It does not end the debate for idiots, because 10 finals appearances is still more than six. Six 2nd place finishes is greater than none. And 39,000 points in a career is a bigger number than 30 ppg for a career. It's logical nonsense meets nonsensical logic.
@dennisdezarn5895 10 finals appearances and only got 4 championships to show for it everybody loves a winner not second place especially having the privilege of choosing which all-star who he wants play with. 39,000 points doesnt mean nothing compared to 10 scoring titles, that alone should tell you at any giving time jordan could of broke the scoring record but championships are more important than records.
@@dennisdezarn5895even idiots should know that 2nd place finishes don't count for anything in pro team sports. That would be like saying the buffalo bills are better than a team that actually won a super bowl because they finished 2nd four yrs in a row.
Not really. Basketball is offense, defense, and mentality. Jordan was fantastic as both an offensive and defensive player, and his mentality was unbeatable.
Or or or Jordan players was better putting the ball in the hole😒 how many assist u think lebron would have if his teammates was able to knock down their shots😒 or take it to the paint seeing they're shots aren't falling 🤷🏾♂️ Jordan rookie yr he had a 20ppg play and a 16ppg player look up the roster
Gilbert and LeBron are the only two people in the world who understand basketball apparently; Gilbert has plenty of MVPs, DPOY awards, and titles to prove it…oh wait
I never understood the “but he makes the right play” argument. What that really means is he makes a pass to a shooter at the perimeter 90% of time. Any average NBA point guard could make that play. But having the ability to consistently make a shot down the stretch no matter what the defense gives you makes you 10x more valuable for a championship team.
He "makes the right play" because he can't get backlash from missing. All he has to say is, "Welp it was the right play!" He only takes the last shot if it's meaningless. Where missing just causes overtime. I love how he's a "PASS 1st" player yet has 1ppg less than Kevin Durant. It's all about narratives with Lebron and the media and himself are great at manipulating it. Just like how he "makes players better" by turning them into spot up shooters.
Yep. It's a false narrative to use LeBron's weakness and make it seem like a strength. He doesn't want the moment, and when he has taken those shots, he hits them at a very low %. LeBron is a choke artist, and his people try to turn this weakness into a strength using media manipulation. I'm tired of it. LeBron is just a more hyped version of Karl Malone. Complete with the flopping and choking.
If MJ and LeBron played on the same team LeBron making the "right play" most of the time would be passing to Jordan to make THE play. The simple fact is the"right play" is the one that wins you the game. If MJ has almost 50% FG percentage in shots to either win or tie a game in regulation or OT with 5 seconds or less(LeBron is 18%) why wouldn't getting the ball in Mike's hands be the right play? The reason fans have a higher fondness for guys like MJ and Kobe taking the shot over LeBron dumping it off is because of pressure. That challenge of being the person responsible for winning or losing a game. It's that simple.
That's code for he's the type to run from the responsibility of the last shot. All legendary players want the last shot but Bron makes the right play by driving and kicking right?
Honestly ye but Yk the fans would have been mad ash shaming the ref for making the right call you know how much Lebron dickriders would have been at his throat
Yeah the guy that's tied for the most All-Defensive First Team in NBA history could "only score", right? I think Gilbert is just going all in on the shock value statements. I don't want to believe a former player can be this ignorant
I've never seen a player get so much Credit for Passing especially when LeBron is not Half the Floor General that guys like Magic , Jason Kid & even John Stockton were.
Gilbert says "Jordan would have averaged 60 and said the hell with it". I have to wonder what he has against Jordan because it is no secret that Jordan put winning over everything. Arenas knows this.
Yeaaaa, I don’t think DILbert watched MJ in the early years or even “The Last Dance”…MJ clearly stated “I’m going to win at ALL cost”, the guy was injured and told to sit out and STILL played, but sure MJ just cared about scoring 😂
@@bGzzzzz And let's contrast that with Lebron's actions this last season. Lebron, when it came time to pass Kareem's record, broke said record, had everyone stop and applaud him, then played about another 3 minutes, then pulled himself from the game and didn't play another minute. Now Lebron did break Kareem's record, that is a huge accomplishment, but you know what happened to the Lakers in that game? They lost, to the tanking Thunder that didn't have their top pick from that year due to injury.
