I love to sew! :) I know the basics of chocolate and tempering but I am not an expert so I tend to teach the things I have lots of knowledge on. Usually, when I am using chocolate on cakes I get the candy melts that don't require tempering.

I got that at Joanns Fabrics !

I used a buckram with a medium-stiff consistency. For the lining, I used quilting fabrics that are 100% percent cotton but I also heard that combining different fabrics that have a tight weave also works.

I pass the top part of the cord on top of my ears. Some people leave it at the top of the head I let it hold on the high part of the neck. The one that knots go below the ears and know in the back of the neck. Just pull until it fits and make a bow.

Those holes don't stay open. Once you stean the fabric they just go back to normal unless you are using really thick pins which I personally don't like.

I hope your right. I have been researching face coverings since the beginning of this Covid19 crisis and I have read that once you puncture holes in the interface that the hole stays in place. I will have do an experiment and test my interface. What kind of interface do you use? I’m using Pellon 830 non woven interface.

@@mrs.yvettestevenson6352 Really depends on the interfacing you are using. I am using no glue interfacing but then again I am using 4 layers of fabric which is more than what is recommended and you can always add a filter. If you have the clips and just rather use them instead of pins then go ahead and use them. I can do the same but I do feel comfortable using some pins. I just don't use the thick pins.

@@marthac5457 I love sewing. I know these masks are maybe too advanced for beginners but I hope that the step by step helps those who want to try. I have some friends that are selling them after they learn how to make them..lol
