Would he have the assist total he has if most of the players did not thump their chests after a dunk...and then take a few seconds to look at their fellow players on the bench for approval? Would he have the assist total he has if most of the NBA players husteld back upcourt after a basket and put forth maximum effort on DEFENCE instead of trash talking and taking mini breaks???

I have been watching basketball since the late 1970s and I would say he has the most diverse repertoire of passing than anyone else. Touch, hard fast balls, lobs, behind the back, over the head, between the legs, left handed, right handed, off the dribble, standing still, off the pump fake shot, full court, pocket and bounce passes. He has it all.

The thing that I think really separates him is that fact that he catches the ball rolling and immediately makes the right decision. He might be the most effective ball screener of all time because that coupled with his scoring prowess

Thanks for sharing this video. For me = I love the unexpected pass that leads to an easy score. It demonstrates great vision and skill and caring about your teammates when they put forth the effort to move without the ball. This movement and passing are what make basketball a beautiful game!

Original video is from "thinking basketball" best basketball videos maker...even NBA official channel reposting his videos.... In last 70 years center make 15+ asist 6 times.... All 6 times it was Nikola Jokic who also have better efficiency season then MJ... Definitely on of the greatest big we ever seen

Anyone that’s a scorer will love to play with a passer like Jokic. You barely have to dribble to go to the rim or your spot and he’ll find you for a good shot . Just run the floor he got you

Better than Magic is debatable, but definitely better than LeBron. But he's NOT better than Luka. They have similar skills and he's probably less likely to turn the ball over on a pass, but he's also less likely to make as spectacular of a pass. On lobs I think they're equal (as they are on full court passes). But Luka is more mobile (amazing to say that about any NBA player) and can make better passes out to the 3pt line while drawing in the defense in the post. It's close, but Luka has the edge (if nothing else, because he's younger and still getting better). That aside, Luka is a better offensive player. He literally set the all-time NBA record in total offense this season. He scored 8ppg more than Joker. There's an argument there about how quickly Joker gets rid of the ball vs Luka holding on to it longer each trip, but that's the only area he has a significant advantage as a scorer/passer (that and the crazy FG%).

@@soramirez5473 it depends on your position, if your team runs you like a point guard and you always have ball in your hands you will average more assits than other guys, and it doesnt mean you are a better passer. Assist to turnover ratio is a better indicator but shouldn't be the only one

As for all time, there's a lot of disagreement. (I'm looking at various "all-time greatest passes" list while watching this.) I keep coming up with Magic, Stockton, Robertson, and Nash ranked highly. But Jokic is a joy to watch with those cagey passes coming from his height. Another good video, Quez.

IDK man I think he's higher on the all time passing greats then you think. But I think it's because of his height is why he can make passes others just can't make. Don't get me wrong theirs soooo many great passers in the leagues history though. But just think Jokic is barley half way through his career.

Not really a good comparison. James is not even a top 20 passer ! Jokic easily a better passer and Jokic is not even close to being one of the greatest passers of all time , unless we’re just comparing centers ! Top 5 passers … # 1 MAGIC # 2 BIRD # 3 WILLIAMS # 4 STOCTON # 5 NASH