They always say he makes “the right decision”. I can’t stand people that don’t keep it real. He doesn’t like the pressure so he defers to another player. This, as we have seen, not only takes the pressure off himself but also the blame. As much as I appreciate everything he does for people outside of basketball, No all star player has ever had more excuses than him.
They cover up for LeBron's weakness with late game free throws. He actively avoids getting fouled late in the fourth quarter if they're behind. That's why often we've seen him pass or settle for a 3 on a size mismatch.
@@jordanjenkins1671 that too. For sure. But it’s the scapegoating that I don’t like. I mean, people are watching. People that watch ball and ain’t star struck observe what’s happening. And I’ve watched him, on several occasions pass to another player, who didn’t always have a better look and who wasn’t the person that would make that clutch shot, then after they miss he’d throw his hands up in the air or have a disappointed look on his face. But in actuality he was too scared to miss and basically made a decision to throw the ball away, without actually turning it over himself.
Excellent point. I think one of the reasons why so many people don't like Lebron is because he gets so much ridiculous protection by the media. Like, if everyone were more honest about his shortcomings I think a lot of people would warm to him more. It's like him standing out there saying "I want my damn respect" to which my response "Well that's too freakin' bad okay?" The thing Lebron and his sycophants don't understand is you cannot force people to call you the goat. That's not how it works.
@@jordanjenkins1671 Size mismatch?, he's usually bigger than most the centers in the league. This is why against Warriors he ALWAYS plays, he's heavier than the center and nearly as tall, often plays interior position because rebounds are so much easier against that team., and no rim protection.
"The right decision" depends on the team you're on. If you're the guy that shoots 45-50 fg% and 80-85 ft% all game, you are probably the right guy to be taking the shots when it matters. If you're the guy that can shoot 30-35 footers and make them 40% of the time and you're on fire, it's probably the right decision to take the shot. If you're the guy that can only make dunks/layups with a consistent 70 ft% and the paint is clogged up but you are a pretty good passer, it's probably the right decision to pass it. The way these dudes make it all about Lebron is absolutely insane. Each team is going to the best options they have to win the game, that is the right decision.
So what made Gilbert fall in love with lebron is the center left the game and bron realized he had an advantage? Meanwhile Jordan just dunked over 7footers lol man Gilbert is such an idiot 😂😂
SWEAR I was thinking this as I seen your comment. MJ played in era of dominant big men who controlled the paint and he still scored at will unlike Bron who let Tyson Chandler and Andrew Bogut lock him up 😂. Tht there is even a debate for Bron shows the power of Klutch and how the media manipulates narratives🤦🏽♂️
In pressured times LeBron doesn't always make the right decisions, he choked in 2011. I get Gilbert played in the NBA but that doesn't mean he can get away with his disrespect and wrong takes. Jordan was great on offense AND defense.
Wtf are these other players getting paid for😂🤣 yall crazy😒 but give Ray Allen to much credit 🤦🏾 if lebron didn't go on that 16 point run to bring the heat within distance of that shot even making a difference 😒 it would've been just another 3🤷🏾♂️ kyrie 3 pointer didn't save the game😒 lebron block stop gsw from scoring 😒 lest take kyrie 3 away 🤔 lebron was the last to score with the free-throw which gives the cavs a 1 point lead 😒 gsw never scored after which mean either way lebron team wins 😒🤔 TONI ,PIPPEN RODMAN AND OTHERS WAS THERE WHEN JORDAN HAD BAD GAMBLING NIGHTS AND HAD TO SHAVE POINTS!!!!!
