❤️❤️Hello friends, South India is a beautiful part of our country, and what makes me like it all the more is the delicious South Indian food [ South Indian veg thali]. Yes friends South Indian food is surprisingly simple but very delicious. This cuisine is mainly found in the states of Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Kerala and the union territories of Lakshadweep, Pondicherry and the Andaman and Nicobar islands.
The food consists of both vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes. The South Indians love their fish and rice and also take pride in the all popular sambar and rasam which are an essential part of their daily diet. The food is traditionally served on banana leaves and consists of snacks, vegetables, rice , poori's, ghee and beverages. The use of coconut, curry leaves , mustard seeds is very dominant in their cooking. Friends South Indian food is considered to be very healthy also because of the minimum use of oil and not to much of frying and over cooking.
The food is cooked in a very simple manner and is generally tempered in the end.
In this vlog friends we visited a popular part of Mumbai named Matunga. This part of Mumbai boasts of a huge South Indian population and thus a number of South Indian restaurants that are serving people with Authentic South Indian food since many years. Udipi Shri Krishna boarding is one such restaurant that is more than 80 years old and serves the most authentic South Indian thali. The thali consists of 6 vegetables, daal sambar, rasam, rotis, poori's, rice, curds pickles and papads.
The thalis are served in two versions that is the unlimited thali and the limited thali. The place is usually very crowded during lunch hours so please be prepared to stand in a queue and wait for your turn, but I can assure you friends that the food is worth the wait.They serve Thali for dinner too. There is no A la carte so just go there choose your thali and the food will just keep coming.
