I have been playing alot of Death Guard recently and i can with confidence say that this is basially a core stratagem for DG as it makes their movement 4 terminators actually usable

I needed this. Very new to death guard and I just played a match using my newly painted death shroud. They got shot off the table. Rapid Ingress and your tactical break down should help me going forward

Sweet. Will consider my play style and keep my board better protected. I play daemons, orks, chaos marines/death guard, and necrons. This seems devastating with elite units. Might pull oyt the old mantis warriors to try it out

as a casual player, the ambiguity around whether I can deep strike on turn 1 is so frustrating. I'm not playing the leviathin mission pack, we are basically just playing "only war" mission from the core rules, which apparently allows deep strike turn 1 (or even deep strike with rapid ingress turn 1!) I hate that this is apparently TOTALLY OK according to the core rules, but yet lame and completely overpowered. So I need to voluntarily tell my opponent "yo can we house rule that we disallow deepstrike turn 1, as if we were playing leviathan, because otherwise I'm going to be too OP"

Outstanding vid as always! Can we deep strike a unit and Rapid ingress another on the same turn? Eg. Deep strike a unit of inceptors and then pay 1cp to rapid ingress a unit of Eradicators as well.

you can rapid ingress on your opponents turn. but you can deep strike then rapid again on opp. turn.

New space marines Vanguard can put a deployed ubit back into reserves at the end of opponents first turn. If opponent goes first, that means you can potentially deep strike your own turn one

I really need to know if the nids can stop rapid ingress. And if they can does the cp from rapid ingress get refunded? My buddy plays nids and it counters my rapid very well if you go by their ability. I play CSM.

What ability are you referring to? Follow-up: I've done some digging and I don't know of any ability that Nids have that stops Rapid Ingress. The only way you can actually stop Rapid Ingress is by screening out the board in a manner that makes it impossible for your opponent to use it.

at 7:30 you talking about coming in 9" away they cant shoot you but they declare they will run and then run more than 3" they then charge you, it is only a 6" charge or am i missing something? because as i read the rules you move then either shoot or run then charge so am i wrong or what ???

the 6" mentioned is you can come in within 6 " of the board edge, but still need to be outside 9" from an enemy unit. so if you rapid you can try to hide behind a building so your not shot was my example.

Nope turn one. Only special units who say they can come in turn one only can. Like grey knights for example

I'm going to use rapid ingress with pink horrors, they can deep strike outside of 3" with a stratagem, so I can put them in front of key charges and potentially pull the important models completely off while they're fighting nonsense. Lol

make sure you can use the strat, because you dont get to use some on your opponents movements phase, most the time it has to be your turn to use your strats. rapid is not your turn.

@@40kDirtbags Yeah that is 100% correct. I can not do some of the stuff I was originally thinking when I watched this video because the strat doesn't work during their shooting phase. It is a great defensive strat though. I used it to drop Horticulous Slimux in behind the changling that was going to get charged by custodes for his heroic intervention for free
