In October of 2023, the “Testing Playbook for Biological Emergencies” was published. Its purpose is to provide executive leaders with easy-to-use information that will inform their planning on how equitable access to accurate testing can quickly be provided to all communities during an emerging biological event and how the data from testing can inform emergency decisions at each stage of a crisis.
On November 16th, the Pandemic Center brought together authors of the Testing Playbook to discuss lessons learned and next steps.
This event was hosted by Jennifer Nuzzo, Professor of Epidemiology and Director of the Pandemic Center. The panel comprised of:
Scott J. Becker, CEO of the Association of Public Health Laboratories (APHL)
Mara G. Aspinall, Professor of Practice and co-founder of the Biomedical Diagnostics program, College of Health Solutions at Arizona State University; Partner, Illumina Ventures
This webinar was part of the Pandemics & Society series, which focuses on current pandemic threats and response systems as well as how to build preparedness for the future.
