The new manual (2022) has changed to play of the chain to 30-35mm or 1.18-1.38 inches but you check chain stretch by applying 10 - 15 kg (22-33lbs) force to the top of the chain and Measure the length of 18 links on the lower stretch of the chain. If the length is ≥ 272 mm, replace the chain. You rotate the chain around checking different sections. Not sure when they changed it
