Dear Class of 2020 is a virtual commencement celebration bringing together inspirational leaders and artists to celebrate graduates, their families, and their communities. Watch the full stream here: • Video
I see some negative comments about the speech seeming rehearsed. Of course it’s rehearsed. Valedictorians rehearse, Presidents rehearse, MLK rehearsed. That’s what you do when you want to cover major topics, and speak with accuracy and meaning to your audience. You can tell she spoke from the heart as she related to our struggle through her own experiences in life, no one could have written that except her. Don’t be the negativity she’s speaking about.
People always have to find something to complain about. Had she been reading off a teleprompter they'd probably be mad that she didn't rehearse it. She spoke beautifully and powerfully with a lot of heart and that's that. Congratz graduates!
Why do I feel like her speech is not just for Class of 2020? Her message is really indeed applicable for every human being that are still alive and fighting this year 2020.
She’s a great example and inspiration to us all .✨💖✊🏾btw there’s a lot of negativity down here so just focus on the great ,beautiful inspirational, video and leave the comments 🤣🤣(but for real )
This is how to give a speech. This is how to motivate people and let them see all works of life. Not just glorifying success, but telling them to be ready to fail and use that failure as a stepping stone to greatness. I'm still learning, still growing, and glad I watched this video.
@@erikeriks doesn't take away the fact that it's a great speech. Her delivery is also worthwhile. You can have the greatest lines in the world, but if you don't deliver them well, the lines won't have an impact on the audience.
This really opened my heart and eyes. I’m in that stage where I’m letting failure and the people get to me. Criticism and negativity from the people and from myself ruin me and I feel like I’m not enough or powerful enough to show who I really am with my gifts. After seeing this, this gave me so much hope, she admits to having failures just as much as success and she keeps going, she admits that it should be about honesty and diligence than winning, she even admits that I don’t have to act, speak, or look a certain way to show the real me. Thank you Beyoncé ❤️
Damn this made me cry. 😭 I'm the first in my family to graduate from college, and I'm about to start graduate school. My dream is to start a school for kids with special needs. Lately I have been feeling scared and inadequate. I have wondered if I can really do it. This encouraged me so much to keep going after my dream, to work hard and make it happen and keep pushing no matter what. Thank you Beyoncé for your powerful words. ❤️
High school drop outs who didn't give up on their goals and pursued their musical careers, successfully. did I mention they have a combined net worth of 1.4 billion?
Amaryllis the Realest Congratulations! Go after your dreams! What other people feel or think doesn’t matter! They aren’t helping you by looking down on you, so dismiss their opinions. Trust me it’s only their opinions. The more ppl say no the harder i work to prove to myself yes it will happen. Now watch me work!!! The world needs more ppl like you with a loving caring heart! Now show us your work! Congratulations and we wish you the best of luck. Prayers to you on your beautiful journey. 🙏🏽❤️
If you become a doctor only at 40 or 50 years old, there are lots of lives that you will save. I believe that applies to all the other career paths as well.
She is home arrest for satanism. She is handcuffed. You will never see her agin publicly. Her last videos shows only her in half with fotoshop. She only supports all illuminati topics. She is kab rat controlled and sometimes malfunctioning like during that basketball game. She will be executed together with other celebrities but she will choose: to save her face: slipping pills, otherwise gitmo execution. Wake up people!!!!!!
I don’t care if she didn’t write. She said it! She used her voice to inspire. I don’t care who wrote or helped write it. She dropped gems. That is the important part. The message is the important part! She continues to thrive, progress, she’s light on injustice.
"Empowering all marginalised identities". You'd have to prove that statement before you think it's true. It's actually not empowering. She's instilling fear and hoplesness in them. In other words: Evil.
Lol by buying fake hair, being fake, making people worship you and your split personalities from MK ultra mind control. Seriously sasha fierce. Do any of you satan worshipers care your souls are going to burn like hers in crazy in love video when selling out (destiny's child) to jayz. She's super selfish and self absorbed. YOUR SOULS HAVE BEEN WARNED. If you don't care for my message, stop pretending to be Christian and be what you really are, hellbound.
It is because of her husband, Jay Z. He sold out the community for a huge payout for himself when he teamed up with the NFL. When asked about taking a knee and Colin Kaepernick, Jay Z said that we have moved beyond taking a knee. All for money in exchange for Black lives. It is hard to hear these words when the money her husband is making for their family is at the price of more dead Black people.
@@Blockchain_babe Just because she didn't go to college doesn't mean she doesn't have wisdom about life. I'm in college and everything she said motivated me to keep going in my education and understand that i will mess up and that's ok. She dropped some wisdom that everyone can take to better themselves.
I read a lot of "motivational" content but Beyonce's speech especially resonated with me as a 2020 college graduate. One of the most inspirational messages I've heard lately. I took a lot of notes.
@@SkyAndersonReacts Not to mention the very fact that she had the audacity to state that she comes from an era where "black women didn't have a seat at the table", Beyonce has always been sitting at the table, that's why she has the money that she has, wtf is she talking about!?
@@Serenity-sg4jf you're entirely stupid aren't you? Is Beyonce the only black woman in this era? Do you know how hard she had to work to be at this point in her life compared to her fellow white female musical peers?. Black women have always been neglected a seat at the table and that's facts. Wake tf up
"A group that does not get to be center stage... BUILD YOUR OWN STAGE & MAKE THEM SEE YOU!" Powerful message from the Queen! Don't wait for opportunities to be handed to you because they might not ever! Don't wait for approval! Know your worth, and create your own platform of excellence! Thank you Beyonce! I am proud to be apart of the Class of 2020! Cheers to us!

