Ahhh this song perfectly relates to what I've been through. Amazing & heartbreaking. The footnotes lyric is so powerful. I met a guy last year & we connected instantly. He was the first person I've ever really liked. We spent hours talking and he meant so much to me. But then I confessed my feelings & he said he wasnt ready & it all fell apart. Recently saw him at work with his girlfriend & had to walk past him like I didn't even know him. So sad to think that someone who used to be such an important part of my life is a stranger now. I wonder if it ever meant as much to him or if I was the only one who cared or was affected.

I’ve never been in a true romantic relationship before, as I believe this song is implying, but I will say it’s still super powerful. It seems to highlight many of the insecurities I see in myself. Is it just me that is believing I have good friends? Is it just me believing that I mean just as much to my few friends as they mean to me? When someone or something hurts you, you keep asking yourself, “could I have prevented this, if I had gotten ahold of myself?” This song embodies that grain of doubt in our heads perfectly. You are truly an amazing artist. Please, keep making songs. As long as you do, I will listen and make philosophical comments. :)

This song speaks to me more than I'd like it to. Every friendship that I've had has ended for a very long time and I'm the only one who seems to care. I always think that we're going to be friends forever, then they go on and have lives without me and I get left behind. I can't say that I find much comfort whenever someone says that they won't leave, because that's what everyone says before they go. What am I doing wrong that everyone wants to leave me? Am I just so awful a person that people want nothing to do with me? I don't know, all I know is that I'm done being everyone's second choice until they choose that I'm not a choice at all.

Or they will hear the song and maybe think it relates to them, or maybe change it. if we ever do face them tell them what this sound so well explains THEY ALWAYS CHANGE THE STORY OR THE FACTS AND WE BELIEVE IT. We start to feel bad, they would/do make us feel selfish.

This sums up my most recent breakup perfectly... 13 months together and out of nowhere, she tossed me aside for someone else, just threw me away like a piece of trash. My heart is broken beyond all repair now, and I will probably never feel any sort of love again because of what she did. I will never forgive her for what happened.

Reminds me of when my best friend just "erased" our friendship. I had two best friends, my male best friend who was like a brother to me and a female best friend whom I met during my apprenticeship. My male best friend died 2020 in a fire and it wrecked me pretty good. When I was looking for support my female best friend stopped talking to me at all. Luckily my other friends had my back but I will never forgive her for just leaving me hanging like that.

Yeah my mom is a ever so severely malignant narcissist!! I’m 53 yrs old now & I’m still a no contact with my mom ever since 2015!! I’m as well an extremely healed codependent & as well an ever so strong empath!! From the get-go I was the scapegoat child!! You see my, God created me to be an ever so extremely hardheaded & an ever so strong-willed Child/adult from the get-go!!! In-which caused my mommy dearest to be ever so envious & jealous of me!! Needless to say I had to go through a lot of counseling and a lot of suicidal evenings!! And I praise my most ever so precious Heavenly Father for teaching my how to really love myself & how to really enjoy my very own company!! Therefore I mostly fly solo as I have zero tolerance for any kind of toxicity!! And to be quiet honest I’ve found very few people in my entire lifetime who actually deserves all the goodness… that I have to offer within a friendship!!

This songs brings memories of one past relationship out of many. It's something I try to forget but can't really fully. I may have moved on and no longer love this person but the memories I have of once a fire that burnt so bright and thought it would last only lasted a little over two years when the idiot walked away for another.
