I was pleasantly surprised with how good body press Carbink is! Has access to rock polish, iron defense and light screen. I’ve been smashing rock and dark type raids easily and mine is only lvl 80 😅
Synthesis is better imo unless you're using Grass Ogerpon. Relying on leech moves for recovery leaves you vulnerable to the buff reset while the mon has a barrier.
I took a shiny gliscor from my PLA game and transferred it to Violet. Instead of hypercutter i went with poison heal and toxic orb as held item. Self status is kinda helpful specially for some who likes to use t.wave/sleep/burn.
I’m having a blast using Ogrepon, Kommo-O, Milotic and Blood Moon Ursaluna for raids! Just because they’re all my old or new favorites and they perform all amazingly (Ogre and Ursa) or at least fairly well (Milotic and Kommo) in up to 5 star raids, with Ursaluna and Ogrepon easily soloing 6 star raids that have a good type matchup. I’ve had a blast with this DLC. Omg! I almost forgot Gliscor! Always been one of my faves.
One tip for Clefable if you're running magic guard. The ability prevents Life Orb recoil, so equip that over expert belt and enjoy the extra 10% damage.
Hi osirus, pls can u make trade bot for NORMAL hisuian pkmn in s/v? I rlly want hisuian goodra in s/v but im getting legends arceus all the way in christmas!!!
scizor is pretty good for bug. i have one with item: shell bell, ability: technician, nature: adamant, EV's: hp+attack, moves: sword dance, bullet punch, fury cutter, and dual wingbeat. works well against bugs, fairys, and psychics.
Was watching this while I was surprise trading and got 15 shinies that were hacked but they had no items meaning that they were "regifted", please don't regift the hacked pokemon.
There are lots of nice grass options for raids now. I'm partial to contrary grass tera lurantis with leaf storm and a shell bell but ogerpon looks fun. If you get arboliva there's nice synergy with grassy terrain too.
I use Haxorus if I want a powerful physical dragon, so I use Kommo-o as a belly drumming drain puncher. Screech and Taunt as the other two moves. My inventory of Raid Pokémon keeps getting bigger so this kommo-o is used for its resistances mostly. I have the other good fighting drain punchers too, so it’s nice having specific counter picks
This is very specific, but a Farigiraf with the ability Sap Sipper using stored power absolutely destroys Sinistcha raids, even if the tera resists psychic. It just spams stun spore, increasing your attack.
With the Leavanny I definitely think the ability matters. You have no Sunny day for Chlorophyll so Overcoat and Swarm are literally just better abilities because they actually do something.
Unaware is better than magic guard. Unaware ignores your opponent any stats boost. It doesn't ignore your stats to your opponent pokemon. This is why in competitive singles or doubles can be so strong.
I'm only bases this off the last spotlight raid with Iron Moth and Slither Wing that the 7 star raid will only be available in Paldea but they may change this to appear in Kitakami as well, being a Hisuian Pokemon it would be great if it only appeared in Kitakami although I guess its kind of bad for those who dont have the DLC's so most likely just Paldea.
They really shouldn't have made all of ogerpon masks be an held item. that Sucks, just like Dialga, Palkia & Giratina forms not being able to hold items, But Ice Rider & Shadow Rider -Calyrex can hold items when their stats and abilities are beyond broken And also Hoopa Unbound gets to hold items lol
Having great fun with Kommo-o Max EV's HP/Def, Body Press max PP, Iron defense, taunt, helping hand, at +6 defense rock solid and hitting for big damage and can support as well.
You can't think of any tanky dark types that can lower the opponent's defenses while keeping itself healthy? My brother in Arceus, allow me to introduce you to Umbreon.
Did they fix the ai in raids or did I just get unlucky I was fighting a rock dusknoar I used guts haryama with life orb but it refused to burn me with will o wisp even though in my first try with a different pokemon it spammed will o wisp
Always preferred shell bell to expert belt, would rather take the extra turn or two to knock the pokemon out than risk fainting and losing any stat buffs ive spent a lot of turns setting up
I still need to finish the dlc on violet and then start it on scarlet, I've been so focused on pokemon go and recently pokemon unite because my cousin got me into it when I visited him
Belly drum is definitely an option to consider although I just think swords dance a little more reliable as your not losing HP especially with some of the 6 raid mons nullifying stat boosts in the first couple turns of a battle
I caught a shiny bellsprout, gave it xp candy and a leaf stone for a victreebel. But now I realize he does not have growth as a move when I do 'remember moves'. Does anyone know what I can do about that? I can't get it in a TM so idk what to do😅
Love the builds, gonna try and get a shiny mandibuzz and build her up. Also I would recommend changing the ability on clefable to unaware since you ignore the stat changes or if you are low on ability patches you can run a life orb with magic guard since it won't do recoil damage.
Weather Ball is the best option as long as you keep the Sun up. Weather Ball's base power is 50, doubled if a climate is up, here we're using it in the sun so it becomes Fire Type which means that it's STAB and gets another 50% Boost from the Sun. 50 × 2 = 100 100 × 1.5 (Sun) = 150 150 × 1.5 (Non Tera STAB) = 225 if you're Terastallized it's even stronger, 150 × 2 (Tera STAB) = 300
Ik but, resetting for a Scizor raid is pretty time consuming, plus some raids im pretty sure have been eradicated from existence, ive havent seen a 6 star klawf raid in months
I actually have a shiny Snorlax from Sw/Sh , how I got it ? Well I was just wandering around the wild area when I crashed onto the Snorlax that appears in the bridge and turned out not only to be female but she was also SHINY. I use her only for online battles thout , the strategy that I use is tera dark with a healing berry and a moveset with stockpile , curse , recycle and crunch. That combo makes Snorlax really bulky and really hard to deal with. Still thanks for the great guide as always ❤❤❤
So with this video i have a question (i just started again playing after awhile) what strategy is the most user friendly for someone new to ev training and generally new to sv and raids? (Teaching my son) just looking for some ideas on easy to use and set up sets for raids
I'm no pro but there's a couple pokemon that have worked well for me. Espathra psychic tera modest nature if you give it a shell bell and just have it spam lumina crash and tera asap will take out a bunch of pokemon.
There's always the classic huge power azumarill that you belly drum first turn with play rough, liquidation, and tera blast holding a shell bell either water or fairy tera but a shell bell is important.
probably buying the vitamins or doing the Ogre Austin' minigame from the dlc would be the most user friendly, just keep in mind that it cost like 550K to max one pokemon.
I opted for Belly Drum on my Kommo-o, isn't the bulkiest but it still works quite well. Definitely gonna need to shiny hunt a Mandibuzz for a raid build though
