I knew Dookie was gonna be on there! One of the best albums from my second favorite band of all time, same with American Idiot! I’m very happy they announced the Dookie 30 box set and I already pre-ordered. I also love those 3 Blink records. TOYP&J and Untitled are my two favorite Blink albums. I also see Dude Ranch back there which I love. The Offspring records are also really good. Also, love that shirt lol.

Kerplunk led me to Dookie which was all my gateway to punk. Friends introduced me to Bad Religion and Dead Kennedys around the same time. Dookie definitely deserves the credit it gets. I’m looking forward to the box set.

I remember a young coworker bringing in Dookie to work on cassette and playing it in the backroom. Our boss came in and asked "what the hell is that!" Coworker said, "It's Dookie!". Boss said, "well it sure sounds like sh*t!"

I was surprised Never Mind The Bollocks sold that many. I remember it not even being platinum until the early 90s. Personally I would count Nirvana as Punk before I would count Blink 182. The definition of Punk is always super nebulous though so everybody is going to have their own take. Good work coming up with those numbers. That information is always harder to come by than most people would assume. Great video. Thank you.

Even though I dislike the band I still have a copy of their album. I’ve always acknowledged that it’s one of the more influential punk albums of the ‘70s and it’s one of the best selling punk albums of all time.

Isn't bestselling punk a contradiction of terms? Punk is supposed to rub the wrong way, so by definition cannot be popular. There are some fantastic punk records, completely under the radar: Some of my favorites include Rites of Spring's self titled, Razzia's Tag Ohne Schatten, Bad Religion's Recipe for Hate, Flipper's Gone Fishin' (unless one considers it grunge), Canal Terror's Zu Spät, Subhuman's Worlds Apart, Zowiso's The Lust. More recent albums include Ötzi's Ghosts, Arctic Flowers' Reveries, Bikini Death Race's Party Animals, or Dividing Lines' Gone. -- and BTW, Never mind ... is not good enough for my collection. May be famous, but that's about it. London Calling is OK, a bit too tame IMHO. In UK territory I prefer The Mob, The Outcasts, Chelsea, Crisis with more mild mannered punk, as opposed to HC (e.g., Charged GBH, One Way System). my 2c.

Punk is a music style. Punk is an attitude. Punk is an aesthetic. Punk has nothing to do with popularity or album sales.

@@danielgeiger7739 Umm, because these are the highest selling punk albums of all time. Really has nothing to do with personal opinion. It’s just the ones that have sold the most.
