Here it is, all 350+ CDs I own! Which ones would you wanna steal? 😜 Really appreciate Retround sponsoring this video, check out their vinyl storage cases (leather and wooden crates) here ➡️ bit.ly/RetroundARTV
In my opinion listening to a cd feels a lot more personal than listening to a digital recording. And it’s fun watching your collection grow gradually over time
@@micshazam842 yep but original press vinyl sound much better than computer crap....check and audio technica with 2 good speakers and is a whole new game when it comes to audio...sure some people like my wife for example don't care much about sound quality ....but it depends on your taste...
@@heavy_ang_patay yes but I think what they mean is that physical manifestation of the artist's work, feels special. I am attached to my CDs lmao, I only have a few but I only buy one once I genuinely adore the album/the artist, appreciate the album art, booklet art, etc.
LOL the descriptions for the Linkin Park albums: Hybrid Theory: Their debut Meteora: Signed by the band MTM: First you were a 'fan' for ATS: Grew on you THP: Fantastic album OML: Possibly their last and... Living Things: Upside down 😂😂
I'm literally the only one of all my friends that buys CDs. I love physically owning music, it supports the artist more, and it's the perfect format for my favorite albums of all time. Lots of All Time Low of course
The best part of seeing people's collections is just how diverse it all is. Everyone's tastes/what they collect/why they collect is different and it's really awesome to see that!
I love buying physical copies of my favourite albums. It supports the artist, you have all the songtexts plus beautiful artwork, sometimes a foreword and posters and they look awesome standing next to each other on your shelf. And just collecting something and seeing a collection grow over time is just pure fun.
I just have a small collection maybe 40 and I love it 😊 It makes me happy to have the music I love on my shelf and discover new Music and expand my collection 💖
My CD collection consist of all this this artist’s ⬇️! TØP , Billie Eilish, NF, Logic, Blink 182, Green Day, Melanie Martinez, Calvin Harris, Fall Out Boy, Paramore, and Pearl Jam!
Your videos have really inspired me to build up my own cd collection! I have around 40 now, mostly from my grandpa and my mum when she was a teenager. I’m only 15, but they hold a lot of sentimental value and it’s nice to have a physical piece of evidence for your love of that music.
soooo, i'm kinda bored so i'm just gonna list all the cds that we both have in our collections,, brand new - the devil and god coldplay - viva la vida green day - american idiot green day - uno! green day - dos!! green day - tre!!! green day - revolution radio gorillaz - humanz linkin park - hybrid theory linkin park - meteora linkin park - collision course linkin park - minutes to midnight linkin park - a thousand suns ( + deluxe version) linkin park - living things linkin park - the hunting party linkin park - one more light my chemical romance - the black parade / living with ghosts nirvana - nevermind radiohead - a moon shaped pool (not proud of that one, can't stand radiohead now) twenty one pilots - vessel twenty one pilots - blurryface twenty one pilots - trench yeah jkdfksdf
@@leomullaney1035 just kinda find their music a bit too slow nowadays and since i've been so happy lately i'd rather have some more joyful things in my collection tbh 👀 + i listened to ok computer and i found it boring lmao
I have hybrid theory, live in texas, minutes to midnight special edition, living things, one more light, oml live and post traumatic. (yes Im a LP Soldier)
Really awesome collection my dude. I have a pretty decent collection going on and A LOT of the same ones as you. I made the mistake in 2008 of misplacing all of my album artwork during a move and have been spending the last 6 years or so trying to get replacements and it's been such a pain in the ass but so rewarding.
I have 370 CDs so I was super excited about this video. Thank you so much for sharing! Making a video like this seems like it would be so much fun, I might have to make one just for myself. I would steal Dangerous Woman, Emotion, Hesitant Alien, Painted Ruins, Golden Hour, Queens of the Stone Age Self-Titled, Clean, Currents, and Virtue. I love your collection videos.
I started my collection about a year ago and I currently have 70 albums, mainly rap projects, but I have some Panic! albums, I own all the Paramore albums, songs about Jane by Maroon 5. I haven't bought any for a little while now because I was considering starting to buy some vinyls but it's a very expensive hobby so I'll stick to CD's. Those signed Hoodie albums I legit need lol, they're so cool, Because the Internet also looks good, never seen that case before for it. Never knew you liked The Weeknd, been meaning to pick that album up along with both Lorde albums.
