Wahoo Kickr Snap 2

Neo 2T. outstanding performance, power and cadence accuracy, rapid power response within 2-3 seconds, which is amazingly useful in Crit racing in Zwift. instant connection to the computer or cell phone through Bluetooth, and have tried Garmin and Wahoo HR monitors with it. has never dropped a signal on zwift or lost the connection with my HR monitors. very accurate cadence data, which I think is because it has magnetic technology and doesn't show slippage on steep climbs like flywheel technology. It has the road feel option but I don't use it so I have turned it off. You never have to calibrate it because of its magnetic technology. I highly recommend it. I used to have Wahoo Kickr, which after using Neo 2T I will never switch to Wahoo again.

I switched from Suito to Kickr Core and found the fly wheel difference to be massive. When you approach a hill on the suito, it feels like you are hitting a wall. The bigger flywheel on the core makes gradient changes sooo much smoother. For intervall training, the suito is alright though

I agree with you, my original Kickr 15 died and I switch to a Suito. Thinking about trying the Direto XR with the Rizer when it comes out. Also takes about 20 min of warm up for the Suito to get accurate.

Good reviews all around. The Kickr Core is amazing bang for the buck. Excellent road feel even with the smaller flywheel, accurate power readings compared to my power meter, and 6 months and 3,000 miles later it’s extremely reliable. If your bike has a 12-speed cassette, you’ll need to buy a cassette and adapter no matter which trainer you choose. I also liked the Kickr Core because I wasn’t spending money on a cassette I would replace anyway.

I've grown pretty bitter with Wahoo. Have a kickr that is damaged. Tried to repair it and requested information on it. Someone from their support team basically acted like an 8 year old being incredibly rude to me. Never been treated that disrespectfully by another person before. They have hidden the spec sheets to earlier models, mine is from 2018. Can't find them online without help from their support and since they're intent on dehumanizing me I guess I have to buy a brand new smart trainer. Probably going to buy a Tacx from Garmin.

You did not mention that the KICKR has to ability to bypass the wireless connection and connect wirelessly to your computer. This is not yet supported by Zwift but is supported by other training apps. This bypasses the annoying dropouts that can plague you at the worst times. I think this is a game changer for those who train/race seriously. I upgraded my KICKR just to get this feature. Hopefully Zwift supports this feature soon.

Great video. Some of your viewers, like me, may still be riding vintage steel bikes with 126mm dropouts. I am not aware of any interactive, controllable smart trainer that works with 126 mm dropouts except for the Kinetic Wheel-On Controllable Trainer. You could force spread things to fit the 130mm dropout size several of these trainers support. Or you could go all out and cold set your drop outs to a wider size. But for those who don't want to "mess with" their cherished vintage steel frame bike, the Kinetic Controllable Trainer is a viable option. I have been using one on Zwift for one and a half years. Very sturdy and no complaints.

The "-T" in Elite trainers' names means there's no cassette included, so if your Suito-T came with cassette pre-installed, it must have been some tester's version. However, Suito without the "-T" comes with a cassette (as well as about 55 USD higher price tag, which just matches the price of included 105 cassette).

Having owned the Elite Direto XR I found that the change in power when it hits a climb or a drop is way beyond what you feel on the road, and nothing like as smooth as it should be. It feels like it knocks down 3 or 4 gears as soon as it hits a gradient, and that comes straight in. This is not normal and can make using it really annoying. Nowehre near as smooth as the Wahoo.

Kickr core or flux 2 are best of both worlds but you might up ending thinking about the 200€ that would have led to the gold standard of indoor riding

That 105 cassette is a horrendously noisy choice for those super quiet high end trainers and not much of a bonus if you have an incompatible drivetrain. Put a red axs cassette on there with a clean chain and your drivetrain noise on even the quietest trainer will become background again.

