@@epicfan1598Lyle don't know mercy. He only held back because his dedication to being the best LPH assistant manager is the only thing that trumps his power, and most importantly, his acceptable fryer-cleaning skills.
It really did, Nacho may be in a hard life but Nacho has a heart still. Nacho has plenty of human moments in the series, but.. I think this one showed a lot.
And yes...if at any point in your life you allowed someone to stick a fried chicken drumstick in the front pocket of your best dress shirt...sorry my brethren...you are not alpha.
Shows tend to do that a lot though. Look at Westworld for example, a character lights a smoke and buts it out after literally single puff. And its not even a real puff because you never see the smoke leave their mouth.
@@ThisHandleSystemCanGetNicked good catch, i do believe mostly have empty cups if they drink weren't that integral to the scene since they need to talk clearly, based on the script. but i think OP didn't mean what you're mentioning here, it wasn't about the technicality of it.
I know this was a deleted scene but I really love how this show drives home just how much of a big man Hector acted like before his disability. During Breaking Bad you see him get more and more humbled, but this puts it into a better perspective
There's a part of me that wishes Los Pollos Hermanos was a real restaurant. The cleanliness of their kitchen is incredible. Their chicken must truly taste heavenly.
Legit looks so good. The Madrigal Taste Testing Scene haunts my empty stomach to this day. I do believe the location we see in BB (& likely BCS) is a real restaurant though.
Glad they cut this scene but I think they should have kept the part where Lyle tries to reach to phone so that would have explained how Gus came to the local.
it would feel out of place to try to call 911 just because hector entered the place. you would need the whole scene to understand why an employee would try to call 911. i think thats why they kept the whole thing out and let the viewer guess
I love how when Hector walked up to that old couple, he didn't intimidate or scare them, he simply just asked: "I'm sorry, what did you say?" Goes to show that he has some form of respect for the elderly. Of course we knew this since he wanted Tuco to think the same.
Hector probably doesn't intend to harm any of the customers. He's probably thinking he may as well damage Gus' reputation as a restaurant owner while he's waiting for Gus. So by letting these people go, they spread the word that Los Pollos has something sketchy going on behind the scenes.
@@Karen-rj9bp So? It's about being in Better Call Saul and ending up just being a nobody who got a little money for doing something that didn't make any difference. I would feel arse raped.
The man spoke up when hector was with the teenage girls but not with the single lady and old woman. Hector doin’ Albuquerque a service if you ask me, cleaning the streets up. Right when the girls left he shut his ass up QUICK
@@Skyblueparkbench you sound like you're projecting. If an old man was creeping around teenage girls, I too would have a problem with that for obvious reasons.
2:00-2:20. All kidding aside, Nacho saved a ton of lives when he confronted Lyle. Lyle was about to call the police and things would turn violent in a finger snap.
I like how Hector knew Lyle was only doing his job, and thus, didn't kill him. Lyle was insanely O.P. though, Hector is lucky he ended up crippled instead of dust.
I know it’s a small thing, but I love how Hector pats Lyle on the shoulder as he passes. Not a condescending gesture like patting his cheek would be, but telling him silently, “You good kid. I know you’re just doing your job. I admire your dedication to your boss. Don’t worry about it.” (Edit: I meant Lyle, not Lionel. Damn you, auto correct spelling!!! Color me embarrassed and too busy to dibble check my miss steaks…😱)
@@michaelsutherland5848 Alphas don't get off on intimidating innocent civilians (esp women/children), and they certainly don't need lackeys backing them up to do so. Hector is a beta's idea of an alpha.
@@blahblahmeowchow6383 Hector is by definition of a word a damn alpha, it doesn't matter he acts in an uncivilized manner, that has nothing to do with his position in hierarchy. Alpha, beta... those all describe positions in hierarchy not the actions of those found in those positions.
@@michaelsutherland5848 there is no such thing as an alpha or sigma male. But when someone now says something like “he’s a sigma” it just means he’s cool. Also no one takes the word “sigma male” seriously
There's a deep sadness to the way Hector says "Good afternoon, Señorita" at 0:29. He takes a sigh of futility, like he's remembering all the times he said it as a young man to girls who might actually want to talk to him. I feel like he was earnestly indulging in nostalgia for that when he tried to talk to her, and to the teenage girls about fried pigtail - he's not sneering at them or *trying* to mess with them, but still painfully knows he's an old man who just makes them uncomfortable. We also don't know if Hector was ever a charmer like Lalo in his youth, or if he's always gone through life having to threaten and intimidate people into tolerating him, and resenting everyone for it. Yet, if the Hector of a few years later were somehow restored to the level of youth and mobility he has here, he'd be elated.
Never thought someone could say "Nolan Miller" and make it threatening. But Mark margolis (hercor's actor) pulled it off. It's almost like he's saying: i know your name and we will come for you
@@robertjones6393So it is about race? And you implied Whites are less dangerous? You went against what "poc" claim so be a dear and repeat that. I have no agenda, but copy and paste. 👍👌👌👌👌
As someone who works in the food industry, putting a cup of soda (especially uncovered) in the trash is a dick move. Bags always rip so there will definitely be a mess to clean up. A nice touch.
how exactly did gus manage to avoid suspicion for so long when the cartel are so flagrant about showing up to his place and acting, well, like cartel guys who have some business with him? lol
Gus: you see that was old business owner of my pollo hermano in Mexico who we cut ties cause we had suspicious the money he earned wasn’t clean. They upset about the franchise. As here the note of apologies I send to them. Also this the restaurant they wanted to open.
That's funny, because I never played Far Cry 3, and after watching Better Call Saul, I saw a screenshot of Far Cry 3 and realized that Nacho was played by the same actor.
@@EnigmaGameMaster you should. Mainly for vaas. His acting is amazing. He is tuco +Lalo in far cry 3(literally. He is Spanish and sells drug too in far cry 3. Too much of a coincidence)
Wow! What a respectable health inspector making sure the food is safe for human consumption. I’m glad when he saw an issue with the curly fries him and his workers took action by calling the bawls. What a nice generous man! I bet his family is nice too.
I laughed my ass off for this scene. This is a very few moment I actually liked Hector and didn't see in him a bloodkilly Salamanca killer and drugpin.
At least he threw the cup in the garbage and gave the nice gentleman his drumstick to go. What a nice old man. I hope he doesn’t end up in a retirement home eating shitty jello.
To be honest, a shakedown like this would have had the media taking a look at this establishment from a unanimous caller possibly being one of the customers even if the proper authorities hadn't been called.
Lol totally. I can almost hear the discussion in the editing booth... "So, why exactly is everyone at this fast food restaurant all quiet and cowering ?" "Well, he's a Mexican senior walking around mumbling to himself and others, so OBVIOUSLY everyone knows that's he a viscous drug cartel gangster" "..." "Yeah, maybe let's say we cut this scene..."
