Another great selling point of the Biore sunscreen is that it is reformulated every few years! The dedication to improvement of their product is awesome.
Zinc based sunscreens (physical) are great for the skin! They prevent less breakouts and your skin becomes more even over time. The only problem is that most of them have a white cast. Finding tinted one helps. Also chemical sunscreens make you break out and have blotchy uneven skin tone. I am the same color as you and have found a few physical sunscreens that have no white cast if you blend in properly. - olay mineral sunscreen spf 30 - juice cc cream spf 30 tinted version - dermalogica physical sunscreen spf 30 Most physical sunscreens are drying, you can moisturize underneath, but I have found a few that are still moisturizing. So physical sunscreens are also a great option for oily skintones.
I agree, physical sunscreens are better and safer. Heard Olay and Dermalogica are good. Also Cerave mineral tinted SPF is supposed to be good to try and Mychelle tinted mineral SPF 50 which you can buy at Ulta and on Amazon.
My fav sunscreen atm is the EltaMD Clear Tinted. It’s a hybrid chemical and mineral sunscreen. The texture is literally to die for! No white cast and it has niacinimide too. Worth the price for me!
@@linds_1285 no, I’m in the U.S. I know the website DermStore has it, but I purchase it at a Medical spa in my area. I’ve also seen it in dermatologists’ offices because EltaMD is a professional skincare brand.
Love this! I have been using the Neutrogena Hydro boost since you recommended it several months ago and I really do love it a lot! You never steer me wrong Samantha and I don’t know what I would do without you! Thank you so much for all of your hard work to help all of us.
I never skip applying sunscreen, I've tried several brands but so far I've always gone back to the Elta Md one, it works great under makeup... you look beautiful Samantha 😍... hugzzz ❤️
I LOVE the biore sunscreen. I have never noticed a blue cast or any cast. It's really light so I can use a nice moisturiser underneath and it's easy to reapply. I usually buy it from yesstyle but I know stylevana sells it as well
I did pick up Paula’s Choice Youth Extending Daily Hydrating at the last Sephora sell and I love it and just today I pick up Neutrogena Hydro Boost and face spray suncream today at Walmart, I cant wait to test them.
FYI everyone, the face mist needs to be sprayed on your hands before applying to your face, according to directions and reviews. Do not spray directly onto your face 😊
This is such a lovely video, thank you! I know that sunscreen is important and I do wear it every day but going to the store to buy a new one can be so daunting. Especially without testers it's hard to know which sunscreens will leave a white cast and which ones won't. I've always been weary of the Neutrogena ones because I feel like I must have used one at some point that was thicker but I'm glad to see they do have lighter weight options! At the moment I'm loving the La Roche-Posay Ultra-Light Anthelios (quite the name, lol). It's SPF 60 but it is so light on the skin! I can't feel it at all even though I put on a pretty hefty amount. There's a tinted version as well but even the untinted blends into nothing on the skin.
Love your reviews Samantha, would also like to see mineral SPF options for brown/darker skin tones as they are both safer for our skin and safer for the environment. In fact effective from 2021 Hawaii have banned sunscreens containing both oxybenzone and octinoxate. Australia already bans these products and Florida Keys may well be following suit. Avobenzone is often a replacement in beauty products and sunscreens but this has its own problems! So having a mineral sunscreen option (even just one) in your beauty kit is a must have in my opinion. Xx
Yes I understand! I have about 5/6 videos on a variety of options but there’s significantly less available for deeper skin so I don’t cover it as often
I live in a veryyy humid country, that biore doesn't work for my oily skin 🥺 maybelline matte sunscreen works wonder on my oily skin! & it blends into nothing 💞
Am I the only one who experienced the Hydro Boost Sunscreen to be extremely greasy... even though it's catered towards oily skin? Like might as well fry an egg on my face afterwards.
