Hi catherinejoubert2837, when creating EAs in EA Studio and FSB Pro, you have the option to either add a TP and SL, leave them out of the strategy or allow the software to decide which would be best, based on backtesting. That is why some of our EAs have SL and TP, and some do not.

I ran it on Tickstory data demo and it seems to have A LOT of drawdown though. I tried changing the settings, but couldn't get anything better happening.

thank's for the video and thank's for the EA.it's working ;);););) i used the settings from the video bollinger bands (period 32; deviation 2.80) and standard deviation (period 37) and it's working very well with eurusd it's making 10% to 15% per month on the mt4 tester

All EAs go through profitable and unprofitable periods. It's best to keep the EA on a demo account and only trade it on a 2nd account when it's in a profitable period

Hi francebootun9598, as we've said many times, not all EAs can be profitable all of the time. We thoroughly backtest the strategies, so you can clearly see the past performance and robustness of the EAs. The idea with providing many EAs is that when one or more become unprofitable, others will compensate by becoming profitable. We do not trade all of the EAs all of the time, but rather monitor them in a demo account, and select the best current performers for our 2nd account.

Hi justlibo, I'm not sure I understand your question exactly, but, when we backtest a strategy, it is backtested over a period of time of our choosing. The longer the period, the more and different trading conditions we can test it over. So, we test it over the best and worst conditions to get an idea of it's overall performance. But it's always best to also test over a shorter, more recent period to get an idea of how it would have performed in more current times.

The broker you select is very important, and could be the difference between a profitable and unprofitable EA. All EAs will go through profitable and unprofitable periods, so it's important to backtest over an extended period to get a better idea of the overall performance of an EA

The EA will open and close trades fully automatically, but you can also close trades manually once it gets to a profit level you're happy with. I would however recommend keeping it running in a demo account, and only trade it in your live account when it is in a profitable phase. All EAs will go through profitable and unprofitable periods depending on market conditions.

Hi rasalghul9089, it can happen that a strategy would work on multiple assets and different time frames. It has been created using specific historical data for an asset and timeframe, but could work elsewhere. This is why it's good to backtest on different markets and check. But we cautious, and always test on a demo account.

As long as your account balance is big enough, your leverage is not too high, and your entry lot size is set according to your account balance, once market conditions are right, the EA will open and close trades, but market conditions will determine the outcome. I'd suggest running a backtest to get an idea of how it would have performed with your broker in the past.

Could you give it a bit more time? If you do not see trades in a few days, you may have forgotten to enable the auto trading before placing the EA on the chart.

I use indicators for the EAs. It is not a grid and it's not a martingale.

We are not currently trading it. We have hit the limit on our VPS' resources, so we had to remove a few EAs, but you can easily backtest it to see how it would have performed in recent market conditions.

HI @MrHawelock, as you'll see in the video at around 8 minutes, it's being traded on a full 1 lot. The fee structures are very different on cent accounts.

The settings are still valid, however, not for all market conditions. Keep the EA in a demo account, monitor it's performance, and put it into a 2nd account only when market conditions are suitable. In other words, only when it has opened and closed several profitable trades.

Hello Hasni, give it more time. It will open trades when there are signals. Make sure to enable the auto trading before placing the EA on the chart.

The best advice would be to start trading with small lot sizes, on a demo account and implement good money management. Once you're happy with the results, move on to a live account, but take your time.

Hi dorokuhn, as long as you've followed the steps,enabled auto trading before placing the EA onto your chart, and have a smiley face, trades will open when market conditions trigger the strategy rules. Ensure you have anough funds, leverage is set low and you're trading with a broker with small spreads.

Hi santoshithape8652, all of the settings are built into the EA. However, you can play around with a few of the inputs when attaching the EA onto your chart, and if you have a little experience, you can adjust settings in the code using MetaEditor (simply double click the EA in the folder and it will open automatically in MetaEditor). The robot was created using a leverage of 1:100, so I would suggest keeping it that way, but you can change a few settings to the EA in your demo account, run backtests and see which would work best with XM and their trading conditions.

Hi lawrencel2544, results will vary due to factors like the selected broker and their trading conditions, your account balance, leverage, etc. I'd suggest downloading the EA, placing it on a demo account with a few brokers, and running backtests to see exactly how it performed with each over a specified time of your choosing.

We are not running it currently, because we have limited resources on our VPS, and we are testing hundreds of others. You don't necessarily need a VPS if you can keep your PC/laptop on and connected it the internet 24/7.

Hi im_ibb, all of the EAs we create, we keep on our demo accounts, and monitor performance, moving them to our live accounts when they are profitable, and removing them when they are not. All EAs go through profitable and unprofitable periods.

I guess your demo account was small?

Make sure you have enabled auto trading before placing the EA onto the chart, and of course, that you have extracted the files from the zip file first. Also, please make sure you have copied the correct version (MT4 or MT5) according to the platform you're using

Hi DCKalex, this is a Gold trading robot, created using historical data from that asset only. There may be times when the strategy works with other assets, but the backtest was performed on Gold only, and recommended to be used for Gold only.
