He's not gonna last very long in music business either. "Kane Brown and Khalid can't sing is an understatement". They both sound like street singers begging for spare change in the street. I enjoy Dierks Bentley’s music the most when it includes aspects of traditional country music. I love in “Gold” that he refers to the road as gravel. There’s so many songs out there about dirt roads. Our farm is 15 miles from town so we often travel on gravel roads.
Heck yeah! His stage presence is incredible - easily one of the most underrated working artists today! Him and Zach Bryan are the best concerts I've ever been to!
Loving "Quittin' time" by Zach Bryan, that's the first song of his that's really reeled me in. Also loving "Angels in this town" by Eric Pasley, "Hearts don't rust" by Brandon Davis, and basically the entire album Ronnie Dunn just dropped.

I'm thinking that Luke Bryan might be entering a new 'chapter' in his career. He has never strayed far from his typical high school or college love and heartbreak or party songs, and when he has strayed from that, he immediately returned to those songs. But his previous single was Up, which by the standard he's set was a massive failure; it ended his record streak of 24 number ones on the Mediabase charts. Up was a message-based song, and instead of going back to what has proven to work for him, he released another message-based song. That just strikes me as notable.
But 'Country On' in my opinion is just a bad song. It could be sold theme music for rural prucy ads. 'Up' was a . Meaningful song. Like has made some beautiful recordings of some well written songs. He never releases them. He needs to be focusing on good, meaningful songs. He isnt a wild buck anymore and why should be want to be?

Plus if you go back to some of his older albums like Country As Me or Dirt Road Communion, there’s some good stuff in those records. Room 205, Country Boy’s Kryptonite, Beats A Million Bucks, My Old Man, Only A Country Girl, Die Tryin’, Jack Daniel’s & Jesus (although I prefer the version off of Ignite The Night). Some of it may be bro-country ish but he had a few of those that were stellar too.

Idk why this just came to mind, but the phrase "country on" reminds me of "cowboy up," and not the movie but the phrase as used by the Boston Red Sox before they reversed the curse. It doesn't elicit the same emotional response, though.

I felt like it’s been a really slow couple of weeks. I wasn’t really a fan of any of these songs or any of the most recent outputs. I guess Me on You and Key West to Colorado would be the best but I’ll check out some of the others. Nothing though these past weeks has struck me whether it’s mainstream or independent

I know Brian Kelley released “whatever floats your boat” a while back and i couldn’t get hooked into it compared to his solo album. Probably the lyrics were too generic for whatever floats your boat. Tyler Hubbard’s “35s” and “way home” were not it either.

Hank Williams Jr's latest album (Rich White Honky Blues) is alright. Some songs are good some are ok. Definitely more of a rock n roll tone/blues to it and I like it. I recommend checking it out sometime (if you have time.) Anyways, great video!
In My Drinks is good, but Stronger Than I Am is a burner! Such a strong single. By far her best song. I would like to hear her do some things that aren't so..hick hoppy.
That's why I really despise Lily Rose's music. It sounds so overproduced and Poppy, the lyrics are childish, and I can't freaking stand her voice it sounds like a female version of Gary levox's voice
David Morris remake on "Carrying Your Love With Me" yeah it is a fun take. but not country and not because it plays to the country anesthetics visually means it should be consider country genre because it isn't. and then you have "Grand" by Kane Brown that should not be released under a country umbrella either
