How long have you been in a relationship with her? You can say something like, "Oh I just thought you were busy and I didn't want to disturb you. I've been very busy myself!" or something along those lines. Make sure you have avenues to spend time on like your hobbies, going out with friends, etc. and lastly make sure you employ the 30-day "no contact" rule and disregard her random talks. Good luck!
It's very important to give it time to let whatever anger and hurt there is between you two, especially from your ex's side, subside. My ex broke up with me in December and then i got into begging and pleading and then i saw your videos and started the no contact. Another dating coach advised never to accept "friendship" (or make moves that indicate you just want friendship) if you know you want an intimate relationship. Basically don't settle for platonic friendship or else it makes you seem weak. What's your thought on that? Admitting your own mistakes that contributed to the breakup is a good start! Taking action to correct those mistakes is another step, albeit a very challenging one. I suggest you take some anger management classes, perhaps? It's important that you work on yourself first and not rush this because until you've resolved your anger issues, your relationships would take on a similar pattern, whether it's with your ex or not. What if your ex is a horrible person now and we both had ended our friendship really badly to the point of saying a lot of horrible things to each other and blocking each other off? I have no intention to get back together with her, but as a sign of respect to what we had and our friendship, I do want to send her a letter which says goodbye to her in a positive way while apologizing for the horrible stuff I said to her and wishing her the best for her future. It's been more than a month now. It's time to take a look at the bigger picture here. It doesn't really matter what your ex is doing. Chances are your ex is rebounding anyway but the point is you shouldn't be focused on that right now. That's all out of your control. Hi Brad! I am not sure if you'll see this, but it's worth a shot! My ex broke up with me and I did the 30 day no contact rule, but after he was still set on ending the relationship. There was no communication for 6 months before he phoned me out of the blue one day and said he missed me and that he made a mistake and he would do everything to make it right. So we met up and he told me that he actually just wanted to be back in my life as a friend and continue talking. About a month or so later of having friendly, positive conversation he leaves me on read! What gives and what do I do??
It doesn't look like he's ready for a serious/committed relationship. Hi Guys, my ex and I broke up over the weekend and I employed no contact straight away, on the first day she text me 3 times "are you okay" "ignore me then" and "why?". I stayed strong and didn't reply, the second day of no contact she text once again saying "just let me know youre okay" then just "Olly!!!". I could tell she was getting angry so I just answered saying I wasn't being rude just been busy and that I needed space after the breakup. she replied she "understood and gosh this is hard have a good evening". yesterday was the 3rd day of no contact and It got to 11:30 last night and she text me a random thing about a restaurant near us, I ignored. then at 3am she called me 6 times! which woke me but again I did not answer. should I have picked up the call or did I do the right thing by ignoring them? thanks in advance. Looks like you're already playing your cards right, man! Keep it up. Remember it could also be your ex's way of coping, so try not to get too affected by that. If they continue to reach out to you, however, then this really depends on the frequency and nature of the contact from your ex and whether or not you've reached the phase where you're supposed to be talking again. If your ex continually messages you, then it’s important to put your ex’s messages into context, more so if this happened during the “no contact” phase. Is your ex trying to contact you about something really important, like an emergency, unpaid bills, or something equally urgent? These are reasons to respond, including messages where they get angry due to your lack of response. If this does not describe your situation, however, and your ex is really just texting some useless random stuff and/or asses his/her power over you, then you can just ignore and continue on with the 30-day "no contact" rule. I replied when I woke saying I hope she was okay. then she replied later at night saying she "understood what level we were at but didn't expect that little care after being in hospital all day" as I considered this an emergency as she's been in hospital, I replied for a few texts checking up saying to rest up and her family can help her out etc, but she tried make me feel bad that she had nobody to help her, but then she also turned cold and when I ended the conversation she just said "thanks, take care"... that sounds like an end to me. did I ruin it by responding? If you have no other means to reach out, then leave it be. I'd still suggest to give the "no contact" rule a shot because that's still really your best bet, which will work in a sense where you BOTH will get to clear your mind to be in a better position to deal with each other when the time comes - instead of letting emotions overrule everything, risking things to get blown out of proportion even further. It's always best to come to terms with the fact that you're both single now. You doing the "no contact" rule neither prevents nor encourages your ex to go with someone new. In other words there's really nothing you can do to keep your ex from getting with someone new if they want to. So it boils down to two options, really. 1. Employ no contact and keep your dignity while respecting your ex's decision to breakup (why push yourself to someone who doesn't want you?) or Option 2: Do not do no contact and be pathetic. I always advise people to choose option 1 but really, which option you choose is ultimately up to you.

I need help. So my ex said that he needed to be alone and find himself. He also said that he lost feelings for me but later said (one day later, after my desperate messages) and said how could he just lose feeling for me indicating that he didn’t. Stop forcing things. You both have to process the breakup first and go through all that pain and slowly let go of the bad memories...It is a process, but this is what the "no contact" rule is for, to help both of you move forward from that pain. A reconciliation with an ex means there will be a new relationship between you two where the lessons of the past are taken into consideration in order to resolve it to create a better relationship in the future.