@PeteSReynaIII ok what about bosh only having 7 point in that game 6 vs Boston when lebron had 45 points 15 rebounds??? Bosh should've at least had 15 rebounds 🤦🏾 let Dennis Rodman play like that😂😂😂
I gotta respect Gilbert Arenas commitment to constantly have the worst takes on weekly basics MJ averaged 6apg in playoffs. Which is above his regular season average of 5. MJ was a extremely willing passer so saying that "Ah yea. MJ would score 60 and call it a day" is so disingenuous and straight not true
Great take on Gil having the worst takes. Some of the insane things he says makes me wonder if he just says them to generate traffic and comments on his channel.
@Romny… Bro 6 assists per game is #1 all-time for SG’s… Mike averaged 5.4 per game career…. 5.7 per game in the playoffs… and exactly 6 apg in the Finals. He was one of the best passing SG’s ever.
Per game all-time at his position MJ is 1st pts, 1st blk, 2nd stl, 3rd reb & T-5th ast. That’s top 5 in every category, top 3 in 4 outta 5 categories. Per game all-time at his position Lebron is 1st ast, 2nd pts, 11th stl, 13th reb & 18th blk. That’s top 5 in two categories, top 3 in two. The only category Lebron betters MJ relative to their position is assists… and that’s the only thing he’s ever ‘had on’ Mike. Not Lebron but MJ is the best and most complete player ever. So just know when you hear them say ‘Mike didn’t pass’…’mikes not an all-around player’…’mikes just a scorer’ bla bla bla, it’s all lies. They can’t tell all this truth about Mike and have people believing Lebron’s better. So they lie constantly.
For all the nonsense about _making the right play,_ Jordan & Kobe won more often in the Finals. They also have equal or better win percentages against championship contending teams in the playoffs too. And I'll never forget LeBron James passing the ball to Ben Wallace with the game on the line. Unless it's a direct alley-oop or pass to the rim, that's the equivalent of a turnover & a horrible basketball play. They're all-time great players so they all make sacrifices to make to make their teams better & win.
he just going to brick his shot if he takes it that's why he pass the ball instead, i rewatch how he attempted to win or tie the game against the nuggest in the WCF,, He LeFailed😂
It was Jordan’s job to score and take the best shots he could get without forcing it. He’s a shooting guard. When he played point for awhile he had over 10 assists per game. He is also one of the best defenders ever. For example when they were playing Utah with the bulls behind he would do things like strip the ball from Malone and go down and score the game winning shot. That’s literally complete control of the court/ball. That’s what his job was. His team had specialists for things like rebounds Dennis Rodman. Shooting 3’s Steve kerr, paxon. All around player like pippen, tony kukoc and their tall layers like grant and longly for rim protection. Jordan was just doing his job .
LEBRON IN TREE SEASON HAVE MORE 30 POINT AND 9 SEASON OF 8,5 AST LEBRON 19 SEASON STRAIGH WITH 25 PTS PER OR MORE FOR SEASON MICHAEL SEASON 2001 22 PTS 2002 20 PTS IS TO DIFERENCE
It’s not that lebron trusts his teammates. It’s that he doesn’t trust himself to be THAT man. That way people can give an excuse on how the teammate missed the shot & make the teammate the scapegoat.
2018 Finals game 1 is proof of this. Bron is having game of his life, has Curry guarding him 1v1 at top of the key and instead of attacking he passes to George Hill and the rest is history. Decisions like tht are why it hard to call him one of greatest scorers despite him being #1 in total
@@tdup191I was rooting for Lebron those 4 years in Cleveland. I forgot all about how George Hill wound up with the ball in the first place. Its interesting how 100% of the blame went to JR.
@@Dipset415 Hill didn't miss, he got fouled on the pass. Bron still should have forced them to foul him and he go to line himself with chance to take lead
"Makes the right basketball play" So did Jordan. Because he was such a great clutch scorer, the right basketball play was for him to get the ball and everybody to get out of the way 😆 You'd never see him settle for a 3 against a smaller player because he's afraid of the free throw line late in the game.
You mean because of the level of competition in the 90's, the right play was always for Jordan to take it to G league-level talent with no athleticism or versatility. Jordan's advantage was that he was supremely more athletic than anyone in the 90's and the only guy who could guard him was on his team. Oh and that he had the best roster in the league to boot as well.
