Hi brad, thanks for your amazing content. My ex broke up with me (ghosted me and blocked me everywhere) after an argument because i was suspicious that she is still wanting her ex back (something that happened repeatedly during our 4 months relationship, when i find out she would block him but then unblock him and text him after a period of time), at first i begged, she called me and said that she doesn't love me and that being in a relationship with me was a mistake from the begining. Two days later she followed her ex back on Instagram. I went into no contact for 30 days (in which she showed some signs of jealousy at first). But now i have to see her everyday at the university because we are in the same class, she just says hello, and when she joins our group of mutual friends she only talk's to them as if i do not exist. Not only she is still in contact with her ex but now she is going out with other men too, not in a friendly way (they hug and cuddle), and she has changed so much i don't even recognise her anymore. Her mom texted me saying that my ex will never change her mind even though her mother is trying to convince her, but she still wears the ring that i gave her, she is still in contact with my sister and she still didn't give my stuff back as she said she would do. What can i do in this situation? Is there any hope left? It might seem that our relationship wasn't that long, but it was very intense.
My ex broke up with me two weeks ago, but he tells me he loves me and constantly says he wishes things weren't the way they are now, being apart. I told him I love him and don't want to lose him, but he said the relationship is dead but then changes his mind, and says he's not sure why he still contacts me. I just started a job and I'm in therapy to gain back the confidence I lost when I lost my job. I'm hoping he will take me back once he sees I'm self reliant and gained my confidence back. It's good that he's facing up to his emotions. He's right though. The old relationship is dead and if you two get back together, it'll be a new relationship between you two. But as it is, you two need at least a decent amount of space from each other first. This is what the 30-day "no contact" rule is for. In addition, looking at the issues that led to the breakup, be sure to use this time to better yourself and get it together first, yeah? Life is tough and relationships are bound to run into challenges, so get yourself to a point where you're ready for both. My GF told me a few things that hurt badly, but I can fix them all. She didn't take the time to look at anyone else's perspective. It’s been 7 weeks/51 days since I went into no contact with my fearful avoidant ex. He first said “Rotating because I can’t see you with someone else 😔”, then when I mirrored his message by saying “Rotating because I can’t see me with someone else either 😔”. He unfollowed/blocked me, and deactivated his account for 3 weeks until he reactivated it again. Hi Brad... My ex and I were together for 2 years. We broke up in July and shortly after began following your program. I went 30 days no contact & eventually reinitiated contact. After meeting up in person, I admittedly made the mistake of not playing it cool with my avoidant ex. He's responsive to texts, but brief and sometimes delayed. Says he's unhappy since ending, but that his mind is made up about our break up and he's enjoying his time alone. If you truly think the situation requires it, then yes. The average time for the no contact period is ideally within the 4-6 week range. can someone help me out a bit? she broke up on june 1st and we have been in no contact since the end of july. the reason for the breakup was i got too attached. she felt like she was my only source of happiness which is really just wrong. i did alot of stuff when she wasnt with me. and i also enjoy alone time where i can do whatever i want. she started going to therapy and said she cant promise anything. she never undfollowed me on social, even checking my tiktok once in a while and lately liked 2 of my reposts even though it was just through the feed. she watches all my insta stories. i have to say i dont really post them to check if she sees it, i would post them anyway. but she never tried to reach out. my birthday is on october 2nd. do you think its safe to say the ship is sinking if she doesnt get in touch with me on my birthday? i know for a fact she is not dating anyone at the moment. shes actually a pretty honest soul, never made a fuzz about anything. i had some breakups in the past where i knew it was over and didnt even try to do anything about it. even longer relationships. but this one is just different and i dont know why any help is appreciated

Hi! It's time to take a look at the bigger picture here. It doesn't really matter what your ex is doing. Chances are your ex is rebounding anyway but the point is you shouldn't be focused on that right now. That's all out of your control. Focus on yourself instead and show (NOT tell) your ex you accept her decision to break up. If you do, you'll accept that you're both single and therefore you'd stop overanalyzing every little stuff. I've coached clients for more than a decade so I guess I'm qualified to answer this! :-) Everyone has different reasons for doing so, but a lot of the clients I've coached wanted to try to give it one last shot so they can move on without regrets or wondering about the what-ifs, particularly if the relationship and/or the person was a significant relationship to them. But in the end, it's always up to you since you know and your ex and the relationship better.

