Gosh the tattoo of the African lady with the galaxy for her hair was so beautiful. I love it and some of the judges' criticisms I think are off because looking at her I could immediately tell it's a galaxy/outer space.

I love that Dani was happy for her even though she lost. Respect between artists always makes me happy

I get that Chris wants a lot of black in space tattoos to be accurate, but had he ever considered that a lot of solid black looks bad?? The way he describes what he wants to see is mostly black with "shimmers". People don't want a nearly pure black objects when they get space tattoos, they want those colorful galaxies contrasted with the vast darkness of space.

What kind of shop tells you not to trust other artists? How could you ever be an apprentice then if you can't trust anyone?

The only downside on being early is not having comments to scroll through

The judges really hurt the show. It makes it obvious this is reality TV and not an actual competition

lauras alien tattoo was one of the best tattoos ive ever seen. I would feel confident letting her tattoo me. that looked truly top tier professional

Jess's wolf is beautiful! The loose color in the swirling black and blue is gorgeous and breaks up the negative space. The shading on the wolf is very pretty and prevents the face from looking like 1 or 2 colors of black and grey. They were just trying to find something to criticize in it. That panther too. Stunning!!

In the last portion I didn't think the wolf head or the panther was that bad. The panther concept didn't look like space but I rather wear either of those tattoos over Kyle's

Man a good chunk of the time their criticism sounds more like “I don’t like it” than it’s not technically good. Like the wolf and trees one was really cool and was obviously space. 100% obviously space. The one guy just wanted the space that he thinks of when he says space. But space is vast and weird. Not to mention it looks different to people based on what they like about it. It’s just getting annoying that a good chunk of the criticism sounds like opinions.

Chris had no business winning for the space tattoo. Much better space tattoos were done with plenty of black and with much more difficult technical aspects.

That last battle between Laura and danni was bonkers!!! I couldnt decide which alien I prefer! I'd get them both haha

I’m going to do a sleeve on my right arm that’s astronomy and space related.. so far I have two really cool space tattoos that provide a bit of irony. One is an astronaut holding on to balloons and being carried away, but thé ballons are the eight planets and one is a UFO abducting someone visiting st the lake

I love how they are sometimes super peacefull but then someone makes a comment about anything. It's like I can hear guionist or directors saying "remember to make a snarky comment about this detail" before filming a scene.

Laura's 👽 tattoo is so good. My circle of friends and I during school called ourselves The Losers and aliens were our signature so that tattoo hits home for me.

Do they take pictures after they healed or what? Because yeah fresh tattoos look bright but there are signs of bruises and ect that comes with tattoos. Especially on the rib tattoo, I got Odin tattoo on my left side from partial in the armpit to inch into my belt line on the waist. I had bruising that lasted a while week, and swelling for about a few days.

Ryan's tattoo was great, but that astronaut was better IMO, except for the baby fingers

I don't watch tv so I've been viewing these compilations here and one thing I've noticed, besides all the repetition, is that I really don't like this show lol! There are many issues for me from the premise on down but what makes it the most unpalatable is the drama, the manufactured-for-ratings viciousness and the way everyone is so gleeful whenever an artist faces criticism. It's childish and unappealing to watch and I do know that I wouldn't go to any one of them for a tat. Ever. I wouldn't want to sacrifice the sense of safety, comfort or respect a good person who is also a good artist automatically gives to a client just to have an artist who has a bit straighter of an outline. Not worth it at all in my mind. You don't just live with the tat but the experience as well.
