Traverse has a great third row. It doesn't get much love from reviewers who tend to like to caress soft dashboards and fawn over shiny screens, but it's a really solid family hauler. Best riding out of any of them too.
Also this is a mid size SUV but i will say the new Jeep has plenty room in the third row. Also i don't know if heated seats would help because the air circulation is different back there. Maybe it's own buttons for the sun roof
@TheDiameter Funnily enough, every other car is way too expensive here in saudi arabia besides the cx90. they simplified the trims to only 3 and the top trim equals about 53k. meanwhile the x5 cost almost 110k base price
The Mazda would last longer since they are partly owned by Toyota and they make really good cars that would run almost forever as long you take care of them
Mazda CX-9 is what I wish I had as a '21 Telluride owner. I rented a fully loaded CX-9 in fall '21 and it was far superior. Not sure how the lower trims compare, but the vehicle is awesome.
Other reviewers have noted a wonky transmission and hard ride. Your thoughts? The I6 and RWD based platform should make it a decent handler, but does make it long for the amount of interior space.

Calm down KIAs bursting into flames all over the country was never a thing. They had an electrical issue that was recalled. All makes experience recalls People love to hate on kia bc theyve really come on strong in the last 10 years
For me they are excellent but they leave something to be desired in the third row so both need to be longer, wider and higher so that they have more comfort in both the second and third rows.
Third row really sucks. Plus they need to improve their service centers. Everytime they have some major repairs which shoots to 500-900$. Don’t know if these services are even required or are they just stealing money.
These are nice but just too cramped for a family SUV. More like a grandparent SUV, when you might use that 3rd row once or twice a year to take the grandkids to the local Dairy Queen.
Keep in mind Highlander and Grand Highlander only come with turbo 4 cylinder and not improving fuel efficiency or power. Most still like the natural aspirated V6 in a 3 row SUV.
Things he didn’t mention was this being a rear wheel drive caused vehicle. A plug in hybrid option. A turbo inline six engine. That’s what makes this a better buy. And Mazda is way more reliable than a Kia
@rodneynasir8089 yeh a turbo inclined 6cyl and the numbers still aren't any different that the telluride, this doesn't beat the telluride or the palisade
@rodneynasir8089 yeh and even with the Mazda having a turbo inline 6, the 0-60 time is around the same, the telluride has more space and the mpg is around the same depending on who's driving, the telluride looks better, and has a sun roof that opens all the way, the infotainment system in the Mazda isn't even touch screen unless you are using android auto and it locks the touch screen when you put the vehicle in drive, the Mazda isn't bad it just isn't better than the telluride.

Repair costs out of warranty will be a fortune to fix. This engine design requires most of the engine to be taken out just to access common parts. Other than that concern, it looks amazing.
joe i’ve heard repairs on this specific model can be quite costly because of the way the engine and parts are oriented. What are your thoughts about that?

I was looking to buy either a Kia telluride or Mazda cx90 I am having a very hard time deciding. Me and the wife are yet to go see them in person. We wanted to love the telluride but everything we see online has nothing but negative things to say yet it’s rated as one of the best 3 row mid size SUVs on the market. I find that hard to believe with all the negatives I keep hearing about them. We have 5 kids so obviously space is a pretty big deal to us but as is reliability. In your honest opinion what would you suggest I really need help???
The bad part is any work you do to that car you have to drop the engine instead of hundreds of dollars to fix is going to cost you thousands once the warranty is over get rid of it but still have no resale value
That lack of feet space in the third row ugh…otherwise, gorgeous vehicle. Tested a telluride. Everything is great with the exception for trunk space for me.
Small window in the third seat. The back end from the side looks like a pregnant whale. Inside tech is years behind the Telluride. The inside of the Telluride looks more upscale than the Mazda. Telluride has a ten year warranty and they actually have good reliability scores. Mazda had the standard 3 year warranty and turbo engines are known to cost more in maintenance over the long run. I keep my cars for 15 plus years. I don’t want to be fixing the Mazda’s engine out of warranty. I’ll take the Telluride.