We tackled assembling the bike as a family project. ru-vid.comUgkxzg0clhbtRf2gGxPkVETFKJJKGqdsorQu The package is heavy, but I have 2 teen boys that were able to move it. The written instructions were great- we didn't need to watch the videos, but it was good knowing that the option was there if we needed it. After we were able to get it set up, the boys each rode 3 miles and I rode 8 and the bike stayed quiet. The display is easy to reset, and you can put it on whichever setting you are using (time, distance, calories, etc). I will say that my butt is a little sore from the seat, but that could be because I haven't rode in a while. While it is comfortable for me, it was not comfortable with the seat position for my friend (could not move the seat back far enough and he slightly looked like a kid riding a tricycle that he had outgrown). He also said that the seat hurt his manly parts. We are going to look for a different seat that will be compatible with this bike for him.I did purchase the Wahoo Cadence sensor and strapped it to the crank of one of the pedals. This will sync with my Apple Watch, iPhone and will import data in to my Health app. Wahoo does have other sensors available other than cadence. I can also keep either my phone or my iPad on the display and they both feel pretty secure.

This cutting-edge eBike caught my attention with its revolutionary indoor recharge feature. The brushless 750W motor and impressive 80Nm torque promise an exhilarating and powerful riding experience. With its 80mm front suspension and puncture-resistant fat tires, I can confidently conquer any terrain. The Morph eBike's Smart Saddle Detection+ feature provides valuable performance insights and keeps me motivated during both indoor and outdoor rides. I appreciate the innovative approach freebeat has taken, and I'm definitely interested in learning more about this crowdfunding project!

If You are buying a new one, Don´t buy Suito. Resistance regulation is odd. A slight uphill and You will get tremendous resistance spike. Also does odd resistance spikes on downhill. Not worth the money. Buy something else.

WHAT?! 1.400$ for the Tacx Neo T2 and you still have to buy a cassette separately???... the Wahoo Kickr seems more worth the money to me
@meibing4912
@meibing4912 2 года назад
The Wahoo cassette will not work for everyone. For many it does add to the price of the Neo not having one - but it also pushes you to get the exact same cassette as when you are outdoors. My biggest problem was that its so hard to even buy a cassette today.

The law of diminishing returns comment with bike trainers is absolute bo11ocks, true with bikes though...... Let me explain why, from actual experience..... If you buy a mid range trainer, say from elite, it will either be inaccurate, loud, slow to change power in erg mode, have minimal firmware updates, spindowns, junk manufacturer support, made of plastic, or probably all of the above faults in 1 product. Not only that, but you will spend hours and hours of frustration trying to get something to work out of the box, that will always be sub-standard. It becomes a waste of £500, £600, £700 etc. Spend £1k on a Wahoo kickr (places do 36 months interest free on it), and everything is spot on out of the box, it just works and is smooth as butter. Sell it 2 years later for £700, so really 2 years of training has only cost you £300 and saved you from having wasted £700 on a piece of mediocre junk that just causes you endless hassle and frustration. 👍🏿

Doesn't Zwift make smart trainer. Were they not good enough to make the list?
@bikeradar

When we shot this video Zwift hadn't made a trainer but we have since featured them on the channel. There will likely be a big smart trainer test again in 2024 so keep a look out for that

I use the Elite suito and I am very unhappy with it. The Software is terrible! Update don't work. Calibration, don't works. Speed on the bikecomputer around 600km/h. And on top of this, if you don't use Zwift and want to use the Elite software you have to bay for a abo to use standard smart trainer function as power control, gradient control or following a track! I clearly don't recommend this trainer!

Do you have a wahoo bike computer? There seems to be an issue between wahoo and elite... you pay to use zwift. Or you pay to use elite software. Choose... i think its not that weird.

Why do all the smart trainers need extra power? You could easily use the power you put into it, can't you?

Not all require external power, e.g. the Neo, as mentioned.

Noise will not vary with watts. It varies with cassette and or wheel RPMs. I'd think you would have noticed that if you went in depth with these trainers.

@@ChamucoDS hi, yes I do. Garminin has just taken over the company, so looking forward to future software updates. I'm really enjoying the Tacx Flux 2, the only issue I found is that it needs to be calibrated on the Tacx app prior to each ride to get an accurate simulation. It's just about logging onto the app then pedaling for 10 seconds and you're done. If that's not an issue for you then considering the price and functionality I'd highly recommend it👌🏼
