Just wanted to drop in, VOIP has a few different modes. In the video I noticed your passengers weren’t responding to you, realized you were using squad chat for the people in the helicopter, but none of them were in your squad. You want local for talking to heli occupants, they can’t hear your squad chat. Text shows at blue for local, green for squad. Love the vid!

I love being the transport guy in heli's, because you hold pretty much all the power if your team uses your mobile spawn point. With a good transport pilot on BF4, you can do a lot to help your team. 2 gunners and 2 passengers means you can drop 2 guys off while covering them assuming your a good pilot and your gunners are accurate.

I'm really speechless about your flying abilities. I do enjoy playing vehicle a lot. I've recently switched the Yaw and Roll control which was extremely mind confusion at first, but I enjoy it a lot now. My only problem is flying the big boat UH-60 that's a hard one to control which you seems to be extremely comfortable with! Great Video like always!

The last game of battle bit I played I was in a heli and the pilot played the halo theme for the first journey into enemy territory, then when we arrived and our gunners started raining hell it switched to fortunate son. I stayed on the heli like all game and the DJ pilot absolutely killed it.

Hey, this is fantastic. At the beginning when you are talking about training helicopters... you basically shot one down at 1:34. There are civilian helicopters that have no way to shoot back (the one I know best is the map you were on, Sandy Sunset - spawn at a remote building on the south side of the map). They have no guns, but are the easiest to fly, and not too many people know about them. You can see the paint job looks non-military. Pretty much I just shuttle folks around, and mark targets. Great training, and no one cares if you mess up.

Minor thing - check you're using the right voice channel, squad vs prox, for whoever's in your heli. Green, B key, is squad voice and blue, V, is prox voice Great clips! I haven't played in a week or two, been too busy, but definitely going to make some time this weekend

It's so fun when you have a solid chopper crew. I've had some great games with strangers where there's a really skilled pilot (blasting tunes), two medics and the rest engineers.

Remember playing BF4. We got our squa together with a pilot, engineer, and 2 gunners. Never thought we could take down the other attack helicopters but apparently we were that good. People would spawn on us and fill up the helicopter so we could drop them on a point.

the ropes are just such a fun mechanic i love it

nodak, just a tip or recommendation. unturned has some pretty similar helicopter physics and controls. i try to recommend the game to budding pilots as much as possible.

Having the engine able to turn off means if you are on your own you can land and kill the engine to silently repair yourself. Same reason you can turn ground vehicle engines off. If you're being hunted by some tandems in a tank, you drive away and kill your engine while you heal

really like flying the blackhawk, but usually they get taken by someone that either crashes it after 500m or does unstable circle laps at an altitude to high for the minis to be effective, but when you get gunners that can shoot and people that actually uses the helitaxi its great xD

I once joined in on a heli full of battle sim players.. they whopped ass, they were so coordinated, even used terms I didnt understand, all I did was use the rpg or man the gunners. it was fun

It has already been stated that there are some technical issues with placing vehicles in the testing area. The devs hope that custom servers will remedy that issue

Oh man, I wish I saw this video sooner! I was able to get my HOTAS mapped to a virtual "Xbox" controller using x360ce and HIDHider. This way the game thinks I'm using only an xbox controller, but the different axes are being controlled by my physical HOTAS. I'm going to come up with a tutorial to get that working in the next week or two.

I want to see the weight and balance sheet if your gunners have that much ammo, lol!

huge tip for helis. rebind the x mouse axis to yaw. and A D to roll

Something to know, your maneuverability takes a penalty when the rope is deployed. So deploy, then pull it back up when hunting.

the littlebird can have 2 dudes on each side with rpg's you'll basically be an anti-vehicle helicopter pretty fun if you manage to get a bunch of randoms into it.

i do this with two gunners and 2 engineers in the back. im able to fly for about 70% of the match in one heli with a good crew

Tip: don't let your blackhawk elevation change rate ever hit -8 or less. The damn fat pig doesn't want to fly. If you let it build downward momentum it will prove hard to get up again.

I love the game! And as a vehicle combat gamer myself, I love how all the vehicles feel! Yes sometimes vehicles can feel spongy and sometimes the vehicle wont vehicle, but after being on both sides of the coin, the one that uses the vehicle and the on that tries to destroy the vehicle, I can say its well balanced. That's just my opinion though. Anyways this game is awesome and your content is awesome.

