@@hymlog steel balls are not good for the barrel . the projectile needs to be softer than the barrel. Or the barrel will go out of round after several shots. Anything softer than the barrel is fine. They do make a solid steel barrel for this.

A Nail tip that protrudes through the front of the slug and a Screw tip that protrudes through the front of the slug could be put in for a piercing projectile.
@@akimbofurry2179 to add to their and my previous comment, regular vaseline would suffice, vicks vaporub is just vaseline with eucalyptus, unless you wanna make your projectile minty fresh. Also i found that the kit upgrades it to 20-30 joules, i just ordered one myself. I would think that would be more than enough, dieseling could positively or negatively affect the accuracy also, testing before putting it to defensive use would be ideal. Although the owner of the pistol can do whatever they want, it is theirs afterall. The company that sells the kit, homedefence-24, also sells a sturdier steel barrel, i would think it would better withstand the increased pressure of the upgrade along with dieseling.
@@midas7934 Dieseling works by compressing Oxygen and a fuel in an inclosed space (just like a Diesel engine). I don't see how it would work with a CO2 powered gun.
@@lenm2857 not sure, supposedly it ignites the petroleum based substance when you pull the trigger, but ive heard this confirmed from amateurs to experts. Ive also over lubed my crosman 2240 and it was much louder after a few shots and quieted down after that, didnt intend on dieseling it because i heard about it prematurely wearing seals, but it happened.
Obviously it's not meant to kill or incapacitate anybody *but* , with these bullets , a 20J mod (in the video is the 11J) fired inside a home (so 5-6 meters) I think this would be perfectly reasonable as a mean to scare a burglar/home invader that is not expecting you to have a ranged weapon and has a knife or barehanded. Obviously this is valid in countries like UK where 99.99% of the population, including the perps has no access to firearms.
Thick but light nail in a more brittle rubber/plastic or softer (lighter & more malleable)hot glue, idea being the head of nail in the back keeping it semi-straight & giving tip penetrative damage. Thin but broken glass inside both tough & weak/breakable bodies.
i would like to use slingshot balls in steel to makke the same things..do you think it will working?? and how that you made the molls in rubber to put all those pellet balls with glue??
Anyone try using a bullet primer w/ a BB on the primer? using the hot glue as a binder/placeholder for them to sit BB in place for explosion on impact?
You can actually get a sort of rifling on the slugs. Bumps up the accuracy and range a tad. I've been seeing some interesting designs with barbell slugs, too, but I don't think they'll work with this platform.
Home Defence-24 has a silicone mold for hdr slugs that has a spiral on the side of the slugs. I’ve just ordered one last week and awaiting delivery of it. A video of them is avail by Mad Dog air guns
Now how do you compensate for cutting it in half do you measure the size of the blade. And then make your whole period or are you guys just going 50 cal and cutting it. Wouldn't it be like even with the band so I like a 16 to 1/4 of an inch after cutting through it because of heat
Does the round with a blank cartridge actually get any forward motion from the cartridge detonating ? Or is it just for sound effects and some 'mass' ? Thanks.
I only have access to the 7 joule hdr50 (w/o mods, of course)- will that still launch a disc of Devastator rounds well, assuming the target is fairly close & the co2 is fresh?
The 7.5 will shoot any ammo. Only difference is the distance/and penetration you'll get. I've gotten 185 grain slugs to shoot from it. I also made a mold from the aforementioned slugs so I can make my own similar to this.
Is the blank based projectile hitting the target in two separate parts. Like a big tear in the target then a split second later a small projectile hitting ? Thanks.
What you always could do is suck on some everlasting Gobstoppers until there's the right size and then shoot them out like riot balls if you even have to suck on them at all for the 50 cal. I did this for my 43 caliber Walther PPQ t4e pistol and it works great LOL I mean riot balls are extremely expensive and a box of everlasting Gobstoppers is like a buck 50 lol. Just let them dry first before you shoot them if you have to suck them down to size LOL. It works though...
I have a shit ton of 30 caliber Hilti shots why wouldn't it so often the gun and only go off when it hits the target wouldn't it go off in the gun what am I missing good anyways yeah I'd love to make one of those Terminator X. Hilti shot ammo

Czesc, myślę że wart kupić i zobaczyć jak tym się strzela. Pistolet ma naprawde potencjał lepszy od swojego młodszego brata HDP. Jak byś kupował bierz dodatkowe 3 magazynki. Na jednym CO tyle Ci starczy.
You use blank ammo for slug tip....don,t you worry about its geting explode inside ypur barrel ? Btw its exelent idea...whar about if you use ramset ammo for the slug tip?
No I don,t worry. It don,t explode in barrel because it is not behind of projectile but on front. And it is less lethal ammo, it don,t make big explode. But it can frighten bandit ;) I more worry always when I cast this slugs with blank ammo because temperature of glue is high.
The best is normal cheap hot glue, transparent/white is the best. Black and colored sticks of glue are sometimes too sticky. I,m trying find good mark black hot glue to recommend it.
take care not to ruin your barrel inside, the cinetics are different even with similar materials and slightly different size, but with different shape its risky
Barrel is flat it is straight pipe. Hot glue is like rubber these both have similar softness... i don,t make slugs with parts of metal which they could scretch a barrel. ;) Also glue can easy clean from inside the barrel.
@@roodymatiz So if I made 12mm long bullet shape projectile with a sharp tapered tip on a lathe out of stainless steel, would it work and be similar to a real bullet?
Brasil tá difícil amigo. Da pra importar, acho, da "homedefense/24", mas aqueles moldes não produzem estabilidade, quem de caros. Tem que ter o ôco no fundo como esse molde do vídeo. Também queria..😅
