Welcome back everyone. We took a little road trip from Salt Lake UT to Redding CA to get a new seat made for our adventure bike. We ended up going with a seat from Russel Cycle Products and were really impressed with the workmanship and quality. We'll probably make a more specific review of the seat after we get a few thousand more miles on it, but so far it's looking promising.
We ended up stopping in Lake Tahoe for an extra day to see the sights. It was super pretty and a lot of fun. I'd definitely recommend checking the area out if you get a chance.

Several years ago, my dad and I had custom seats done at Rich's custom seats. Excellent work and experience. You will be there all day, though. There are on olympic peninsula Washington. I hope you get a good fit

I agree that I've found Best Western has the quietest and better outfitted rooms of all the smaller Motel Chains. I just rode my 2013 Tenere from Fort Worth TX to Monument CO and stopped at the BW Motel in Dumas.

For my arse the ST stock seat is much better than my old fz1. Im giving an Iron Jias (airhawk copy) a try

Great video. I just bought a '13 Super Tenere out in Denver and will be flying out with my daughter in a few weeks to drive it home to Wisconsin. Planning to camp our way back through Wyoming and South Dakota and show her some of the national parks out that way. Hopefully it will be as beautiful as your trip. Thanks a lot for sharing.

So what are your latest thoughts on the Russel Day Long? Right now I think it's my last hope for a comfortable ride so I have an appointment to get one installed on my GSA on the 17th of Feb.

I think the seat is really great. I am still trying to pin down a fitment issue and have been procrastinating reaching out to them to get it adjusted. My wife has been very happy with hers. So as long as you can dial in the fit when they're fitting you, I think you should be good.

I just bought a ST mainly to keep my wife happy on long trips. I'm debating between the daylong and the seat concepts. Love the videos btw.

How’s the new seat been? I’m looking to replace the stock seat on my super tenere and it would be great to hear from other riders before dropping that much money on a seat.

It's pretty awesome. I still need to tweak with mine a little more but it's way better than stock. My wife loves hers as well. The workmanship is fantastic.

Jubjub, is that because it's too stiff for your weight or something else. I'm thinking of letting DayLong redo my S10's OEM seat base. I ride solo, so no need to do the back seat, but I need to be more comfortable. But I'm 6'2" and 220 lbs of solid muscle.(mostly) So stiff would be good for me. Here's a tip for your fans, I built a backrest out of an Isuzu Rodeos Headrest and it works great. I made a bracket to set the headrest post in right behind the riders seat, between it and the rear seat, and it can me removed with a push of the Isuzu OEM locking button. I built a bracket for the headrest for a back rest for the back seat, but my wife won't ride with me, so I removed it. The best part is it has a center that allows me to run a strap trough the headrest and tie down my sleeping bag to the plate where the rear seat normally covers. Google 93 Isuzu Rodeo headrest and you can see what it looks like. I'd send you pictures of my set up if I can figure out how. Gonna spend the day catching up on your videos. You're a lucky guy to have your wife ride with you.......

@@CurtisDrew1 I think my seat just needs the angle tipped back a bit. I swapped out the spacers under the seat to use some thinner ones on the back and it helped a bit.