Lmao at 13:25 I thought that was Wiped Out! By The Neighbourhood for a second, I was super confused cause I know you hate that album but then I realized it was Threads
I have some Linkin Park CDs missing from your collection that I think you'd enjoy more than me since I know how much the band means to you, I'd love to send them to you :) (I would send you Reanimation but I unfortunately only have the case for it, not the CD haha)
Wtf my Blurryface copy came in a standard case!! But at least my Mesmerize/Hypnotize cds cames with the attachable sleeves xp Nice collection Jon. Also, do you organize alphabetically? I have my in order that I purchased them.
I’ve been a CD fan and collector since I was a kid, Now I have over 200 CDs. I got so many CDs I don’t even know how many CDs I have now. Great collection here Jon.
I almost threw my phone when i saw all your Fiona Apple CDs! I love her so much, it’s so cool that you’re a fan of her! BTW @danielmendizabal13 on Instagram!
I'm 16 and your video inspired me to start my own collection! about five months ago I started with 2 Nirvana CDs and a Maneskin CD and I now have about 32. I really wanna reach a hundred by the end of the year! CDs are just awesome!
Woah, nice collection Jon! I just counted mine too, there are some i don't care much about so i'm going to cut it down to 70 that I would listen to/not give away. Anyway things to note are also all the Linkin Park Albums, all Albumbs by Rise Against, all main studio albums by Celldweller, some Avril Lavigne, Muse, 30 Seconds to Mars, My Chemical Romance & Owl City/Sky Sailing. ^^
Hi Jon! I loved your video, being a fan of both of your channels since like 3 or 4 years ago... I was pretty impressed that you got the Aloha Moon by Magic Wands, I pretty much love that album, but I never got the chance to get it lol. I algo got a little CD collection (300 or so). Keep making this amazing videos, I really have so much fun watching your rankings, reviews, opinions, etc. Saludos desde México!
Watching this vid, I was like: .......got it....... got it........ got them all....... got it..... and so on. The most shocking part of this video is that you don't have 39/Smooth and Kerplunk! by Green Day. lol I got the complete discographies of Green Day (including the first 2 albums + all their rare live EPs, book versions of AI, 21B & RR but not the trilogy... yet + a rare version of Warning that includes an EPK), FOB (including their split EP, EOWYG, live album & Mania), MCR (including Bullets, TBPID + Live & Rare EP), P!ATD, Linkin Park (sooo jealous of that signed copy of Meteora), Rise Against, ADTR, Royal Blood, Paramore, PVRIS, ATL (except their first album and EP since they're rare), The Pretty Reckless, Flyleaf, Ariana Grande, Taylor Swift (including her Xmas EP & Rep), Demi Lovato, 21P (except their first 2 CDs), The All-American Rejects, the Civil Wars, You Me At Six, Marianas Trench, Ed Sheeran, Brand New, Billy Talent, Halsey, Lady Gaga (except TSIB soundtrack + album w/ Tony Bennett), Lorde (except first EP), The 1975. + many random albums from various bands and artists over the years. Most recent additions: Thank U Next, Billie Eilish, Ed Sheeran's Collabs, The Black Keys - Let's Rock. Honestly, I don't think I could ever get into vinyl. The static noise and having to flip halfway through would annoy me. Plus, they are way over priced compared to CD's.
I've got 150+ cds with more to come. Everyone of them gets played from the oldest to the newest. I keep them in a Find It Gapless media binder. I bought it on Amazon and I totally love it. Thanks for sharing your love of music cds. 💿
JON PLEASE LET ME TELL YOU THIS: Folie à deux, the “deux” is pronounced like “euh” kinda like when you think I guess. It’s like a deep “e” Idk how to explain. Just thought I’d let you know this since it seems to be one of your favorite FOB albums
Nice one👍 I put my 1975 cds at the start of my collection. I think I have almost 300 cds but I’ve tried to stop buying as many coz I went through a phase where I would be buying like one or two a week and I just don’t have the money. I’ll still always prefer them to vinyl tho 📀
I just started collecting CD’s so mine is pretty small: Pink Floyd - Darkside of the Moon Pink Floyd - The Wall Pink Floyd - Wish You Were Here Dire Straits - Brothers in Arms Queen - Innuedo Metallica - Kill ‘Em All Metallica- Ride the Lightning Metallica - Master of Puppets Europe - The Final Countdown Marillion - Misplaced Childhood Fleetwood Mac - Rumours Kate Bush - The Red Shoes Kate Bush - The Sensual World Sabaton - Carolus Rex Yellowjackets - Run For Your Life
Hey John! Have you ever heard of the Canadian alternative punk rock band Billy Talent? Looking at your overall preferences in music, I'm pretty sure you're gonna love this :)
