Great video and nice samples of plugins for these sws, Please you should consider create this same video but compare why you like this sw software from your perspective.... and show us an example of why this sw is better then other with example of handicaps and rank all of them from your perspective (speed, easiest approach, missing stuff in sw, ...) ... I meant like workflow from the box to some specific testing shape and compare it with other sw..... show us why this is better than other sw, how fast is it in that sw with shortcuts, if modifiers exists, if there is spline and distribution on spline, modeling regard non destructive/destructive, boleam how it behave and is it destructive/nondestructive, scattering, fx water and or etc, and important is custom scripting and creating yours modifiers or something similar to modifiers, and if you can procedurally model... And test it towards how quickly/easily you can create example shape.. Thanks for video...I am saying that blender has handicap because you cant stack modifiers, this is a big minus, i am little bit sad about it... I would love to see this video from you, because you know these sws more than most of us who know just a few of them really well. Best regards

i love zbrush, blender and plasticity. animating in maya is probably the best for me in terms of game ready workflow. i still don't like the hotkeys and accessibility to maintain a proper workflow for modelling but its great too (i should get used to it). i hope we can get a bridge add on for plasticity inside blender cause it would make it an undeniable pair for workflow. i recently got a job with a particular new studio and we all love plasticity. i highly recommend it and have to say its worth the money compared to others and what it can achieve.

No, you're confusing SubD and Polygon modeling with what Plastcity is which is NURBS/BREP with a direct modeling twist. And it's NOT sculpting in F360 it's T-Splines/SubD modeling there's a HUGE difference.

Most people don't use every software. I give him full marks for mentioning modo. But 3D Coat is one of those app that doesn't seem to get as much love as its practitioners feel it deserves. Which is unfortunate. I haven't used it, but I'll periodically take a look at it and wonder if I ought to take the leap. What stopped me was the arrival of Nomad, interestingly. I enjoy sculpting on my iPad so much that I don't want to go back to my laptop (where I have used Blender and Zbrush). But if I did, I think 3d coat is the one that would make me do it. @rayjynx

@@ahora3854 Maya's edge flow tool is literally named "edit edge flow"... also there's a history system instead of modifiers, so you can always edit stuff like bevel width, segment etc in the history of the object, although modifiers are still way more convenient. for quad fill there's scripts out there to handle it.

For modeling hard surfaces that don’t have curved surfaces the best is Plasticity. I have no doubt. And it’s only version 1. I think that in the future even advanced and fast tools for curved surfaces will be fully developed. Mixed curved surface/solid modeling: Blender, Modo, Max, Maya etc. Makes little difference. None of them has any great innovation that will break the competition. Everyone has to use subds. Organic modeling: Zbrush...but immediately after Blender. Because as far as sculpture is concerned, hundreds of tools are not necessary, and Blender has fantastic brushes, unfortunately it only manages 10 polygons. 3DCoat is almost as big as Zbrush, but chaotic.

I dont used it but i used CAD software and Plasticity works like CAD.. no doubt it will be the best for hardsurface modeling. I used a traditional 3d modeling softwares also like Modo and Blender and maya but ZBrush can beat them with its Live Boolean. Conclusion, if Maya owns the throne for Rigging and Animation, all traditional 3D softwares might end up useful for Retopology and UV Mapping only.. and Modo stil exist in those aspects. Well, Blender? Its basicaly free so stil useful because it does the job also but not that good comlared to Modo. And we al know, Rendering is much easier in Unreal Engine or Twinmotion so basicaly render workflow in maya, blender or modo or any 3d software will get obsolete in the future as new 3D artisr get used to it

Blender need 50 addon and still don't have the amount of tools inside max alone. Blender is cool and free but. Max is far superior por poly modeling and precision. People get almost religious about blender nowadays. Blender is Good. But not the best.

@@marcos_c_m I never used Max, since I'm on a Mac, but Max has clearly got strong adherants. I've used modo and Maya and Blender, and I can definitely say: Blender has come a long way (and it's nicely customizable), but other apps have better thought-out UI and key bind choices. what do you mean hard . Can you cut it like in SolidWork.? All this good for some funny pictures but not for realization in real world . .This is not good software if people have a plane to be specialists Just play with the dots and it can be fixed idea for all life of them . No size , nothing in engineering sense Baby play .