I hoped you hadn't skipped the 30-day "no contact" rule because of this curiosity? Be sure you do that first. It looks like you're not ready to communicate with him yet. If you have kids and/or other responsibilities still tied to your ex, but it's best you do limited contact or what I call the dynamic "no contact" rule instead of the full on silence associated with the no contact rule. we were dating for two years before he had to move to another town due to his studies this summer. A week before our 2 year aniversary he broke up with me over the phone saying he couldn't do long distance and was too busy. I had bought tickets to visit/celebrate beforehand on a weekend trip, and I ended up going. We had our ups and downs, but he broke my heart ending things so prematurely... Right before i left at the airport he said he loved me and would like to see me when he's home for christmas... I don't know if i should just move on, I tried arguing against the breakup for a week or two but now I have just gone no contact and hoping it works... Your advice calmed me down at least! thank you. Us people are so complicated, it's nice to hear some supporting words when you don't have anyone to talk to.
Three months in,saying the L words to each other and spending a lot of time together, she hits me with the "i dont want a relationship" text. She said we went too fast. I of course tried to reason with her, saying we can skow down. She said we had crossed" boundaries " and didnt beleive we could start over/slow up. I gave a simple reply of "im glad it was nothing major, youre welcome ". I.did send her s funny meme that she laughed at the fillowing day. But since then ive not contacted her and she hassnt contatcted me either (four days now). I notoced she has watched all my Facebook stories. I unfollowed her on Facebook but we are still freinds on there. My question is should i occasionally reach out with simple light hearted things or try the 30 days? Alright, my Ex just doesn't know what she wants. We started going out more again and it seemed like it was going to re-spark with my birthday coming... there was some many signals being tossed around like compliments and physical touches during the previous dinners. My birthday comes and it went like crap; at the end of the night I was rejected and probably said too much due to us being drunk. The following day we talked on the phone and she said she needs to work on herself before getting into a relationship again and I told her I'll respect that. The following day is a double ring day because I ignored the 1st phone call and answered the 2nd one. The next following day I ignored her call again (I do have some family issues going on and I don't need this stress neither). Then she texted me before the weekend starts which I did politely respond to once my workout was done. She called me that night before bed; just the usual "how are you, how is your family". I did not ask if she had plans that Saturday because she wants space. Whats the play here, continue to be suto no contact and let her continue to reach out to me?

Should you text them to wish them happy birthday if they have done that for you? My ex and I started talking again after a few months of no contact and briefly started dating again. But she pulled away again. We talked about meeting up again after she withdrew but it never progressed as she wasn't really committing to anything and I never heard back from her. I went back to no contact. After over 1 month of not hearing from her, she text me on my birthday, wishing me well and also bringing up the possibility of meeting up. I waited a couple days before replying. I was calm and a little cooler than her msg, saying thanks and to let me know when she wants to arrange something. She hasn't replied. It's her birthday next week. I'm not sure I should text her to wish her a happy birthday, given she's still not replied? I'm a little tired as feel I've done all I can so I've really gone to leave it to her to make any moves.
Focus on texting and try not to meet up when one or both of you aren't ready yet. The phase you're on (assuming you've done the first phase correctly which is the 30-day no contact rule) is the second phase where you're rebuilding attraction. Is this the most recent ex? If so, let her finish whatever unfinished business she has with this ex. Sorry, but there's not much you can do at this point, especially if your relationship only lasted a short while and more so if she's seemingly (subconsciously or not) used you as a rebound, for your ex to jump back too quickly with him.
