I just randomly found you by googling good teams for daddy welt and this is the most well spoken and informative team guide I have found! So excited that you made a whole series, thank you! Definitely be doing that, but prefer to wait for release details as builds change significantly based on finals nerfs and buffs. Teams compositions don’t really change since it’s core concepts. As we have seen with the recent CBT, only Jingyuan had a major change to his kit - and not actually substantial also in the grand scheme of things.

ikr, on top of that he deals some good damage and is a good breaker. Welt and Danheng combo is so underrated.

@@aleesha5579 one thing I forget to mention is that Dan Heng doesn’t eat much Skill Points with Welt on the team. You want to switch between their Skills rather than use both at the same time. If they’re already slowed, then that’s when you use Dan Heng’s skill to quickly get more energy and add a second temporary Slow to the enemy. Or save his ultimate for when the time is right. Tingyun would do double duty on activating his Talent and buffing his overall damage, but it’s better to use the resident tank (be it Fire MC or Gepard) to activate his Talent when the timing is right. On other times, you will be using Welt as the main source of DPS and Slow until the conditions are met for the horrifying damage number.

The good thing about dan heng and welt is that its almost sure to have a slow on and they both deal more dmg from slows

March 7, welt, and dan heng are great for permanently locking your opponents out of attacking in simulated universe. I was able to beat world 2 with level 30s and 25s

im actually confused on which to bring xD! i have welt and himeko, but dont have pela yet. I am confused on how I can make most of the shield break mechanic himeko have with this comp. guess ill have to pull her first nice vid btw

welt and asta combo really help me with with world 5, welt just wont give kafka a chance to breathe cus i always manage to cancel her 2nd attack with welt ult so i dont get dominated, paired with asta giving my team like 10-15 turn per cycle

i know this video is kinda old now, but i found some good f2p to play with welt are the ones that benefit from the ennemy taking less turns. Like you said i believe sushang is a great example of that as the ennemy stay weakness broken longer so she can dish out good damage more easily. One other that gacha smack uses (and that i find very interesting to pick up) is Arlan, with the fact that some people think that he lacks a bit of dps putting him in a with welt complements really his weaknesses big time : - ennemy take less turns so less pressure on being 1hp with a shield - welt is an incredible subdps (even if i'm planning to test him with the messenger set + energy rope to see if i can keep the ennemy at bay, the imaginary set is great on him if you plan to play him as dps) - March COULD BE the only sustain you need (i need to e6 before testing it tho), plus freezing ennemies while they're weakness broken give even more time to dish damage without taking any pressure - arlan is a neutral positive(SP) dps :D - the third slot is kinda free, you can take a healer if you need it / a buffer / a debuffer / or (i do hope) the next unit that can manipulate ennemy AV :D

Is there a practical “limit” to slow down and speed ups? Is it possible to make the enemies skip a turn round entirely, be so fast that your team ends up going twice?

Yes, this is also called “lapping”. When you overtake a unit. Seele often exhibit this even without her passive. And this video I talk about abusing this concept

@@EODGamerSG When you're getting more turns because of Welt, does that make go to the next turn more often, or does its go to the next turn only when the enemies finish their attack? Since there is a turn limit to get a full clear, wouldn't Welt be a bad character in that sense, it would force you to run no healers on full offence just to compensate.

So... what if we use Tingyung and Asta at same time? to get the sped from Asta's super and Tingyung giving energy to Welt? Probably we would need Natasha as the 4° slot more something more safe, but Welt can do pretty high damage, what do you think about that? Anyone is also wellcome to also say something about it

imo, Welt is better for DoT teams like Sampo and the upcoming Kafka as well as Serval and Hook. in my experience with lots of turn based, Speed up units like Bronya are better paired with dpses like Yanqing while Speed down units like Welt are better for longer fights with DoT + Survival units like Sampo and healers/tankers like Natasha/March

since jingyuan and blade are AOE dmg, you will lack in single target dmg, for bosses this will be a problem

Welt’s single target damage is pretty good if there’s only one enemy on the field. His skill hits 3 times and you can build him to do lots of extra damage on enemies that are slowed. (Which is what he does)
