The Chaya Melrose Elites have adjustable toe stops!

I had the turquoise ones, but they broke within a month and a half of buying them. I think that was because the material was so stiff. The shop exchanged my skates for free, now I have the amber ones and I am in love!! They are so puffy, that my foot is snug and comfy. I have had them for 3 months now and they are still holding up amazing

@@capricornonthetube71923 I think so too! They have adjustable toe stops, the Shari plate is compatible with the Chaya sliders, and the Shari plate is also used for a lot of the chaya park skating models

@@l.a.k Yes they re all even quite nice lookin... Recently on skate pro I seen some new eye catching models called Melrose premium, one is bomb in red berry and the other in green, check it out, I don't know if it's vintage look, they got a different type of plates and must be very resistant to skate around seriously.. Infact costs like 3 bucks and some but I like that even more than some overpriced moxi to tell the truth 🙊

chaya melrose elite are very good skates, they were my first skates and I feel very lucky about that

Hi, did you find these boots to be warm? I worry that in my hot country it will make my feet very hot and sweaty.

Chaya Melrose Deluxe Roller Skates or Moxi Beach Bunnies. Going to be using mostly outdoors in my neighborhood as well as casual and a few dance and tricks. WHICH ONES! No ramp skating for me!

@@AmbiPanby so I’m not a professional but I have heavily researched this. In my opinion they’re probably better for outside skating than indoor dance skating. The wheels are very soft, probably some of the softest I’ve seen available. That gives you great grip and it makes it smoother when you’re rolling on pavement that’s a little bumpy. But the grip isn’t great fo dance moves that require you to slide around a lot. I’d say more grip is probably better for a beginner though. However, wheels are one of the easiest things to change on a skate. The bearings in the wheels are excellent. The best I’ve seen at this price point. So you could change to harder wheels for dancing and keep the great bearings. Some people dislike their look because they say they’re too bulky. That’s just the extra padding and ankle support- which I love. Yes I want my skates to look nice but ultimately they’re not solely a fashion item and I prefer that they function well and are comfortable. These skates are comfortable out the box- at least for me. The raised heel also gives them a good feeling of control. The toe stops are actually adjustable (the ones in the video are the Deluxe models but elites are adjustable) and they’re great stoppers. What I noticed about this skate is that it uses excellent parts throughout the skate. Like people will go and but these specific stoppers or bearings for example. Everything is good quality. As a note, I did see that the newer models of the deluxe were coming with adjustable toe stops. I don’t really think you can go wrong with these skates but everyone has a different need from their skate. I love moxis but I’m glad I went with these over the moxis. I did a ton of research. Learned about skating, the types of materials, you name it. I think this is the best beginner skate that you could actually progress far with. There are other great options, and cheaper too, but I’m so happy I found this one and I felt so at ease once I did. I really stress over buying the “perfect item” especially when it’s more expensive and I kept feeling hesitant about the moxis probably because of their popularity and how big skating has become. There are a lot of people truly skating and a lot of people that really just want to be able to take pics and roll down the block or the beach a little. That’s fine, But some people will give great reviews and recommend a skate they haven’t skated in without even knowing about what “makes a good skate good” etc. Anyway for dancing you could adjust the stops higher or plug them and replace the wheels with harder ones. The boot is a little high and thick, so consider if that will get in the way for the types of moves you want to do. I’m really happy with my skates and how they feel. They did require minimal adjusting but that is to be expected. Otherwise I can’t really complain so far. - oh I guess I wish they came with a tool and a toe cover, but that’s it.

Going through the exact same issues. So glad I'm not alone. I was contemplating the beach bunnies and the rainbow riders. Went to the skate shop and tried on these...in love ❤️. Comfortable sturdy and light. I still like the bunnies but it was the comfort that sold me.

Hi D.L. I’m looking at these and would like your advice. I’m a 6W… should I go up a half size or all the way to a 7?

@@JoesChic68 with Chayas, imo, it’s always best to size up. Plus if they’re slightly too large, you can fix that with an insole or a thicker sock. If they’re too small, there’s not much you can do.

@@JoesChic68 Welp, I also just read your question fully. Check the sizing chart. But afaik chaya doesn't do half sizes, so you might have to go full up.

I also usually were EU 40 size. My feet are 25.5cm length, will 41 size be ok or 42 better? 🤔

@MummaOfThree I'm also in Oz and like you, am a new subscriber- I used to love skating as a kid, I'm 44 and want to be active but have a heap of fun too. Chaya skates look great and I'm considering purchasing a pair as I'm not too keen on renting a new pair of skates each time. Keep us posted on how you find them 🌻

I'd love a review of the Luna skates. They seem very similar to Moxi but idk... They're from Germany so I couldn't afford them lol

@@adrianazashen ​ Ι bought the Luna Princess a couple months ago. They are AMAZING! Honestly they feel like they are much more expensive skates. U have wide feet and they are really comfy, nothing like the Moxi Beach Bunny! Also their tow stops are awesome, as you fix them where you want them to be and they stay put. Higly reccommend!