@@phillyphan1346best roster?! 🤣 Jordan routinely did more with less. His team didn't go out and get all stars. They kept things rolling with bottom of the round draft picks. Remember: Rodman was on his way out of the league after quitting on the Spurs when the Bulls signed him. He was no all-star, and on his way out of the league. LeBron has played with more than 3 times as many all-star players as Jordan, yet has fewer accolades across the board, including championships.
@@phillyphan1346 nobody said Rodman was. Facts are facts though. His craziness and antics had nobody willing to deal with him. He was on his way out of the league, period. The Bulls turned his whole career around. He's the only notable FA the Bulls ever signed during the Jordan era. Everyone else after the Pippen/Grant draft in 1987 was a low draft pick.
"Makes the right basketball play" Tell me how many games you can remember were won because of LeBron passing to somebody else to take the shot??? All I can remember is Korver, George Hill, and Danny Green missing those assisted shots and the media criticizing LeBron for passing instead of trying to drive, be willing to get fouled, and make clutch free throws.
The “right play” gave bron a whole lot of L’s! So if Jordan was making the wrong plays and still making the big shots and going 6-0 in the finals then screw the right play ! Some can say bron was being passive because he was scared of the moment. The only way Lebron is in this goat convo is by people like Gilbert making hypothetical arguments which is telling. And young kids hear Gilbert and blindly nod their head in agreement because they don’t have context and nuance on how great Jordan was at winning and playing and involving his team. So they think Jordan was just a scorer smh
I swear Gilbert Arenas has to be on Lebaby's payroll because the decoy comment is exactly what Jordan and every great did all the time. I also guess he forgot Paxon and Kerr closing Finals because of him trusting his teammates.
I've watched enough of this channel to have seen Uncut Hoops praise and defend LeBron at times. He just doesn't put up with bullcrap takes that lie for LeBron and tear down past greats to elevate LeBron.
This is a cop out argument. Everyone knows that the big time players need to hit big time shots. LeBron "making the right play" isn't always passing to a wide open scrub on the corner. That dude is a scrub. LeBron needs to take that shot and he usually doesn't. Also, I wonder how many of LeBron's amazing assists are just him handing the ball off to a shooter running by him and using LeBron as a screen? Or just LeBron making a simple pass to an open guy right next to him? You can't compare his passing to Jordan and Kobe's ability to take the burden on themselves. Sometimes, the right play is passing, but you gotta be selective on that. LeBron almost always puts the burden on others when HE is the leader.
00 Dilbert - “give MJ the 07 Cavs and they’re not making the playoffs” Ok - if we go by that logic, then give MJ all the Olympic team LBJ played on and the Heats 2011-2014 and he’s winning Gold/Chip in each of them 🤷♂️
We all don't know what Jordan and Bryant would've done with lefruad's cavs teams. Also the east for most of the time Lefraud time with the cavs was a joke.
MJ was once assigned the role of play maker and had more than 10 assists for a sequence of games...and that made him have a sequence of triple doubles in those games as well. LBJ could do that only in his dreams...
88-89 season, he had 10 triple doubles over an 11-game stretch, and on 4-7- 89 against Detroit, was three rebounds short of going all eleven. Even still, he averaged 32.7 pts, 10.8 reb, and 11.4 ast.
Gilbert acts like Michael Jordan played and thinks like him. Jordan is not Gilbert just cause he scored a lot. Also what did being "pass first" against Dallas in 11' get him LeBron".
They lie about how good LeBron is/was, they lie about how bad his teams were/are, they lie about how good other greats were and how good their teams were, they credit one player with something they slam the next guy for, they simply cannot talk about this stuff honestly or consistently lol I'm embarrassed for these clowns.
