We’ve only had the cameras up and running for a short time. ru-vid.comUgkxOXxsTZ3ptV_Pk0fFl8bNZvVqeoqBQFwe So far we love them! I got the outdoor mounting kit for them and they were easy to install. Once you download the app, it walks you through the very easy set up. The clarity, and range is awesome. I am thinking seriously about adding another camera or two to my 3 camera system. The price is lower than a lot of comparable systems.

Shocking how slow the progress has been with webcams. We're pushing a decade with no significant improvements. Market competition seems to be failing us in this area for some reason.

@@drewl1990 my issue is battery life and needing a third party app to use it as a webcam. And then you have lag because it goes through a third party app. And you'd need a tripod for phone or some mount to hold the phone.

A very helpful review - thank you! Could you please advise which of the three: C920, C922, or C930e, would be best for teaching online? What is important for me is: 1. being able to have video in HD on Skype and Zoom. 2. Being able to record HD video for RU-vid and Facebook, also going live on Facebook and RU-vid. Or is there yet another (better) alternative to the 3 Logitech cameras (I don't want to spend too much as I'm only starting)? Very, very grateful for your help. Kind regards, Katherine.

Can anyone explain? I don't understand why the C922 will do video calls in 1080p on a Mac but the C920 won't? Is this really true? I asked a Logitech tech guy in my search for which model to purchase and he said that's not true at all. He told me that as long as the app (Skype, Zoom whatever) can video call in 1080p, either camera will do so as well. So now I'm confused.

It doesn't really make a big difference whether you have a 30 or 60 FPS web cam for game streaming. The main focus is on the gameplay, which you will likely stream @ 60 FPS and your streaming software will automatically sync your 30 FPS web cam into that. Many are still streaming @ 30 FPS as well in which case it would make zero difference. Having each of your web cams recorded frame being shown twice won't really make any noticeable difference, especially since your web cams picture is likely gonna be just a small part of your screen. As a PC gamer I would just go for the one that you can get cheaper or can find in discount. If they are around the same price then pick the c922.

I bought a C922 Pro and although I wasn't particularly impressed, it will suffice. I also bought a HIKVISION camera that offers the same specs as the C920 (no 60fps support) and it performs as well as the C922 Pro.. only without the autofocus. But if anything, the fixed focus option is superior for streaming as we tend to fix our focus in any case. I'll use the C922 Pro for my A cam and the HIKVISION for my B camera... keep in mind that the HIKVISION version costs just US$40

@@sarahyambao6454 oh no nothing like that. It works perfectly, but as you say.. the mic isn't fantastic. I also use a mic on a boom setup so I never concerned myself with the quality of the onboard mic. But you'll be very hard pressed to find one more reasonably priced that actually isn't garbage. With the right tuning in OBS it punches well above its class.

There is AI processing that can increase the quality of any mic, even the onboard mics in notebooks and webcams, and make them sound astonishingly good. It's called Wavelink. So good, it makes it hard to justify the clutter of a professional mic. My mic is gathering dust because I get the same result out of my headset mic now.

thank for the informative video I was thinking about getting the c920 but just found that the c922 is actually £10 cheaper than the c920 so I might as well get the newer version bought the c270 a couple of months ago although it isn't a bad webcam especially for being under £30 it just isn't that good for streaming and recording gameplay.

massive difference in audio between 920 and 922. Neither are a patch on the B525 audio though, and the depth of field of the C525 is superior to the 922. Combined the video of the C525 with the audio of the B525 and you'll have a winner .

JME Mapping, I am 100% happy with the C922. Zero complaints. The image is crystal clear. With 200 mbps internet speed (20 mbps upload speed) I get usually 20-30 fps stream rate.

I use the C920 and don't see any benefit to upgrading. In fact, if I had a need for another webcam I would purchase another C920 due to the much lower cost. A couple of thoughts on a future comparison review like this one, first, while it's nice to see how they both perform in the auto-modes I find it difficult to believe most content creators use these webcams that way. I would rather you use the manual controls and make the images comparable. If you are unable to achieve equality of images using the manual controls then there is a compelling reason to upgrade. Next, I would not use the autofocus either, once I'm in my position to deliver the content I wouldn't want to leave the quality of focus to the auto-mode, it's just asking for a retake at some point. Perhaps you could test the quality of manual focus for both, highlighting how much movement you could still have without the image being out of focus. I enjoy your reviews and tutorials and refer back to them as the need for good advice arises, thanks for all the effort you put into these.

And this is why you need to open the cameras up they are in fact identical. The 922 is using upsampling to get the 60fps at 720p that is why the 60fps looks very poor. So bottom line the 922 is really logitech just grabbing money from the new crowd. Stick with the 920 and that's the bottom line.

Logitech C920 is very good for talking and image quality, but absoultely TERRIBLE for singing, when it gives enormous lots of various distorsions, but for this purpose my old HP webcam works fine! So do you want to record your singing for Gods sake stay away from C920!!

Even if I'm french speaking, it was easy to understand... a bit fast by moments but the "pause button" can be used...! Interesting to see that there's not a lot of difference between the 2 models...! I do understand that these webcams works very well when using Skype, Zoom or other similar applications... but my great concern is...: if I want to do some video with singing and guitar playing... could I use these kind of webcams or do you have a better choice to suggest...? I bought the C920 and the quality looks awful to me. They can't claim full hd and deliver quality that looks like 15 years ago. I had really bad experience with the camera and I retuned it right away. Very disapointed.

You can buy blue yeti, i have it and its good, there are many vids on youtube that give you recommendations and guides on which mic to buy watch them. Just search "microphone recommendations for youtube vids" you'll find something good luck :)

For our videos I use a mix of the Boya BY-M1 lavalier microphone, a shotgun microphone (sony I think it is) or if it's recording into a computer I use the Rode NT-USB

i Need to now if c922 works with Logitech Webcam Software and also conected...c920 same time. you tried this ??. I have conected...same time Orbit , c910 , c920 ( all with Wirecast and controler LWS) and....i dont now if buy this product. Tanks!!!

It will not allow me to use an external microphone and earphones no matter how I fiddle with the Windows Control Panel and Webcam's audio directives.

Is this camera significantly better than the IPhone X Max (as it relates to the task/environment below) ??? I'm looking for a camera to video engraving sessions, moving in close at times, so: • Indoors w good lighting • Only my hands and tools move, pretty slowly • I also need to be able to sometimes record at about 12" - 18" away with high res If the web cam above, nor the IPhone X Max isn’t the right tool, can people share some ideas of what camera might be? (Something around or below $150 ?) Thank you in advance for helpful information, or links to possible suggestions Shannon :-) .

My logitech C920 looks pretty bad. It is very grainy and noisy when I film with it. HOW DO I FIX THIS WITHOUT BUYING A TON OF EXPENSIVE LIGHTS AND EQUIPMENT!! I believe it's the auto ISO, but there is nowhere to manually change that, so I HAVE NO CLUE WHAT TO DO!

My only issue with Logitech has been washed out highlights. In looking at the side-by-side, that issue looks a bit worse with the 922. I'll keep the 920 for now, and make the next upgrade to an actual stream compatible camera. Thanks!

the c922 is a piece of shit, mine just breaks the image if i go with 720p or higher resolutions, i tried OBS and Xsplit and no solution whatsoever, also the drivers are total crap and not even the logitech webcam software is 100% compatible with it. Stay away from the c922, get the c920, im so pissed with this stupid buy i made, and worse thing is that i can't return it cuz i got it on an international trip
