if you decide to do this again (pls do), i think holding off on the rating would be fun bc we can guess what category it might fall into. either way def wanna see another one 😂
I can't help but feel you slept on Thugnificent from the Boondocks. The diss track he did on John Witherspoon was fire. The Lethal Interjection Crew was the shit
I think it’s disqualified because that song was actually played on the radio for a year and a half and it contained content from real rappers Nate Dogg, snoop, and Busta Rhymes.
Seeing Stacy in Dope now after seeing The Wood (I saw Dope first) has now created the head Canon that all hood movies that take place in LA more or less share a universe.
i genuinely liked that "cant bring me down" song when i first watched Dope. idk what that says about my music taste but its already stuck in my head again
Bro, this gotta be one of the funniest channels on YT. That fact u mentioned the "Willie Beaman" song from Any Given Sunday makes me appreciate u even more P.S. Also yes, please make a part 2 to this video. And 3&4 and so on. This channel really is low-key 🔥, keep doing ya thing bro, its definitely appreciated
This was so fun to watch. You always make me laugh. In Part 2 you've got to include : CPQ from "Moesha" & Freestyle Unity from "The Parkers" CB4 "Empire" & "Star" Boyz In Motion from "That's So Raven" *I think Pharrell did the music for Dope
Definitely definitely definitely gotta do a part 2 bro. This was fantastic. I was waiting for you to get into that Hip Hopera that Beyoncé was in back in like 1999. They had a rapper named Blaze that was ASSSSSSS 😅
Funny fact: Jamie Foxx actually made that Willie Beaman song before he even got the part for the movie... He made a video of this and sent it to Oliver Stone (the director)... And got the part 🤷🏾♂️🤣
Great topic and video bro. Def need the part 2. Got me with the thumbnail and no sir smokes a lot. My mans Djay and Cool Dr Money gotta make the next list.
Maybe on part 2 you can do my favorite fictional rapper Thugnificent. He and the Lethal Interjection crew had some solid bangers! (Booty Butt Cheeks, Eff Grandad, Stomp em the nutz)😂
Do part 2 for sure. I like how there’s a mini review/synopsis when discussing something that maybe wouldn’t work as a whole episode. Also need part 2 because deejay is the name and I came to bring the pain (hustle & flow in the fire category)
Back in the early days of the Internet I searched far and wide to find their music only to find out it's movie music. Strangely there is an album but all the songs are sung way worse for some reason
2 videos in one week?!?! Thank you!! Also, Boys in Motion from That’s so Raven was soo good and bad would be Rubber Band Man when he turns to rap in Static Shock.
Dang when you mentioned Robert Townsend making his characters look like cartoons, I thought about how Flash kinda looked like Powerline when you look at both characters close enough...
Love it. If you do Part 2, gotta include Tammy Barrett from the episode "Eye Witness Blues" from the 90s hit New York Undercover. For a show that regularly had real artists, this actress known for not singing pulled off a banger.
huge fan man !! showed the whole fam you really embracing the culture been subscribed since pain in full one of my favorite hood movies. you should do city of god is a hood movie from brazil.
First of all let me say as an introduction to you and your channel kudos my man I f****** love this damn video I am definitely going to sub please for the love of God I'm waiting for part 2 you got me at work dying right now😂😂😂
You know I never thought of it until this video, but Paper Boi being mid is probably on purpose. (The actor never actually rapping on the show definitely is) It was probably some subtle commentary about who blows up and why/how. And it explains kinda why Paper Boi never really understood why he was getting popular so quick. Also we need your top 10 favorite episodes of Atlanta because I KNOW you have thoughts about Bibby😂😂
That is true, because there was one episode I think in season 1 where he had to go to that hipster office to do something like a Tiny Desk Concert alongside another guy they kept referring to as an industry plant. When it came time for him rap, he didn't want to do it especially after seeing the crowd and walked out.