When Jordan played point guard his stats were: 30 ppg, 9 rebounds per game, and 10assists per game, with 3 steals per game for good measure. I'd call that an all round player. I believe if Jordan kept playing point guard for his whole career, he'd still have GOAT status, except we'd be calling HIM the greatest all round player of all time as well. Jordan had defenders second, and third guessing their decisions. It was marvelous. Wish these casual fans today could've seen him play in his prime. But because they didn't see MJ in his prime, all they can do is judge by highlight videos, and stories from NBA legends. Basically anyone that played Jordan in his prime all say the same thing. They all say that they feared him. It's a shame that there's generation now that'll never know what dominance looks like. It's shameful that Arenas would stay things to attempt to discredit Famers simply because he isn't.
Analyst? Nah he's an Opinionist, A Take-Talker, a Taker...Takes money for spitting BS Takes. Imagine Jordan begging for a Big to be taken out so he can attack the basket lmfao. Also, that's not being a decoy, especially if even Gilbert saw LeBron beg the coach, it was a Coward's strategy. It's like Gilbert comments on players' game style instead of what they actual accomplished and never supports his BS with actual stats or historical facts. It's like him and Perk are trying so hard to be the next Barkley but both lack Barkley's intellect, sense of humor, wit, cool, and actual analytical critical thinking skills.
Jordan was 9 times all defensive first at the same time as scoring champ. That really shows how much of a beast he was on both ends. Also steals champ at the same time as scoring champ. Something that never gets mentioned. Jordan is top 5 in both totals and per game averages in both scoring and steals. Some players maybe both for one stat but not 2. Jordan took it to another level in the finals especially the first 3. 91-- average 11.4 assists per game highest for anyone not Magic. 92 - - average an impressive 42% for 3s and in game 1 shot six 3s in a half which was a record for 18 years until Ray Allen the only person to shoot more in a half 93-- average 41 points per game highest ever.
Every Finals MJ was out to prove definitively that he was the best in the game. In 91, he is playing the best point guard ever, so he not only averages 30+ but also 11+ assists a game. In 92, they said Drexler was a better 3 point shooter, so he shut that talk down right from the jump In 93, Barkley won MVP but Jordan was the best in the world
@@J23LA24 Finally someone else who notices this, YES, he dropped an BUNCH of assists on Magic, 3's on Drexler, also, notice when he dunked on Motombo... used his own taunt against him, same with Mourning. He was a cheeky bugger.

Anyone who actually watched Jordan in his hay day will tell you he is not only the best offensive players in the game but arguably one of the defensive players in the game. bro Micheal Jordan even has a Defensive player of the year award, I know that because unlike you I took the necessary 30 seconds to look it up on basketball reference.
I have a friend that uses Gilbert arenas takes to debate me and I can't explain to him that the only reason he could ride with those takes is because he's never played basketball irl. Dude literally doesn't know how to dribble but tells me modern NBA players are better and more skilled and that it's not the rule changes allowing much more offense with travels and carries not being called. I just don't understand how I can take someone's opinion seriously when they don't know how to shoot/dribble/pass/defend irl and think I am crazy for saying the game isn't as good as it was in the 80's-90's. They get their takes from football players like Shannon Sharpe and keyshawn 😂 or hoopers with agendas 😂 like gil
I really admire players who can make the right play. Like Ron Harper, so underrated, his decision makng was on point. Matter of fact, he always chose to pass it to Michael who then proceeded to win the game for his team. Yes, Ron Harper might actually be the goat now that I think about it, he really understood the game.
When your team can produce an 18 winning streak as well as a 62-20 season shows a team working as a well tuned unit. M.v.p.s on both sides of the ball is remarkable. Then you add the fact that the world knows you will getvthe ball and cant stop is just icing on an already fabulous cake. He makes hiis team great as well as his own greatness
Bron is playing his 21st season. No player in the history of the game has or will be as dominate as Lebron this late in their career. Jordan could still put up numbers with Washington, yet did not control the game like he did in his first 13 seasons, or Lebron still does 21 years later. Lets just praise both instead of having to choose one and hate the other...the psychosis of who we are is real
This proves just because you played a sport does not mean you understand the sport or have the authority to do so. He is either highly delusional or does not know how to critically think.
