bradytube The title is clickbait, the definition of best depends on usecase. For my usecase the farm by scicraft the lag friendly one is the best. It creates least lag per pumpkin or melon per hour, so if you max the size so the server can just barely keep up it is the most efficent one.

bradytube Really depends on what you need. This would be a great passive farm if you don't need 50 chests full, lol. Cheap, small, and simple. I love the huge farms, but this is more practical in many regards.

Zack Battenfield If you want to trade with villagers this wont produce enough. I persoanlly have in my singleplayer world one of the checkerboard pattern ones, the one shown by ilmango made 4 times larger, and it still ist quite enough.

agreed I myself use a modified version of ilmangos pumpkin and melon farm but Snocrash's idea is a brilliant one. I think I am going to play around with the downward piston. see what I can do with it :D

Correct - it should work - Just hadn't tested it... and if I had have said: You can use 6; and then it didn't work - i'd get millions of comments telling me i'm wrong :-)

Google something like 'flush with wall piston door minecraft'. There are a lot of doors that would be appropriate. I know for a fact that Mumbo Jumbo has several designs. The simplest design is basically just a double piston extender which opens in to a hallway. Here's a quick example if you want to design your own: i.imgur.com/SiMrN5X.png except you'd build it two blocks tall. I built a secret door like this awhile ago with an item frame as a switch and it's pretty nice.

yeah, it says BEST, it is not the best, yeah is good, but: 1 the seed are not in the most eficient way because they can grow just in 1 direction. 2 It can break (a farm with timer cant). 3 it is expensive. Ilmango´s farm is better in the 1, 2 and 3 Maizuma games´s farm is better in 1 My farm is better in 3 And a lot of super simple farms are better in 2 Yeah, it is super hard to break, and it just use one piston, bla bla bla, but you cant just say BEST, your farm can be eficient or lag friendly or lossles or cheap or easy to build, but the good or bad of farm depends of each player, their resources, their computer, their time, how many melons and pumpkins they want, even maybe they are in a server and it uses so many claim blocks. So, you can say: THE SUPER ULTRA MEGA SMALL, LAG FRIENDLY,, EASY TO BUILD, CHEAP AND LOSSLESS MELON AND PUMPKIN FARM, IT IS JUST AMAZING. But you cant say: Best

Also, the pumpkin melon farm is breakable if the plant grows in the next gametick of the piston retraction, the observer wont recodnize it then.

Plus it can be more efficent by adding more farmland around the stem, it can male the farm over 50% more efficent

Despite the titel being both clickbait and giving the impression this is a fleshed out farm, it clearly is a concept. THings like more farmland to accelerate pumpkin growth or the overall layout of these modules is what you can think about yourself when creating a finalized design using this concept.

Eero L. I was having ago on pc on 1.11.2 earlier and that's how I found out. tryed to use a furnace and the slime block moved it.

GuyverCraft On PC tile entities cannot be moved.
