We think these pubs are better than most of the pubs in Temple Bar for two reasons...1. Cost. Pints in the Temple Bar area are more expensive. 2. Locals. The Locals rarely, if ever, go to the Temple Bar. And that's the fun of hitting the pubs in Dublin...drinking with the Locals!

I personally only rate the Palace Bar in Temple Bar. Best live authentic Trad music at the Cobblestone in Smithfield

Dubliner here - we are spoilt for choice in dublin but mulligans is my personal favourite. No frills, old school, great Guinness. Spent a few birthdays there, love it 🍻

I love any Pub for that matter. Just not those who have a problem with the music. Since - wherever in the world - amateur musicians who are offered a public platform tend to get carried away enjoying themselves too much and tend to forget to check whether the audience is still with them or whether their art has turned into an annoying noise that prevents people from having some personal dialogues. The funniest moment I experienced was when guests offered two fiddlers two pints of Guinness pints if they would stop fiddling.

I wept for joy during my visit to The Cobblestone. It was everything I hoped it would be! The people, the music, the way I was welcomed and felt so safe cannot be overstated. The Cobblestone and The Gingerman are places i cant wait to visit again. The food at The Church was INCREDIBLE!! Do a gin flight, eat outside, love the oysters!!

The Church probably has the best Irish Stew in the city & you can sit outside. Beware of the Seagulls, they'll be away with your dinner if you don't keep an eye on them lol I've seen it happen several times 🤣

If you are from the US and are flying back to the US out of Dublin, you go through US Immigration in the Dublin airport before your return. This is the first video I watch on this channel and I like it very much. Last observation first - try to get more "stability" into the way you cut the clips. A video is not a slide show - it takes away from the serenity and the mood of the ambiance in which you are working. This video contains a tremendous amount of information, facts, and researched content and overall - is capturing the attention of the viewers resulting in some kind of time traveling. The viewer forgets about watching a video - the way you choose the graphic angles from which you shoot, combined with your talent to use the light like a brush with which you perfectly highlight and downplay the objects, the forms result in what we see - a master piece of a Travel Blog.

We used credit cards everywhere we went. It was easy...at the bar the bartender provided a card machine, and it took two seconds for the transaction. We paid as we went and they did not hold the card to "run a tab" as they do in the US. When buying a drink at the bar, no tip was expected but we sometimes gave 1-2 Euros in cash after a few drinks. At a table in a pub when we ordered food and drink, we always told the server to add 10% to the bill when settling up after the meal was done and we were ready to go. Hope that helps! Hello! Others have said it's a good pub and the food is good too, but we just took a peek inside when we were there. I would suggest checking out Brannigans Pub...less expensive and the food was really good! Thanks for watching! Cheers!

Murray's public house Cobblestone (music) The church cafe (old church) Brannigan's (near spire) - reasonably priced food The oval bar (classic Irish pub where they planned waster uprising) JR Mahon (just south of river and faces river) brew their own craft beer The palace - victorian bar and stain glass. Writers, poets, journalists hung out Mulligan's (est in 1872) Darkey Kelleys (west of temple bar area) - best places to hear traditional Irish music. Oldest part of thr city Brazen head - oldest pub in city . Est in 1198. Lively music at night

ye missed almost every bar on the southside. namely the some of the best Pubs in Ireland: O'donoghue's, Toner's. Keogh's, Doheny and Nesbitts, Peter's, The Long Hall, Stags head, Dame tavern, Grogans, etc.

All good suggestions. You didn't make it to the best - O'Sheas off Dame Street. Note to tourists here in Dublin. Do not, repeat do NOT try any pubs in the Temple Bar area. Very overpriced and full of tourists who can't handle their beer. Best avoided if you're actually looking for an authentic Irish pub experience

Lol! The Palace is in temple bar as is the Porter house, both good pubs. Most of the pubs have free music also. Most tourists don’t drink too much in temple bar.

Lol. But they're not part of the tourist traps of Gogartys or the Temple Bar, where there usually isn't an Irish accent to be heard drinking there. Anywhere around the square seems to attact tourists who are willing to fork out way over the odds for food and drunk

I would avoid Dublin and travel to a decent part of the Country in the West of Ireland.

Hello! Yes, the western part of Ireland is worth checking out and that is why we did our daytrips from Dublin so that we could see the countryside outside of Dublin. The conversions have gotten much better! Right now 10 ,euro comes out to $10.77 in US dollars! And that muddy oil was the sweetest oil I've ever tasted! Lol. Thanks for watching!

@@TravelwithNJSteveandSue Thanks. It is just that tourists all visit the same pubs in the same places, whereas Dublin is a fairly big city and big county with lots and lots if exciting places to visit and everybody goes to the same square mile.
