I just bought one from Costco ($150) and it kept about 30 lbs of ice for over 4 days.

Which brand? I wanted to pick one that was heavy enough not to blow out of the boat when empty, hard enough to sit on without getting dented over time, and somewhat of a camo color to be in the duck boat.

I did the same at Costco in June 2024. Got it hone and could not open it. Went on line to see if anyone had the same problem. It appears that the gasket is superior in that the cooler can create a sealed vacuum. If this happens just loosen the drain plug. This explains why the Yeti is easy to open even with a tight drain plug.

Yeti Fan Boys will say the Igloo and Pelican are not as good. But things have changed over the last few years. Yeti continues to overprice their coolers thinking that they are the top dog and people will pay any price to have one. Not so fast Fan Boys. There are 4 other manufactures who make coolers now that Yeti is equal to for far less than Yeti. If you just have to have a Yeti, purchase a Yeti sticker and slap it on the outside of your cooler and you'r good to go.

Not the best video. Need to compare to something? 20lbs of ice seems like not enough. Without a comparison seems just like a guess.

That's a fair critique. We have a small yeti which would have been comparing apples to oranges on an ice test. If I get access to a similar size yeti I will definitely do a side by side comparison. I think that was the 2nd video I made on the channel so I'm still learning and improving
