between Young and College is Kitchener City Hall’s ice rink. You won’t find any pick-up hockey here, but it is great spot for you and the loved ones to spend some time on your blades. City Hall itself is a pretty inviting place and in addition to the public services offered here, you can also find an annual new year’s party, festive decorations to suit each holiday, and occasional events directed towards kids, adults, or the whole family.
