My husband pulled up this 1972 performance and was amazed and started smiling. He asked me who I thought you looked and sounded like. Wow........it was freaky. I looked and sounded like that at almost the same time period. I was a vocalist in high school. Even your mannerisms and stage presence resembled mine at that age. I have watched this several times and I still smile. It is like watching myself. Btw.... we don't look that much alike anymore. I actually remembered all the words to this song. Keep rocking on! And.......Happy Birthday to you on the 10th!

Well, we ALL change through the years, do we not? At 66 y/o, I look nothing at all like the guy who bought this 45 in the late spring of /71, Wallach's Music City, Torrance CA. . Back then, my hair was shiny black, my 5'9" frame was a 30 waist, & I was lean, mean, & ready for anything. I was invincible, & just knew it would always be that way. Well, time has humbled me--I've landed in some serious pot-holes, & had to dig myself out, but I'm still here, & I love this song. Wolfsky9, 66 y/o

This is March 2024, the record still sounds great.

I was making my own record charts back then, and this record was in my top 3 for four weeks in February and March 1972. If it wasn't for Brand New Key, it would have been No.1. I'll Make You Music also made my Top 10 in 1973. I still have the 45s and play them to this day. Thanks, Beverly. So glad videos of you are finally popping up on You Tube.

FEI, "Don't Say You Don't Remember" by Beverly Bremers entered the pop Top 40 on January 22, 1972 (9th grade for me) and stayed in the Top 40 for ten weeks, peaking at #15. Beverly, I was 24 y/o when this masterpiece came out . I bought 2 copies of the 45 from Wallach's Music City in Torrance CA, because I knew I'd wear one copy out. From the 1st time I heard this, I loved it--it's one of those songs that just stayed with me. As the years have gone on, I still love the song--perhaps more now, than ever. At 24 y/o,I was handsome, & just knew, I'd always be young. Well, at 66 y/o I know differently, but Thank-you for this beautiful memory. Wolfsky9, 66 y/o now.

This song, along with Sonny Geraci/Climax's "Precious and Few" and a few others..really brings back my graduation year of 1972 to vivid life. I started in radio in 1971 and hope my support helped push this to where it got..this beautiful, amazing talent is still at it and can be followed at @bevyboop on Twitter. Listening to this beautiful song Thanksgiving 2021. I was 11 then, now 61!!!

She did perform this song on American Bandstand, I believe the only performance of the song on national tv while the recording was a major top 40 hit and while she was doing live theater in the early '70s. Such a beautiful lady and one of the best recordings of 71.

September of 20/24. We are around 52 years down the road from this one was released and it’s still one of my favorites that I revisit often. Thanks for the music and the memories.

This song probably would have been a hit for many female vocalists of that era. But I'm glad that Beverly got it. She made it the perfect match of song and singer.

The year I graduated high school and started college. Still a beautiful song and singer. They don't make them like this anymore.

A hopeless romantic even though I'm a guy, knowing there was that someone out there just for me. Played this song everytime I suffered a broken heart. It's gotten a lot of play over the years. Yet I still wear my heart on my sleeve. It will always have a place in my heart. Love is incomplete less it is shared.

just ran across this song while going through stuff from my sister who died in 1973. Remember this song specially because it was from a time my sister and I use to sit and listen to music all the time in the 1970's. Brought tears to my eyes and then joy. Until very recently, I almost forgot about this song (was in the 1st grade); due to its inclusion on Rhino Records' Have a Nice Day collection, childhood memories came back.

As we get older we think more about our past mistakes and linger on them. Wrong thing to do. This song brings back memories of times of innocence. Or does It reflect a TIME of innocence when It came out. This song...yeah...call me a wimp...does trigger deep emotions. I played this vid to my sister and her eyes watered also. Good memories.

I still have my autographed Beverly Bremers 8x10. I loved this song so much I wrote to her at the theatre where she was in "Hair" and she actually answered! I still remember I was so mad when she was supposed to be on American Bandstand and they interrupted it for a special report. These were the days before VCRs. I would love to find that clip someday.

I heard this when it was first released, and fell in love with it, and you Beverly. I was about 22 or 23, and playing in a band full time in D.C. We had two girls in the band, both who could sing it, but we couldn't get the guitar chords right. So we never got to perform it. I had my part down, and still play on my bass from time to time. I wore out 3 45's from playing the song so much. Glad to see you're still around, and blessings to you always!

It's amazing that his song has the same affect on so many people. For me, it takes me back to 3rd grade. Everyday when I'd get home from school, mom would have the radio on in the kitchen and I'd hear this song. I'm not afraid to say that I tear up when I hear it, I guess I still long to be that kid in 3rd grade again. Thank you Beverly for such a great song, and for bringing back great memories.