First time I got in a helicopter I crashed it within 30 seconds. The idea about having them in the test area is cool. Could let people try out all the vehicles and controls.

gotta telll the gunners to burst the miniguns, they bloom SO much if you let them get red hot

I loved being a mobile spawn point on top of the tower in BF4

the devs said that the vehicles are connected to the server, which make it difficulty to add them to the training grounds

unfortunately devs said they can't put vehicles in the training range because they are server side or something. They did say that when community servers come out they hope people will create servers for heli training.

I am a beast in the BMP... as long as I have some company, otherwise someone will either RPG me to death or C4 my tail. Can't do helos yet.

adding vehicles to training grounds sound cool, but what would be way cooler would be a arma 2 style editor

Sadly Okidoki says vehicle in training ground will take longer than expected because all current vehicle is server side, transferring to shooting range means they need to change it to client side

My favorite thing to do as a heli ginner is aim in the windows. If your a bit close youll start killing the whole crew, ideally the pilot but taking out the gunners seems easier and is also useful. More fun with the littlebird

Just a heads up in the first clip you are using the squad chat (green, "B") instead of the loval chat (blue, "V").

Not only do I WISH, HOPE and PRAY they add vehicles to the firing range SOONER rather then LATER. But not gonna lie kinda wish they added more choppers to some of the maps. Like, the most iv seen is on ISLE where you got 3 T choppers and 1 or 2 littlie birds. NOTHING is more immersive then getting the tail rotor shot off, crash landing, then blacking out for a second only be like "oh shit, im still alive.... Ok whos not dead, Sound off!" It definitely Takes a little bit of Practice and control rebinding to get the choppers to do what you want them too. Let it be said Battle Bits vehicles lack that sense of WEIGHT that Battlefields vehicles have, so things can get a little WONKY. The mouse controls for instance, the Pitch is Fine, but you can ROLL the chopper so easily your pretty much GOING to Crash. Also not sure if its Lag or what, but when your in the gunner seats OH MY GOD the Screen Shack is REAL at higher speeds. I'd recommend new pilots play around with WASD (turning and pitch), QE (Roll), and Shift/Space (for the Throttle) for you flight controls, its not the most precise, but it works. You can at least keep the chopper STABLE, mostly.

Maybe you could do a tutorial video on best keybindings (although you are probably using a flight stick?) and some basics of flying in game? especially since players cant practice by themselves in training mode.

So currently the problem with putting vehicles I'm the shooting range is that vehicles are tied to the server. So currently, the shooting range can't have vehicles, they would have to change how vehicles function in the game. But when community servers come out, someone could host a training ground server.

Battlebit is proof against the AAA industry's claim that "videogames arent getting worse, customers are just more picky". A game with roblix graphics is getting higher praise that the past 4 battlefield titles. Because its what battlefield 3 and 4 were. What we all wanted.

Can you use axis with the helis? I have a flight sim setup and would definitely give this game a shot if its flight mechanics are as milsim as the rest of the game is.

When I remember correctly then you can read the health of any vehicle on a white/grey bar chart on the repair station at main base while driving it

I know you probably won't read this, but the funnest day of my life was because of a very skilled Blackhawk pilot flying scarily close to the water

I've tried flying the heli once, crashed it instantly and havent used any since to pilot cause I dont wanna ruin it for the team

how do you turn down the volume of the guns spooling up? It's so loud in my game, at least double the volume of the rest of the game

the white and green heli you shot down is located at the bottom right of that map and that one IS the training heli, there are no guns on it and its meant to be used for practice, youll often see people using it outside the combat area exactly for that

so it's realistic that it's faster to fly upside down?

I dislike the controls of the helos in battlebit. It feels completely wrong without inertia. You basically dont move as long as you dont press W. Which is totally dumb. no matter how you pitch or roll, you wont accelerate without raisinf the collective. To me comparing this to squad or gta where im able to fly pretty good this is bs.

Don;t know how fun can a vehicle be when it's nigh useless, gets taken down fast and can barely hit anything... Transwport helicopters may take a few hits and divert some attantion, but littlebitrds - control and shooting: look how they've massacred my little boy...

The problem with the helicopters is that the miniguns severely underperform against infantry, while the infantry can take down helicopters with as much ease as in real life. If a sniper bullet can send a pilot sleeping, so should 2-3 minigun rounds against that sniper do.
