Marco has a way of looking into your soul and either crushing it or bringing it to the top. I'd rather have Gordon Ramsay yell at me for an hour than have Marco stare at me for 30 seconds.
Marco is the only one from all the masterchef shows that actually helps the cooks learn something (knife skills, plating skills, etc…) …the others just cook or even worse , just show the contenders a finished dish
The thing is, MasterChef Australia is the only show that I’ve seen that shows as much detail. Canada and US seem to only show the highlights, same for the Junior version of US. The cooks are expected to know the basics before coming in, but the high-level Michelin star dishes aren’t even close to basic, and Gordon and the chefs from the restaurant takeovers show how it’s done. Additionally, there’s details that aren’t mentioned on TV until after a demo is done. I.E. Gordon filleting a halibut, but not telling the viewers that the skin must be removed before portioning it because it’ll be rubbery and inedible otherwise.
@@chefkatzka seems like you're not watching much gordon's participation in masterchef, he literally NOT just coach them, but is helping them one on one, on and off cam. plus he gives opinions elaborately because these are home cook chefs and NOT professional chefs, that's why in Hell's kitchen he's harsh because those are professional chefs compared to this.
@@tehKrickuu something you have to know about others teaching or coaching skills? Does my opinion affected you? Other disciplines and different methods of coaching , don’t get me wrong I like Gordon but I adore how marco’s thinking about teaching the youngsters to cook not to intimidate them , if you can’t take other opinion to your own just leave it , you have the write comments here why can’t I?
He has connected so deeply with them it's like he knew exactly where her intentions were. The moment was 2 chefs dialogue with respect. I think he respects honesty and rawness from people. It shows more respect for the craft than just saying something flippant. 🎉
51:37 "Marco is on top of his game. He's obviously had his Weet-Bix this morning." 😂 She is so unintentionally funny. I think she has missed her calling as a comedian.
@@Michelle-1 they decided to change the format a bit, and pit the contestants against each other in catty way. It was totally different from previous seasons and lost the wholesome appeal it had had.
20:39, let me clarify on the taste buds of our late Jock Zonfrillo & Andy Allen that doesn't familiar on Korean cuisine. They didn't yet to aware that time when it comes Korean cuisine while as for Melissa Leong knows about the Korean cuisine (& other cuisines across Asia for a long time) and educated/shared it to two of her fellow judges-program hosts to study what Korean & other cuisines across Asia has to store to showcase not only to appreciate but also to enjoy and respect.
I have never seen a dish that I would be happy spending $40 on...........not even close. I'd like to see a diner chef style variation on this show. (granted almost all of them are chain now) Say a masterchef with a dollar total on all meals.
I mean if they’re promised that there will be a pickle element it’s normal to be disappointed! But I do agree that their reaction was dramatic (but hey it’s Masterchef of course it’ll be dramatic)
It's staggering how many people are unable to spell GORDON. The show doesn't know it's not GordAn? It's not a hard name to spell, doesn't have that many letters. Anyway, enter Gordon and the bleeping begins. 😂
I agree with all the comments about Marco P White. Here’s my issue, with all culinary programmes, Chefs and Judges should learn table manners! elbows off the table, how to hold cutlery properly including not waving your knife around while eating, chewing like cows - mouth open with disgusting sounds, talking with a mouth full, etc!!!! 😡 the cooks have poured their hearts into the food, the least the judges can do is show some respect at the table. They eat haute cuisine as if its a Big Mac! Sorry just hate bad manners.
This isn’t the queens palace sir! There are seasoned professionals who have worked in the industry for decades and know everything from cooking to etiquette! This is a reality tv competition where they are tasting all the flavors and having a discussion about the hard work of the home cooks, do you think their mentors were as easy going as they are? Plus! Nobody in real life ever does that apart from posh and pompous people who think they’re better than everyone because they don’t put their Elbows on the table
@@midnashadow8439 Well, its evident from your defence that your/their parents didn’t pay much attention to manners. “Manners make the man”, that is regardless of upbringing or social status. It’s further evident in how they dress. Surely with all the money they (the judges) make they could get clothes that fit (see cuffs and jacket fittings)? But I digress, its a national tv competition. Key word is TV and perhaps thanks to YTube an international show, shouldn’t that be sufficient reason to be on your best behaviour? Just because they are chefs and as you point out had tough mentors, doesn’t excuse them from having good table manners. Watch how Marco White & Gordon Ramsay (both from humble upbringings) taste/eat their food, its a different class. By all means slurp, lick the plate, eat with your hands if it gives you joy but while your at it, do check your grammar unless English isn’t your mother tongue. Be well.
@@hugobertiepickles3372 yea English isn’t my first language, and to begin with! There are plenty of videos out there where Gordon is actually licking plates from how good the food is, do you really think that everyone is extremely posh and acts like they’re having dinner with her majesty? Hell no! Just cause I put my elbows on the table doesn’t mean I don’t have manners…first of all…don’t come over here and try to say how my parents did or didn’t raise me to have manners. Second of all: this is a show about flavors and cooking, do you really think this is a manners competition to see who has the best posture and eats a taco without it being messy? You cannot come around and pass judgement based on small clips put together and claim a person is a certain way just because you think you’re better because you don’t slurp soup
I think l am leaving in a very cruel part of the world. As a chef l must wear a mopcap, cover my hair and ears. Please note even when clean shaven, l need to put on a mobcap! Also l am not allowed to touch food with my bare hands. I need to relocate to this part of the world, maybe l will enjoy being a chef again. It is very hot there at the back, it is worse with all the hair and beard covers 😢. God bless the chefs in the world
It' s a pitty that because men don't cry every time they will judge they get fired like trash, this is "MASTER CHEF?" Or the womens who cry the mostand beg are the ones who wins in here? Cause i have lost respect for Gordon Ramsey and the other chefs cause clearlythey pick womens because they cry and beg while men just do what they have to do, and a lot have done much more than most of womens and Gordon and the others give themto the womens because they cry. Damn in every episode you see women crying and men stay still holding whatever it comes. And tears is no thing to take in cosideration here. This is not a movie, this is about food. So stop giving advantage to women that cry in every single competition or episode, is not profecional, it seems like you want those womens to take advantage of them in other ways.