@MrBambinoc if it's taylor, she "worked hard". If it's a black woman, you call her "demonic" "sold her soul" "illuminati". Gurl cant we accept that black people are very worthy to be that talented and that famous
I am not lying when she said BUILD YOUR OWN STAGE I couldn't hold back anymore and started sobbing.. I had goosebumps and my eyes were filled.. these days I have been so anxious , so scared bout my future and what it holds.. there's ba lot of moments when I wished I have never been born.. idk if these words of encouragement brought any change in me but I don't wanna give up so easily
You are the Reason to not give Up so that this World can change for the better by not only being apart of it but sharing what makes you special with US all
i'm not even a part of class 2020 and here i am i feel the same way as you do i am so scared about my future as well i am 22 yrs old and a college student i'm in a situation where i want to drop out of college and at the same time i want to keep going but its hard and having a learning disability makes it even harder sometimes i just want to give up and even though i try to push forward there's alway these negative thoughts in my head saying oh your not cut out for college or your just not smart enough and even the people around me are not helpful or not even trying to encourage me to keep going it's a struggle and hearing Beyonce words is what i needed to hear because i been feeling so unmotivated to keep going
“I REMAIN a work in progress. And that’s the beauty of growth.” Love this line. We can never stop learning, never stop furthering ourselves - there is always more to improve and more to discover.
Sandy Jones “When you spend your valuable time thinking, speaking, and typing negative thoughts, you are investing in something that will give you absolutely no return in your investment.” -Beyoncé 😗🙏
Dang! I graduated college 13 years ago, yet I find this message relevant in my life today. If I could add to Beyonce's beautiful message, it would be that you don't have to have everything figured out after you graduate. Life will teach you some things that the books could have never. Congrats to the Class of 2020!
We all proud of you! Even if your parents did not know better to show you [our parents do the best they can with what they had + unfortunately they have their own struggles many we may never know because they did not grow up in an environment that encouraged emotional and mental elevation like we are seeing now --- forgive them and do not let their short comings take away from your achievement! ] proud that you have come this far and excited for your future. Today is the 1st day of the rest of your life!
Lol haters in the comment section prove the point she just made: “your success will make some people invest a lot of energy in trying to take you down. Don’t take it personally”. Like it or not, at this point Beyoncé has already established herself as a cultural legend.
@@Honjonck that's not how things work in real world. Humans are multifaceted beings. I'm not a big fan of her music personally, but it has nothing to do with her relevancy or speech relevance.
"Don't talk about what you're gonna do. Don't just dream about what you're gonna do. Don't criticize somebody else for what they're not doing. You, be it. Be about it. Be about that action and go do it." 💯💯
When she said, "you are the answer to a generation of prayers" I cried. As a first generation university student, I'm going through so much. But I know I need to break the cycle. I'm the Chosen One. There is nobody else. Kudos, Class of 2020.💪✊👊

i’m not graduating any time soon, i’m not american, i’m in a country that is nothing like america, but i keep coming back to this speech and cry like an idiot, the way she speaks!! the way she looks at you!! yes she’s looking at the camera but i feel like she’s literally looking at my soul. i will forever admire you beyonce even though i’ve just known you in the last two years and i don’t know everything about you but i will thank you and remember your beautiful impact forever💟
Beyoncé and I are the same age. I didn’t pursue my talents in music and performance, and here I am listening to her and feeling inspired to keep pushing. I absolutely adore her and am moved to follow my own path.
5:06-5:12 I soooooooo needed to hear that because that’s what I’m going through. I feel like the world is against me because I’m in college pursing my nursing degree. I had no idea Bey has been told those things too and she turned out to prove those people wrong. She got the last laugh. Thank you Bey for these powerful words. I’m gonna keep replaying this video whenever I need that boost. Love you Bey💛💛💛👑🐝
The people disliking this video, are either racist, anti feminist, negative, shallow minded, numb to positive change or just plain cruel. This is the most inspirational thing i ve seen all day. Thankyou Beyonce 🕊💓
Fear Kratos how about you shut up. She is giving out a speech of class 2020 and you’re over here being a hater. Go hate somewhere else nobody asked you to be here.
Do u realize she didn't write it so actually it wasn't her that made u feel that way,it was the person that wrote it 💯🤦🏽♀️ u know she can't articulate sentences she's a dropout
this speech is like a warm hug 😭 you speak with such passion and heart it makes me feel so inspired and fulfilled. thank you for being my light for over 20 years!!! you will never know the impact you've had on millions of us. please never stop growing, and following your gut wherever it leads you. we will follow and support you. thank you for everything, bey!
Wow, 10 minutes! I've never heard her speak this much! She's so beautiful! Yeah it's "rehearsed" like some have mentioned, and that's because she's a perfectionist. This is actually how a speech should be properly delivered, in case y'all didn't know.🤭😂
Thank you so much, Beyoncé. Thank you for your words of encouragement regarding our youth. Our world is a very scary one for them and you, not only acknowledging that but guiding them with great advice on how to navigate in this cruel world is the magic they needed to you're an example of black excellence. You are a voice of a generation and it warmed my heart that you had something so beautifully eloquent, poised and gracious to say.
No better person to hear these inspirational words from than a woman who consistently gives everything she's got to her craft. I love this so much! Thank you, Beyonce! ❤
4:21 “you don’t have to speak a certain way to be brilliant”, she knows she’s not a public speaker, she’s just a legendary stage badass. Deal with it, stay safe and accept facts.
