For those watching in 2023, this hotel is now called "Mood Hotel Pattaya". It's still basically same as on the video, however, some part of the rooms are now painted yellow and amenities are changed to the new theme. This room is now called "Mood S Double" and price is still 600-700 baht per night (depending on the season). A-One star hotel Pattaya is 100% confirmed to be guest friendly. (I should have mentioned it) However, I also think that term is quite useless today, as I have been traveling Thailand since 2008 +2 months every year and stayed over 100 different hotels & serviced apartments, and I still haven't encountered a hotel that is not a "guest friendly". I believe that this "guest friendly" term comes from the 90s as then most of the visitors in Thailand were from package tours and tour agents sold the hotel rooms by "a bed". And when a customer took another person in the room hotels had to charge for "extra bed" or "extra quest fee" and so the hotel become non-guest friendly. Nowadays as the most of the bookings comes from websites like Agoda, 99% of hotels in Thailand allow 2 people to stay in their room whether you book it for 1 or 2 persons. Yes, almost every hotel in Thailand is guest friendly up to 2 persons per room. For a hotel in Pattaya, it would be quite hard to stay in business if they start to charge extra for 2 persons in the room. However, of course, there might be some expectations. At least in hotels that mainly accommodate those tour package guests. So yes, its good to mention it in these videos. Its also good to note that for example if you stay in the same room with your wife, friend, or brother and then bring another extra person in the room then the maximum 2 persons per room is exceeded and the hotel indeed can charge extra if they want to do so. Also, you are expected to pay extra for breakfast if your guest eats it.
Unfortunately, many booking sites state that pets and assistance dogs are not permitted in this hotel. I suggest to check out the Ibis Pattaya hotel which allows 1 pet / service animal for free. I have seen a lot dogs there and their website also states that 1 animal up to 10kg is free. But as always, its good to check details directly with the hotel.
