Muir Woods is Beautiful but way overcrowded. However, if your willing to drive about 15 minutes further (drive 36 minutes vs 22 from the Golden Gate Bridge) Samuel P. Taylor State Park is the place to go!
Fun fact, I know that cyclist, she taught a class at a Jewish youth group that I attended back when I was in middle and high school!! I do remember her saying that she bikes a lot, as do I! What a wild coincidence that you ran into her while filming! Great video Btw 👍
WE USED WHITE GAS IN OUR COLEMAN LANTERNS IN THE 60s WHEN MY FAMILY STATRTED CAMPING AT SAMUEL P. It is such a nice quiet place to camp, we went there probably 12-15 years in the 60-70s, always in the summer when school was out, many great memories.
I grew up in Corte Madera and graduated from Redwood High School in 1975. I spent many days at Camp Taylor and have wonderful memories of it. One thing. Coastal Redwoods have an unusual ability. They can take in water at the top of the tree, which is why they tend to flourish where there is fog. This is why they grow taller than the Sequoia Redwoods, and why they only grow along the coast. Thank you for the video.
I've tent camped there many times. I agree, it's a beautiful park. I have one reservation though. I would prefer a tent only campground to be available. I know many families enjoy their RVs and motor homes, but it's nice to camp without those monsters looming over you.
