I believe the 140$ version is for both the one and three blade. Also keep in mind that this type of razor saves a ton in the long run due to how cheap blades are. The best safety razors are still around $50-80. $140 for two is around $70 a piece. Not too bad.

For head shaving, nothing beats my Braun series 9 electric shaver. Won’t give me a completely smooth head, but it gets pretty close and just takes a couple minutes. Especially with the self cleaning base that keeps it clean and lubricated every use. But I use the Leaf to shave the rest of my body and it’s so fantastic

it looks just as easy to use as a regular disposable razor. That illusion that gillete razors gives you that they are the safest and scaring you from other razors, may be exactly why Gillette gets away with selling razors and blades for outrageous prices. I switched to an old fashioned DE razor, one that's probably not as safe as the one in this short, didn't even have a bad experience with it. Go for it. Try something new.

You know what I’ve always done is I use an electric razor for the first pass and the second pass I use a regular razor using the electric razor first helps the regular razor glide across your face rather than pulling on the hair since the electric razor helps remove the bulk of the beard stubble.

I do almost the same. I add a third step and shave the areas that may still not completely smooth with a multiblade. The electric shaver gets the hair short enough for the razor to work comfortably and do the heaviest work with cheap replaceable blades And the expensive multiblade is used for minor touches and can last for months before needing a change.

Are you loading the blades right? Make sure they are resting on the two post on each side of the razor per each blade.

Had the same problem at first. 1. Use quality blades. 2. Let the tool do the work, you don't need a ton of pressure. 3. Use a pre shave treatment. I haven't had issues since doing all three..

Yeah I bought Feather razor blades for it. That’s what I’ve used with safety razors in past with good results on my face. Idk my wife’s tried it on her legs and it either doesn’t shave close or cuts the skin. It’s straight forward to load the blades. Idk maybe I got a lemon.

@@OhioShaves There is really no reason to use more than one double edge blade. The multiple blade system has always been a gimmick to stay relevant in the market. In fact, multi blade razors have a major disadvantage in that it can pull and cut hairs below the skins surface resulting with ingrown hairs.

I like that it's stainless steel, but the three-blade setup is a waste of money. Multibladed razors don’t enhance the quality of the shave. All they do is cause skin irritation and increase the risk of ingrown hairs. Double or single edge safety razors are a 140+ year old technology that is still the best shave money can buy.

I have very sensitive skin, so I only use regular cartridges twice before replacing them. So I bought an electric shaver because it was too much money, but it also irritates my skin. I think if I use only 2 blades in this razor, it will be less irritating to my skin, is it possible to test it?

How cost effective is it over time?

After the first year. I save roughly $130 per year. So huge savings for me and I always using a sharp blade. With my Gillette I would suffer through a couple of shaves because of the cost of there blades. I only pay .17 cents per blade and switch it out after 3 shaves.

@@OhioShaves Well personally it did make a big difference. But if you pay triple the price of a normal razor, of course it’s going to be a different experience. Granted, the blade replacements are very cheap compared to the high price you have to pay for Gillette’s, but in my opinion I think it’s more worth buying a razor that is already good for 30 bucks rather than paying triple or quadruple that.

The blades seem like they are too far apart to continually cut the hair as it is pulled out by the previous blade. If you know what I mean - that’s the purpose of the multi blade razor - it’s not just about shaving the same place three times. But I’m not sure, what do you think?

For a quality razor that lasts for the rest of your life you take good care of it, it's worth it. Especially when replacement blades are much, MUCH cheaper. cents per blade. Is how much the blade costs. Meanwhile, for the gillette mach 3 razor, 12 razor blade refills costs $40+ (in Canada at least). Gillette makes their profit from selling disposable blades.
